RP:Supplies In Kregus, Revealing the Blue Witch

Part of the Queen of the Goblins Arc

Kregus

Dyzz was at the docks, soaked, but no longer disguised. It was refreshing, being here with a carrier ship that she had built to Merrien's specifications... and a crew of Muju tribe goblins, roughly 25, and some hired sailors. They were loading the heavy crates, courtesy of Ryeanna, the lich queen. Dyzz had quite some contacts, indeed. The ship was being filled, and the supplies where enough to feed a large army. Hopefully enough to feed a small city. Dyzz eyed it all critically, ready to captain the vessel herself. Rynvale kept their noses out of her business, she had paid their taxes and fees. The goblins weren't a non existent sight in Rynvale, anyway... though refugees had stopped pouring in. The ship was a grand affair, with three massive sails, and seats inside for rowing. Dyzz had cut the wood, and put it together herself, and in it was planted a hidden totem, that only the captain could get to, to bless the ship to great speed and strength and endurance, and to give the crew the same, as well as luck with the elements. One of Dyzz's powerful masterpieces. She got up on deck, and barked orders at her crewmen, especially the muju tribe. One particularly large warrior, Brahms, stayed by her side... the only well armed warrior goblin besides herself aboard the ship. The two yellow eyed twins where quiet. One of the sailors was an assassin guild spy there to keep tabs on Dyzz, courtesy of Jerica, though Dyzz hadn't caught on. Jerica was 'The Truth' that Dyzz had been so earnestly searching for. But now, Dyzz had dirtied her own hands taking care of the marshal Provik, and just needed to get these supplies in.

Kelovath made his way onto the boat shortly after Dyzz did. He paid little attention to the Muju tribe loading the ship. For now, the paladin followed Dyzz and did his best to prepare himself and the ship. Silent prayers were being spoken and very quickly. He wasn't fond of being on a ship, but he gave his word to help Dyzz and his word would be kept. "You are well equipped, Dyzz." He laughed a bit, keeping his nerves low. This was going to be one interesting ride.

Azakeal had taken up post along the railing on the side of the vessel, an apple puled from his pack and munched on as he watched the proceedings. He didn't expect much to go wrong and a strange ease had settled over him. He wasn't one for prayers, so if the priest came near him with that drivel he'd shake his head lightly. As for Dyzz, the male would always keep an eye on her, in part because of her handsy ways, and in part because he'd taken a liking to the troblin's drive in their last venture. The woman herself had an appreciation he didn't grace many with. "You ready to get this tub a floatin', boss?"

Nowfaleena stood near one of the masts in the middle of the boat. Leaning against the large mast, her paws folded behind her, the caracal was watching what was going on. She wasn't sure she was the best creature to be working on missions in Kregus, what with her utter uselessness the last time she was there with the troblin...but she wouldn't admit her doubts. Hell, she'd work hard to prove herself wrong. Her glowing greens landed upon Kelovath, and a nod of greeting was given. Sensitive hearing flicked to take in all the words that drifted through the air about her. Her gaze drifted to the fox, then to Dyzz as she waited for the troblin to answer, never speaking a word of her own.

Dyzz looked up at Kelovath, and gave him a re assuring sort of smile. "Yes, Dyzz keep herself ready. We will prevail." She settled her savage arsenal and witch gear about herself, and made rounds about the ship, barking her orders and such, and paying attention to her most important allies. Brahms got a big hug, and quick grab of his goblin butt, to which he sort of just rolled his eyes and accepted his lot. She made her way by Azakeal, and grinned, and tried for a grab of his butt too. "Dyzz is castin' off now, yup!" She stopped by Jallhie, and kicked him in the rump, tellin him to carry faster, to which the goblins all snickered. Then, she yelled at them some, and they shup. Then she told them anyone who could manage to tie the troll to the mast would get fun times with Dyzz. The game was on. Dyzz stopped next to Nowfaleena, smiling, and told her, "You's should probably not stay on that mast. Gonna get rough right here. Dyzz glad you come, Leena. Dyzz feel better with you's here." She continued on to take the helm, and they began to cast off... most of the goblins busy with wrestling the troll, so the human sailors were earning their lot. It was for the best, the goblins couldn't really sail anyway. They were great for easy labor, though, at the very least. The sea beckoned, and the clam night sky promised an easy sailing, for sharp goblin eyes. It was best to go under cover of night, sheerly for the fact that the goblin patrols would be lazy without the marshal around anymore. It might make a few moments, and a world, of difference when they got into Kregus.

Kelovath stayed put as Dyzz made her rounds of the ship. He noticed Leena and returned her greeting of a simple nod with one of his own. His amber gaze shifted from person to person, never staying on a single one for too long. He continued his silent prayers, casting a protective aura around 'most' of the large ship. He hadn't a clue as to what they might find out on the sea, but one could never be too weary. Hopefully soon, this trip would begin and they would be on their way.

Azakeal continues to munch on that apple. that is, until his gaze travels upwards to the crows nest. A grin splits his lips as he leaps onto the rail, darts to the rigging, and makes a quick climb to the ropes peak. He would stop there, an arm hooking in knots and his body swinging out to take in the open ocean. The look on his face is one that someone might imagine a child at Christmas time having. From here he could see for miles around the ship, "I gotcher lookout cap'n!"

Nowfaleena stepped away from the mast at Dyzz's challenge to the goblins. There was no way she wanted caught up in that game. When the troblin said she was glad to have the caracal along, she blinked. She wasn't sure why, but that made her feel happy. A genuine smile slipped across her maw as she gave a nod to the captain, "Alright, Dyzz." That was as close as the troblin would get to a thank you. Bright greens made for peering through darkness did just that, cutting the night and allowing the feline to see into the distance. She turned those reflective eyes to the rigging where Az clung, "Keep sharp watch, fox!" She called with a smirk.

Dyzz set sail, and a relatively simple sail it was. The troll and muju tribe entertained eachother for the most part, taking care of the two biggest headaches. Seriously, they were her greatest logistical threat to this mission. The sheer brutality of their annoyance. Heh. Anyway. It was a smooth sail on open sea's, and marvelous one at that, for those eyes that glowed in the starlight. Once they arrived in Kregus, Dyzz took it all in. Ships. Goblin navy. Hardly manned, threadbare, as most of the soldiers had been recalled to serve their various 'tribes'... namely the warlords those tribes had pledged themselves too, in self preservation, or power lust. Dyzz hoped for little resistance. What goblins where here were her starting point, and she wanted them all alive if possible. She relayed this desire to all aboard the ship, that they would avoid combat if at all possible. It was unfortunate that it wasn't, as the ships turned to intercept her, and would do so before she could alight on the docks. Grease had done his job, though, prepping the city, and they watched with baited breath from the sidelines, held back by the soldiers, as the navy intercepted the ship full of goods. Who's leadership were they under? Would they dare try to seize this cargo? Would they burn it to the ground, as they had so many others, in shows of brutality? The ships surrounded Dyzz's own vessel, and planks fell, goblins marching on deck in armor and armed. Brahms and the twins met them next to Dyzz, along with any of her allies bold enough to stand by her for these negotiations. The obvious leader, wearing blood splashed armor, cracked his neck, and stared at the profile of the famed 'blue witch'. "You's the one, is you? The docks are closed to all." Dyzz took his measure, and found him ambitious. Violent. Stupid. Exactly what she didn't need here, and exactly what served for leadership among goblins these days. "The docks will open. The people need these goods, and Dyzz will deliver. If's you resist, you will die. You may surrender now, and be spared you's lives." The goblins around him shuddered at her words, at the fierceness in her eyes, and at the fierceness of the company she kept. Her reputation had grown ten times over when the marshal Provik died, and the goblin leader smiled. "Thought's you'd be bigger." His goblins around him were obviously an elite retinue, but it was worth nothing the other ship hadn't boarded them with him. His scowl was fierce, and his soldiers too, but they were all foolish. Dyzz held a hand aloft in the air, raising it ever so slowly, an obvious call to ready for action. As the muju tribe readied their ragtag weaponry, the intruding goblin navy members pulled back a bit, then growled. The leader said, "You don't scare me. You will die, and Grumph will make me powerful." Then, Dyzz's arm came down, and battle was joined, her axe whipping out to clash with his own weapon, and her falling back immediately to see to cast a spell to get them to the docks as the citizens started rushing the helpless soldiers blocking their way. The bloodshed would be immense if she didn't hurry, and get the ship to the docks. "Keep the navy at bay, men! Muju, to arms! Brahms, to Dyzz! Protect Dyzz, Dyzzget us there!" Blood would fall. Archers fired arrows, weapons of all sorts rang on steel, stone, leather, wood and flesh. Battle began.

Jallhie took one moment to calm down and crack his knuckles. he then placed his fedora on the ground. his tusks then sliced open part of his arm, and before the wounds could close he smeared the blood across his massive chest tattoo and he grew in size, hi eyes glowing and his skin becoming a brighter red than usual. jallhie then roared and picked up the hammer that he could normally barley take off the ground, so jallhie picked the big ship and charged, his massive leg muscles working as he jumped the gap between ships. he then murmured something in his native toungue and his hammer glowed red, he then began to massacre the archers on the ship, though he did take arrows very close to vitals, yet he still took an arrow to the knee. he roared. "for my father da chief!"

Kelovath actually enjoyed the trip to Kregus. The sea was calm and although the goblins were loud and quite annoying, the trip wasn't all too bad. He stayed close to Dyzz most of the time and the short conversations he had with the other goblins was enough to pass the time. And before he knew it, there was another ship in sight, as well as the docks coming in close-ish. He waited patiently as the other ship boarded the one with supplies. Casually, the paladin made his way closer to Dyzz and the soon to be attackers. Only a few words into the conversation and Kelovath could tell trouble would soon be starting. Just as Dyzz and the enemy leader clashed weapons, Kelo's sword was out and quickly eliminated an unsuspecting goblin. His sword was at the ready, even as the dead goblin fell off the boat and into the water below. The completely armored paladin took a few steps back and quickly assessed the situation. Keeping an eye on Dyzz, of course, but it seemed she didn't need -too- much help. For now, Kelovath made his way back towards the masthead, defending those who need it along the way. For the moment, that would be exactly how Kelo would approach the entire battle. Slicing down any enemy who came near and making sure the boat continued in the right direction.

Azakeal watched from on high, his bird's eye vantage giving him scope and perspective refused to the others. The goblins were narrowed onto the boarding planks, a key weak point. But he could feel Dyzz want few casualties. With a grunt, the male pushes off of the rigging, his hand reaching out, shadow claws ringing to life and digging into wood to slow his descent lest he put a hole in this shiny new boat. Ten feet between boots and ground has the vulpine gripping tight, stopping himself so that he can place boots on the center mast and push off once more, launching himself into a backflip... And into the fray. His sword was drawn mid flight, placed mid level, and brought down upon un unsuspecting goblin's helmet, knocking him unconscious. His left hand is lifted, a concentrated explosion of kinetic energy released at a group of three, sending them flailing, armor and all, into the water. A flash of that same hand had a kinetic barrier erected along the boarding side of the ship, keeping any reinforcements from entering their small battle. Cam eyes twist about to find Dyzz, Nowfaleena, Jallhie, and Kelovath and check that they were at least still breathing, His mouth opens, a Great Roar building in his throat.

Nowfaleena was determined to be more usuful this time then sha had be previously. She withdrew a dagger from her boot, sending it hurtling towards the nearest goblin, aimed with deadly accuracy fo his left eye. Her fighting skills worked best from a distance, so she was constantly dancing about the ship, trying to keep as much space between herself and the goblin hoarde as possible. She took her crossbow from where ever it was she'd been hiding it, loaded a bolt, and let it launch toward the goblin troops leader. With felid grace and speed, she hurried around, cutting through the darkness until she was behind one of the goblin warriors. She hadn't even waited to see if her bolt had struck true before she drew another dagger and slit an unfortunate goblin's throat. Arrows rained down on the ship, and it was difficult to avoid them. Her dragon-scale courset fended off some of the shafts, but it didn't stop an arrow from burrying into her upper arm. With an angered yowl the caracal found she now had a fairly useless arm on that side.

Dyzz recited her incantation, one that would drop darkness all around. Such a curse was easily within her capabilities, and the magical darkness would even stifle goblin vision. Those goblins that fell into the water were doomed, goblins were very heavy or scrawny, and could not generally swim, or float. The darkness allowed her to get to the helm, and steer toward the docks in the confusion, activating hidden runes on the ship to slowly "push" it past the other ships, a great weapon for getting that short distance needed in a tight spot. The boarding planks screeched and snapped in protest, leaving the goblins stranded... and Jallhie on the other boat. Once they reached the docks, they were out of range of the darkness, and Dyzz hefted Gae Bolg, and threw it, spearing the goblin leader in the middle of all his protection. That was heavily demoralizing, and it shouldn't take much after that to stop them. The citizens on shore had made it past the line of soldiers, who had gotten out of the way, or been removed. Dyzz screamed for the sailors and tribe to drop the planks and start unloading immediately, and they scrambled to obey. The looks in the citizens eye's told the tale of her heroism better than any bard could ever portray it... the hope, the wonder, the desperate relief. Dyzz stood high, light shining like a beacon when she swept out her hair, the glowing blue seashell's illuminating her in the dark caverns, brightly, a mellow tone, but bright in the goblin eyes. She looked like a savior, glowing and holy.

Jallhie was not as lucky as he could of been, he had overestimated his power by jumping onto the enemy vessel. he was a living pincusion now, arrows where buried deep into his flesh as he wailed and ran around the deck writhing in pain. before dyzz casted the darkness goblins had begun to weight jallhie down with ropes and nets. he could of got out until a small goblin armed with two knives, must of been low ranking, jumped onto jallhies neck and stabbed a knife into each eye, with this advantage the goblin used the handles as if reins steering him around. sadly dyzz had casted the darkness and the goblin had lost sight. they both fell into the water. jallhie moaning in pain was able to add a little bit of swimming as he went towards the docks, if he had any luck he would get washed up and survive, that was his last thought as he blacked out. he did wash up on shore indeed he did. but his massive wounds where large even for a troll. chances are his eyes would never heal properly. he lay there. indeed it was foolish to attack that many goblins all at once in close quarters. he would most likely never make that mistake again, dead or alive.

Azakeal used the pommel of his sword to knock another unconscious before looking to Dyzz in all her glowiness. His sword is raised and in attempt to stop the fighting he lets loose that roar, "Hail! Dyzz!" His voice was a force all its own, rippling through the air, imbued with his own energies. He randomly smacks a still rambunxious (sp) in the back of the head without even looking at him. No... All eyes would be on the savior of Kreegus.

Kelovath continued to protect himself and others, when it was needed. He preferred not to fight at all, but that wasn't how goblin's worked. Fighting had to be done. But, it seemed the others were more than willing to do that for him. The few goblins that made their way to Kelo were somewhat easily dispatched. There was one who happened to get a nice cut into the weak point of his armor and into his leg. For now, it meant little, since the cargo ship was now exactly where it needed to be. The paladin made his way back toward Dyzz and this time, standing only a few feet behind the Troblin, he stood tall. Her glowing seashell's actually reflected quite nicely off of his bloody armor. So much so, she did, in fact, appear to be of holy being. Apparently, his armor was good more many things. Being shiny was added to that list. "Success, my friends." The words were spoken after the battle concluded and were meant for all on board of the ship. Lives were lost, but all for the greater good. Soon, the real battle would begin. Politics. Such a dreadful thing. But needed, regardless of any cities situation. With a dip of his head, a silent prayer was said to those who lost their life. Kelovath killed, but he is one to show mercy and does so often. Those lost would be found by the Gods who are seeking. "Well done, Dyzz." The words spoken right after the prayer and obviously directed to the Troblin.

Dyzz looked behind her at Kelovath, making his stance well known. it would make things difficult later, surely, but it had it's benefits too. For now, though, she was mostly just glad for his presence behind her. For the presence of her tribe, and Nowfaleena, and Azakeal... and even jallhie, who she soon noticed and motioned to her crewmen to go drag him to a nearby infirmary... if they could find it. She stood tall, and prepared to give her speech. "Proud Goblins, my kinfolk, citizens of Kregus! Dyzz brings to you food, and clothes. Too long have Goblin's suffered under the thumbs of all the other races. We thought to rise, and take the world for our own, and where defeated, humiliated. Now, we suffer under our own. Starved, by our own leaders! Is this what we are meant to be?!" What an oddly good oration. The spirits where strong in her, and her eyes glowed white, drowning her ruby pupils. "No longer will we suffer! We will fight, as we always have. We will take back our home, we will stand united! We will show the world that we are Goblins, and that we ARE! We are strong, we are proud, and we are FREE!" There was much cheering, and even crying at the tear jerking situation. Wasn't often goblin's had speeches, in fact it was a very rare thing in goblin history. The blue witch had revealed herself, and rather than being immediately reviled for her soft skinned appearance, she seemed to be hailed for her beauty, mystique, and the great things she had done. Heroes and legends were being born this day.
