Summary: There is an intruder in Brennia's castle

Brennia's Château

After finding your way through the Topiary Garden it would only be fitting to come upon a building which looks like a section taken right out of any castle in the same style as all of Schezerade, in all it's decadence; marble forming the entirety of the large home accented with gold and platinum in which you'll have to cross over a glass bridge in order to reach it. The front door is welcoming for all shapes and sizes that are the citizens of Hollow and spans a great distance in it's solid French Door of a design. Opening it up one might be perplexed at the ability for the home to hold such music coming from the main room there, provided the owner of the home is present. Once immersed, the eyes might be stolen by the gaping cathedral ceilings above, spotted by gold and platinum in which encircle mini glowing stones to mimic the night sky, but beauty is not what the ceiling is for; it carries one's voice in the ear most pleasing fashion. The walls of the room have shelves carved into the marble upon nearly every wall of this vast oval-shaped room, but the walls are shelves, carved into small squares. Each square hold scrolls to nearly any song someone might wish to hear and it should be clear now that a bard lives here; explains the marvelous white-wood, gold-accented, concert grand piano in the middle of this large room.

Nearing further into the tiny castle one's nostrils might pick up on the scent of mouth watering food being cooked wafting from the kitchen which is north of the main room and it also holds a small, but elegant dining area. In the corner of this kitchen there is a winding staircase which travels below and is illuminated as if gold is to be kept down there. If you wish to stay and listen to the bard or wait for her to emerge there are luxurious sofas strewn about with the softest throw blankets and plushy cushions, but be careful; an unsettling feeling may overcome you as your eyes spot a locked door, which houses a staircase to take you up, with an outreaching design in onyx stone overlay which seemingly inking over into the pristine luxury you’ve found yourself in. It's as if the area beyond holds a darkness that's attempting to leak out into this little slice of heaven… Better just leave that door alone.

A white concert grand piano is here.

Zachaël, wearing a chef's hat is here.

Valen :: Music would be heard coming from that most grand room that almost looked like a cathedral. If she were too look, she would see that Valen had conjured shadows onto one section of wall and was seemingly doing something akin to tuning them with various string sounds...and even some that sound like harshly played cello's and violin's (Guitars, obviously). Once a steady rhythm began going, he would move to the center where a larger mass would break off from the wall shadows and follow to rest right at his feet. From those dark depths would rise a humanoid visage, covered from head to toe in black and as Valen began to sing...it would start to take shape. His voice would ring loud and clear throughout the hall, unaware if anyone was listening as he was focused purely on his work. "You were my first love, the earth moving under me. Bedroom Scent, beauty ardent. Distant Shiver, heaven scent. I'm the darkness from your lips, the evil taste, the silvery sip. I'm the breath on your hair. Your endless smile, the devil's lair." As those verses were spoken the shape it took now was the one on Valen's mind, an avian male by the looks of it though this replica was far from perfect. It still would serve the purpose he needed it for, at least the face looked spot on even if the hair was a bit messy. The figure still looked pitch black, wisps of shadow smoking upward in just a few random locations though the face was certainly something to look at. The face itself, was a lighter shade than the rest. It's eyes were closed for now, though the 'skin' was a grayish color rather than a shadow-black. There were however, dark lines that ran from behind the head, under the hair, to the sides, almost as if blackened veins were travelling along his cheeks and forehead though they never met one another. "Only so many times, I can say I long for you. The lily among the thorns, you prey among the wolves. When apart my heart does ache, immeasurable pain, cant stay awake." A red mist would go from his eyes now to his hand, tiny visions almost seen in the fog as he goes to touch the temples of his creation's head. "With time all pain will fade, through your memory I will wade!" At the touch, almost instantly, it's eyes would flare open as perhaps a very rough yet solid toned voice would ring out as if in response, keeping time with the song. "Barely cold, in your grave! Barely warm in my bed! Settling for a draw tonight!" It's hands would shoot out and grab Valen by his hair and force him to the ground, though the look on his face at this point seems to be shock mixed with the slightest pleasure as if enjoying being forced like this. "Puppet boy, your strings are mine!" and just like that, Valen would be up on his feet, having smacked the hand off of his hair and was now inches away from the other's face repeating that last line. A few glancing blows, attacks from one, defiance from another, would be traded before the music would get slower once more. They were close now, this hellish looking being snaking it's lips and nose up Valen's neck...drawing a shuddering gasp from the male Vampire as it would start nipping at the flesh on its way up the neck. While this was going on, Valen would start to sing in a soft but shuddering breath "This one is for you. For you, only for you. Just give in to me, never think again I feel for you!" Again, he would repeat it as the shadow was behind him now, hands roaming across his chest in a sort of rough fashion through the clothes as if with a ravenous hunger. Valen would spread his arms out, the being would do the same and take his hands in it's, they would strike a pose, and as the verse is repeated twice it would almost be only described as some hellish ballroom dance full of Valen being twirled, quick steps from both, until by the last they were in the air now. As the song's music comes to an end, their lips would meet and tears would be streaming down the Immortal's face though in a strange way it would seem from happiness, before the being vanished...leaving behind a very, very, saddened Vampire.

The Favored Wing

Oh, you have a key? Congratulations! You will find that although this hall way is the opposite of the warmth you just left, it isn't lacking in the same opulence. While making your way through the candle lit corridor you see numerous doors with different insignia on each of them; a dragon, a snake, a skull, a chef's hat and one left blank. Rest assured that each of the rooms are finely tailored to each of her pets' needs along with their own wash rooms. Finally reaching the large room at the end, it is conjoined by it's own luxurious powder room and the scheme is dark from the onyx stone, accented with gold. The entire atmosphere offers a warm seduction to the senses, but are you friendly enough to await the Avain in her large downy bed colored in the deepest red blankets and view blocking canopy? If not, there are sofas by the wet bar which holds an odd number of bloods from different races, Avian wine, black-fire wine, and specially crafted whisky. Through the circular stained glass door, which depicts a rather gruesome scene,  you might find yourself in a certain island paradise on this vast balcony; warm bottomless sand, a few palm trees and a second wet bar which holds expertly crafted scotch, strawberry wine, Avian champagne and orange juice. If you lounge on one of the hammocks out there, relax and have a drink, you will find it does really feel like an island with the sun so bright and the seemingly endless view of blue.

Brennia had recently been ejected from her and Daermon's dream vacation by the shadow being called Barnabus. She doesn't understand what went wrong and all she knows is that she feels so alone anymore without him, that vampire was her other half as they were the same in so many ways. The days seem shorter and the nights never end, but she only sulks in private from now on as she has had enough of people trying to hold her hand and wipe her tears. The past few nights she spent alone she has felt the familiar tug to the book in which her Inky power is locked away and even though she understands the ramifications of letting that unpredictable power out… At least she wouldn't be alone anymore. The unique thing about her castle is that there has been enchantments in place that whichever room you are in it's blocked from the others for sounds and smells, so the entire time she is in her room - sulking - she hears not the beautiful music. The only indication of time of day she gets is through the crack of her balcony door and she can hear her stomach growling over the pounding in her head from the hangover. "Mmm…" She groans through plump shapely lips before slowly raising her shell of a body off her bed. She stands her natural 6'2" height with a stretch and another groan before feeling her way down the dark corridor… er, rather, holding herself up by the wall. During this time her chef was unaware of the vampire he's been sort of rooming with - Zachael being another stunning Avian from the Island of Vere. Zachael was just about to come out of the kitchen/dining area, which blocks the smell of a wonderfully seasoned dinner from wafting into the music room. He catches sight of the intruder and turns on his heel to cower back into the kitchen without making a sound. Only when Brennia reaches the door way, she can hear the music and for quite a while she doesn't intrude… It's haunting and beautiful and she's too drunk/hungover to deal with this right now. She decides to get over herself by saying to no one, "Stop being some pansy ass bitch… You need wine… From the stupid cellar." She sighs and waves her hand at the creepy onyx door and it replies by opening like the shudder of a camera lens. She witnesses the end of the song with what looks like Edlin in the middle of her castle and for a hungover minute she is frozen in fear before her instincts kick in. Long swift steps span across one side of the room to leap over her sofa and land next to a large leather bound book with an interesting pattern etched into the design all the while her large oceanic blue eyes never leave the apparition. Obsidian Sai daggers are slipped from the holster/sheath hidden at the base of her wings after she flips the book open and the air started to swirl with a darkness. The strands of what seem like the darkest shadows hold heavy in the air and somehow 'feel' like a living entity as it bursts about the room in the blink of an eye before finding their home on her caramel complexioned skin playing out the uniquely intricate tattoo. Something unnatural washes over the room as the effects take over and starts to swirl with darkness over her eyes, her massive onyx wings seem to emulate stone, her teeth appear sharper, the tattoo slither and writhe about her skin like a snake, and there is a menacing whisper in the air between them. She leaps on the coffee table between them and sends one of her daggers slicing through the air dead center of the apparition of Edlin, but this didn't stop her as Inky/Brennia now sets her unsettling glare to Valen and in another graceful leap she was directly in front of the stranger with the point of her other dagger gently pressed to the man's neck while asking in a threat filled tone, "Who are you and what do you want from me?"

Valen would not have much time to react, let alone comprehend what was happening except for the fact that he had seemed to disturb at least one inhabitant of the castle in which he now, at least this moment, took space in. The copy of Edlin would flicker before disappearing, the cause of such an occurrence now identified, as he turned sadly to the female Avian before him. Her gracefulness was not lost upon his gaze, as indeed she was certainly graceful, though that melancholy quality still hung in his eyes as he answered completely and honestly "I...I am Valen, my Lady. I did not mean to intrude, I thought this castle abandoned." The words seemed true enough, though whether the female believed him was a different matter. standing squarely now, he would regard her up and down, taking in every curve and every crevice as if committing her to memory, which is what he was actually trying to do right now. "If I imposed upon you I truly apologize. I...I was simply trying to spend some time in happiness, in what seemed to be a secluded place, with my thoughts and myself." Fear shone in his eyes, as he knew that this was a creature to not be trifled with, nor did he want to! "If it pleases you, my lady, I will leave and never come back. Though..." He would sniff the air with a curious gaze, before his piercing blue eyes settled onto Brennia's. "I sense...perhaps, that things might be the same...? Forgive me for being forward but what I mean is that perhaps you and I are not so different in the respect that we want what we desire, and would stop at nothing to obtain it...? though..." Another sniff would have the male looking on rather hungrily. "It would seem we are not alone..."

Brennia retracted her dagger from his throat, gave it a few twirls around her finger before a 'ssssh-ing' rang out to prove she put the weapon away. She took a deep breath while backing away slowly and blinking once. The tattoo pattern flattens on her skin, her hair stops swirling about like snakes and falls like the blackest and silkiest waterfall down her curvy frame. The velvety wings soften back to the onyx shade to reflect bits of navy blues & forest greens and that familiar favorite scent is granted now to the vampire as her eyes open once more to reveal the deep blue hues behind dark long lashes. "Who was that I saw and how do you know of such a man?" Her tone wasn't threatening, but was dire in it's silky alto seduction and her perfect pearly whites are back as they clench together causing her soft jawline to tense. She felt Zachael's presence once more as he was checking on the situation, but her fingers snapped at him and pointed for him to retreat back into the kitchen in a protective manner. Both of her hands set into the curve of her waist and pointed black fingernails dig while pressing softly into some of the exposed supple skin her blue wrapped blouse shows off. Upon closer inspection of her natural form it would seem this tattoo pattern covers every inch of her skin and it must have taken ages to complete, she had to have been quite young to even begin such an art. She replies darkly to this stranger's questions, "I will be asking the questions for now, Valen." The way she said 'Valen' was so taboo, but like a lullaby at the same time.

Valen would regard the woman more carefully now, taking note of all the things that seemed to return to normal with a curious gaze. He was certainly glad that the blade from his throat had been removed, and as such gave off an audible swallow, as if to test for himself whether it had been truly removed or not. Her question had him silent, just in case she had any reservations about such a relationship though her demeanor suggest that it be something else that bothered her. In response, he would offer "Just. A poor copy of an Avian male I have met recently. He...He is charming, fair, and oh so caring!" It would be said with excitement, as if his dead heart could barely contain such a feeling. "He..." A pause for a moment, looking away, before he looked her in the eyes and said very plain but also full of conviction "He was supposed to be someone I care about, above all others. My lady. He...He makes me...feel. I do not mean in the sense that he gives me the ability to hear, taste, or touch...Though put any of those in combination with anything he does and my spirit seems to soar, it is simply an attraction. I suppose one may call it love? He joked about it of course.." That last bit would be said with a half-hearted laugh. "And perhaps I did not then, but now? My mind is plagued with thoughts of him. I had thought by making a simple copy of him for a brief moment would alleviate the feelings I have for him and yet they only seem to compound them further!" A curse would be uttered under his breath, eyes glancing away from his audience. "I must seem pitiful to you..." It was apparent that it was what he felt, though once more his eyes would make contact with Brennia's own, the way she said his name certainly drawing a shiver down his spine. "If you have any more questions, malady, please ask. It is the least I can do for intruding upon your most magnificent abode."

Brennia started to wonder why she kept running into people who falls in love with such a cold-hearted bastard. She turns away and calls out something in her native tongue (French sounding) as she addresses Zachael and although it's nothing Valen would understand it would certainly be something that caught his attention as the beautiful language sounded so alluring and seductive. When Zachael appears a respectful bow was given to Valen before he replied to Brennia in that sexual language which he takes the order and goes to fetch them some wine. Brennia sighs and crosses her arms under her ample bosom, "Merry meet, Valen… I am pleased to make your acquaintance." She reserves introducing herself until she learns more of this stranger and knows he can be trusted as she offers a quick curtsy after turning back to him, "So… What name has he given himself this time? Is he back to being Edlin or… What was it… Irenic." She rolls her eyes and her gut told her to warn the poor vampire to run as fast as he can from him, but she knew how it was to wear those rose colored glasses and only see the good in someone, or even seeing the good that isn't there because yourself put it there. Her bare feet saunter her way to the seating area of the main room and her arms un-cross to take the silver serving tray full of wines and cheeses from her chef to set them on the coffee table to she may take a seat, "Have a seat if you will… Those with musical inclination are always welcome in my castle." Her hands motion to either the sofa across from her own or the luxurious armchairs to the side while she pours them some Zinfandel wine.

Valen would raise an eyebrow at the different sounding language though could not help be drawn to the allure of how it was pronounced nor also how it sounded. To him, it sounded almost like what he envisioned love itself to sound like. The idea that she knew who the male that drew his attention, though he certainly knew who -she- was, had him tingeing just ever so slightly out of fear on his cheeks. "I...honestly cannot say, madam. Though Edlin does sound more apropos, as that is how he is certainly acting now." He would certainly not tell her, unless under extreme duress, that he was the cause of him realizing that name. That familiar greet that Edlin himself had used would only cause his curiosity to fester, as well as take a seat opposite of the Avian female. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance as well Malady, though I again must stress that I had no idea that anyone inhabited this glorious castle." Taking note of her bare feet, he would idly wonder if perhaps her feet get cold but decided against asking such a trivial question. At the mention of musical inclination, his eyes would light up with a passion only rivaled by the look in his eyes while dancing with that shadow replica. "I absolutely adore music. If you find the right song, you can identify with anyone's soul. Music is the voice that we wish we had for ourselves. those that are lucky enough to be able to express themselves are few, and that is why occasionally I will listen to those that have...requests, and try to match what I know about them to put into music." Valen had never told anyone about such activities, but to be fair, never also had he intruded on one's home so he felt that the more he bore of himself the safer he would be. Looking at Zachael, a narrowed glance would have been given before he went away to fetch the wine, though the gaze given would certainly be not one of judgement...just deep thought. It would be evident to the Avian, that this male had not fed in such a long time though he would appear in good spirits.

Brennia listened quietly while pushing some silky black strands behind a long pointed ear. After a long moment and his glance to her chef she didn’t need to be a vampire to understand his hunger as the one she used to be bonded to was a vampire and she knew the signs all too well. "I am actually surprised Edlin would let you so close as you are a vampire… He has always hated vampires… Just ask my dead and tortured maids back home." She got quiet and averted her gaze, 'damn it… I wasn't going to do that. Bad Brennia!' she thought to herself and blames Inky on the snarky parts. She removes the Sai dagger once more only for a moment to cut along her vein on her wrist above the goblet of wine intended for her guest. "I do apologize, maybe this will hold you over." She also knows from the few vampire lovers she has had that the taste of Avain blood was much preferred among their kind as it was sweeter and somehow powerful at the same time. She let her rich blood empty into the glass for a moment before humming a simple tune to heal the wound, just like that it was as if she never opened an part of her body, though there was a hint of a scar. Come to think of it there are whispers of scars littered about her body under the tattoo… She is either a champion fighter or an even better lover, only questions will come to tell the answer. She hands Valen a glass as she takes her own and relaxes back on her wings, "And the thing about music is… For bards anyway, the song doesn’t necessarily have to relate to the soul, I've mended souls for short periods of time, I've made them feel things that they haven't felt in eons… I have even -shattered- souls…" Her voice always so silky and every inch about her, wings included, seemed to seduce the senses, but there is something about her that keeps an unsettling feeling in the back of your mind. Her tone thickens further with suggestion as she adds a bit quieter, "I've even gotten women to the top of 'the mountain' by hitting the right frequency with a note." She winks before sipping her wine… Okay more than a sip…. This is a realllly long sip - and it's gone. She fills her glass back up - sorry for her drunkenness.

Valen would drink the offered glass greedily. It was certainly much longer than he had meant to be before feeding, though he had honestly hoped that his first taste of Avian blood would have been Edlin. Either way, he was grateful though it would not be until the glass was entirely drained that he would gasp out a "thank you". At her words though about the male Avian, a raised eyebrow would be given before saying "Well perhaps he wishes to save me for some nefarious purpose? Either way, he has not mentioned you though, that could be because I did not release those memories of him." A faint, but deliberate wink, would be given. "Though I doubt I would ever do such a thing to one I care about, or such a radiant woman." In his head he was wondering just where this feeling was coming from? Perhaps it was the blood, though he did not care. the fact of the matter was that she was being a grateful host and he was simply a guest and all he could do was be charming and appreciative. A raised eyebrow would be offered at the apparent 'song of healing' though the questions in his head would remain there for another time. At the mention of songs not having to relate to the soul, he had to disagree though would continue to listen, and keep his reservations to himself until she was finished. The mention of women and what she had gotten them to do, brought a daring question to his lips. "And what about men...? What peak have you gotten them to?" Immediately the question was regretted as he did not wish to betray the feelings he felt for that impossible man, but at the same time he felt like this woman was a kindred spirit. "Show me."

Brennia quirks a well shaped brow at the mention of 'releasing memories' and a soft smirk spreads on her lips, "Oh? 'You' did not 'release' those memories?" She sips from her wine goblet, "Care to share with me what that means?" Brennia doesn't blush or shy away from the harmless flirting, even if it were intentional she was used to such advances and used all the tricks in her own bag as well. She stands and rather crassly responds, "Men are not as intricately outlaid as women… There is a creativity needed to be used with every different one… It's more of a challenge, more of a puzzle to solve… Which I do, solve." Her smirk was confident without being arrogant, "I usually have the men work and get me up the mountain." With a simple shrug she started her saunter on over to her lovely concert style piano and she opens the hatch before caressing over the wood as if it was a long lost lover. "Ah… Yes the songs don't necessarily need to relate to anything a soul pines for, but it helps." She would turn her blue hues to the vampire, "It's to get someone engaged in your gaze." Her saunter nears back around the pianists bench and pulls it out for her to set her ample bottom on, "And then get them addicted to your story." Her fingertips hover over select ivory and black keys while sifting through her mental library of notes and melodies, "Its being able to take your brush… And paint the picture for all to see with the blood of your soul." The melody of the piano rings out at the same time of the lyrics painting the feeling you get when your heart shatters into something that feels liquid. Even if Valen never had the unfortunate task of being completely broken by someone he would surely feel it now with that sinking feeling in the bit of one's stomach, the feeling like you can't catch your breath, the way the mind buzzes with so many questions of what went wrong, and how you can feel hungry, but at the same time wanting to throw up. The soul easily soaked up like a sponge to water and taken on the roller coaster of all of the crescendos and decrescendos, the sweet high notes and warm low ones. Maybe a sappy sad song was an easy choice, but this wasn't the point for now for she wasn't done even though this song came to an end, "Do you feel it?" During her drunken days she actually used to occupy The Hanging Corpse to practice this craft seeing as vampires are heartless and demonic in their nature giving her a challenge to get them intrigued in the first place.

Valen's eyes would widen as Brennia asked her question about what he meant, though shook his head apologetically. "Honestly, I feel it best that particular subject remain silent. I feel it would be best, for both of you, that way...and even best for myself. Perhaps one day you might find out, or perhaps I might tell you eventually, but not until I can know for certain that no harm would come to anyone." His voice was stoic, and his gaze spoke volumes in the fact that through it one could tell that he was done with that particular line of questions even though she, mere moments before, had said -she- would be the one asking the questions. Either the Vampire was very brave, or very foolish, and he could not help but wonder how often those two clashed together. Honestly, as she explained how she solves those intricate puzzles, an amused but lighthearted smirk would come to him. "And...you think that you can solve mine...?" But oh, Valen would be making notes in his head as she started to explain what it was all about for her. Thing's like that could prove so valuable in the future though they also seemed so very complicated. How could anyone truly be interested, or even invested, in his story? What even -was- his story? Yes there was his background, but somehow he felt that the word 'story' must mean something much deeper still. As he listens to the music once she starts playing, his own memories of past experiences would slowly creep into his thoughts. This music was certainly not his style but he could not help be drawn, body and soul for the most part, into the lyrics and sound. He had those exact feelings before, still suffered from them on occasion at the thought of what would happen if he just...let it all go. Underneath, the Vampire was crumbling...had been for some time. The only problem at this very moment, was a single tear running down Valen's cheek, as he sat there, motionless. Emotion void on his face, almost as if staring just for the sake of it. With a blink a few minutes later after her question, a simple nod would be given. "I...do. I still do." What else was there to say but just that?

Brennia cracked her knuckles as her posture became further more perfect at the piano and she pushes her hair behind her, "Now… Lets try something else… As a bard there are many talents we dabble in and my own training given the edge I need for it… Lets - act, shall we?" Brennia offered such a warm and brilliant smile which showed off nearly every perfect pearly white tooth and poked adorable dimples into her cheeks. Such a sight was rare and one might even forget the darker - scarier side of her entirely at such a stone heart melting smile being beamed at the vampire. The up beat tune takes over from her nimble fingers dancing gracefully over the keys as there appears to be a light shining through into her castle, filling it, even though it was in the dead of night. This song wasn't focused on how gentle and sweet every note could be sung like the previous one and again the magic of the bard's voice would caress out and nestle into all of the cracks and holes of one's soul to fill it with optimism and light - if only for a moment. This new song is meant to uplift and empower with talk of building yourself back up from a fall no matter how many you may have you must convict on your journey and it's belted notes proving something powerful within oneself. The contrast to the songs and given who they are coming from should be astounding as the song even begins to paint a picture of other beings draped in the finest clothes start to dance about the piano - only if the listener lets the song truly in their heart, but the fact would remain it would make them happier than the last song.

Valen looked up for a moment as Brennia spoke, the feeling in his heart grateful for what sounded to be a change of pace coming. As she flashed him that adorable smile, it alone seemed to remove most of the feelings that had been lurking. The unpleasant ones now replaced by happier thoughts, he eagerly awaited her next piece. So it was as well that the Vampire indeed did mostly forget about how unnervingly horrific she appeared upon the beginning of this encounter for here she was, those dimples tugging at him. As the up beat tempo started, the Vampire was instantly transported into the scenery that this new one painted. It certainly was very impressive, nay...awe inspiring, to realize the talent that this fellow bard bird possessed and it honestly perhaps made him feel a bit jealous though that too was washed away as he heard the song's most golden message about not being too hard one ones self. After all, was it really so hard for him to go 'back to simplicity'? Such a feeling that washed over him now, for it was certainly visible that this song was making him think about re-doubling his efforts even though there seemed to be no real need as of yet, that he felt rejuvenated in his conviction of his feelings. No matter what, he -could- be happy again. As the song ended, the vision of the people having faded, Valen would stand and begin to applaud...genuine admiration rolling off of him just like the light that had seemed to brighten up the very room. Though what did she mean when she had made the comment about acting? Did she expect him to perform something of a different nature? Or was it perhaps to see how much of a challenge he could pose? So many questions though he was certain they would be answered in time. "I will admit, my Lady, that you certainly have a gift and a talent."

Brennia stood at the end of the song and offered a deep bow as her dark wings spanned out a little and even though the main room of her castle was large - doing just this shrunk it a little. When she stood and started for her wine he would notice her demeanor was back to how it was before the singing, very cold and reserved in a way - not off putting in the least, though. In such a quick change the vampire may have guessed her mention of acting came from her and that she could easily switch from any sort of personality she needed for the day, but not today as she could only hold such a cheery attitude for the length of the song, "Thank you Valen…" She grabbed a bottle of wine from the coffee table and made her way to the onyx door, "And here!" She called out as she turned to him and tossed a musical note shaped key his way, "I'll be in my chambers for the rest of the night, make yourself at home. There are currently many vacant rooms through this door..." She turned to the door which opened for her in it's unique fashion before she said over her shoulder, "And if you bring Edlin here I will kill him - memories or not." What she said sounded like it was supposed to be a threat, but the exhaustion in her voice showed she was just sick of running anymore… Although… The start of the swirling pattern upon her skin might make someone think twice on her dangerous abilities. "The names Brennia or Bre, by the way!" She added before the door swirled shut behind her.

Valen, yet again found himself very impressed with her wings just as he had been from the other two Avians he had met. True his own wings were nothing to laugh at, but he had to admit the real thing was certainly best. The sudden change back to her previous demeanor did little to assuage him of his newfound energy and vigor though he did feel sorry that it had simply been just a show. "You know..." he would begin, with a smile as he went into a rhyme. "It's a crime to the heavens, for even a while, to hide from the world such a beautiful smile." The mention of Edlin though would have him putting a hand over his heart as if making a sort of oath though he would most certainly be doing just that. "I can assure you, promise even, that he will not even hear your name." And as if timed perfectly, after he catches the key and directions given, there was her name. Either way, he would still hold his promise. A thought occurred to him, an almost devious plot, that if this woman was Edlin's ex-fiance, then she would perhaps know a way to get even closer? True it had been arranged, but the possibility was not lost on him that she may just be the edge he needed. That would wait, it had to wait, as he was not about to bother her further after she had most certainly showed him great kindness. "I will, make myself comfortable that is. And thank you for the hospitality. Merry meet Lady Brennia." He had to admit, the other Avian had certainly rubbed off on him in way of that greeting and had decided to use it himself this time.
