Xalious Village

This once small village hidden amongst the Xalious Mountains has grown over the years, as studious visitors come to study within the Mage Guild's public library, and also to visit the ancient Xalious Tree. Many of the young magelings have built homes here while learning at the Tower, and most chose to stay when their formal lessons are done. It has a thriving economy built upon this, and is well protected from roving dragons which frequent the Xalious Ranges by the Mage Tower. The houses which line the streets are all simple in construction, yet sturdily built with a caring touch. To the south is the town's well and beyond it the legendary Xalious Tree. To the west is a large inn which houses the town's frequent visitors. To the east is a rocky path back into the Xalious Ranges, and to the north, rising up to challenge the sky itself, is the infamous Mage Tower.

Ngirturong suddenly appears from at the edge of the village with a soft thumping sound to mark her presence. She jumped from Kelay to the Xalious area, using her natural speed and might to propel her across great distances. It was the morning hours, so not many people can be seen of the streets. This is what Ngirturong hoped for in finding Nasada, from what she's heard of the woman she's likely to be one of few roaming the street this early in the morning. The teen moves calmly throughout the village, keeping her eyes searching for those who enjoy to bliss of night like herself. "She got to be somewhere in this place." She says aloud. "Hopefully she not the stabby type."

Raevyn could easily be pinpointed by the sound of the discussion she was having not too far from the Mage Tower. She stood, garbed in her usual attire, aside from the heavier shirt that replaced the more formal gothic one. It was cold this morning. “I see. So then, how did you die?” The man in which she spoke to was a rather large fellow, nearly a foot and a half taller than she was. He was lightly armored, with a long, black scale mail duster draped over top. His face gave away the telltale sign of his undeath, being quite similar to that of a decayed corpse; Sunken milky white eyes, a missing nose, and void of lips, leaving yellowed teeth exposed. “I don’t rightly recall. It was a long time ago.” Raevyn looked confused. “You don’t recall probably the most important and final point in your life?” To which the undead man replied, “Nope. What the hell is it with you anyway? Why’s it so important?” The slender shoulders of the woman shrugged. “Just asking.” Those milky eyes would be the first to settle on Ngirturong, the necromancer’s guardian sizing up the newcomer quite carefully to assess if she were any sort of threat.

Ngirturong wears a mix up of items that she finds useful. A fishnet suit sit beneath a vest made from the prek race. It has many pocket that the teen has stuff items in, as well as inner slot wear she was able to place her hand made clay plates that offer some protection. her legs are covered down to the knee with a loose fitting skirt to allow the teen movement. Her boots and hand wear are studded with spikes that are dulled to become nothing more that design. She keeps her cloak closed for the most part with her hood upon her head. her face can easily seen as she's not trying to hide. The teen does in fact notice Raevyn, she could very well be the woman's she looking for. Without hesitation, Ngirturong make her way to the woman. "Morning. "She greets the two. "Maybe you can aid me. I'm looking for someone. A woman..."

The undead speaks first. “Ain’t no women here. Just some ugly guy that likes women’s clothing, and myself.” This comment earned him a sharp stare that spoke of wanting to stab the larger male to death. “Baelok!” she first exclaimed, soon addressing the younger woman next. “Don’t mind him, he is a sourpuss. I have not seen too many about this morning, but do you have any information that might help us assist you? Like a description, or a name, perhaps?” A polite smile filled out those blackened lips.

Ngirturong lifts her brow to the male with a small shake of her head as she turns to the woman. "She's a necromancer. " The teen begins as she lowers her hood. "She was involved in an incident that resulted in a young boy being beaten be an angry mob. I heard the woman, goes by the name Nasada."

Raevyn’s eyes widen and she sucks her lip inward, holding it with her teeth. Baelok stepped forward, both arms coming to fold over his chest as he speaks coldly. “You heard wrong. Piss off.” Raevyn would then reach out and grasp the undead man by his arm, a signal to step back a little. With a cautious approach, Raevyn sought to offer an explanation. “I was there. I… am that necromancer. But my name is Raevyn. Raevyn McGowan. Not Nasada.” It wasn’t a lie- Her birth name was Raevyn. Though that secondary moniker, and why it was being thrown around, was quite concerning. “How do you know this name? And why are you seeking me? Have you come for my arrest?” Baelok was beginning to shift, agitation and an itch for battle beginning to present itself.

Ngirturong would tense up some as the undead man raises his voice. She's no fighter, but has enough tricks to survive. She relaxes some as the woman makes him stand down and shakes her head as she begins to explain. "I ran into that boy that was hurt. He told me things about Larket, things that's happened to my home since I've been away." She sighs. "He told about some virus, I figured you could give me some info on what it was."

Raevyn breathes a sigh of relief once she realizes the young woman is not any sort of foe. “Oh.” She looks to Baelok who is still staring Ngirturong down. There was still a bloodlust in his eyes. “Stop. Please. You’re making the girl uncomfortable. There is nothing wrong with that she seeks.” The undead grunted and rolled those white eyes of his backward. “Whatever.” With Baelok officially standing down, Raevyn takes a moment to think over the words of the inquisitive woman. “I am not certain, truly. The only thing I could actually think of, is that there is a curse currently upon the town. All towns, really. Something about an ancient jar that was opened. The curse on Larket, from what i understand, is that people age much faster than they should. My friend, Artia, her daughter aged into a teenager in a very, very short time. I do not know exactly how short, but I think she is speaking something like six or seven years within the span of a few months. If there is any sort of illness outside of that, I am really not sure.” The necromancer takes a turn to then ask, “How… how is Bastion, then? Is he mending well?”

Ngirturong nods to Raevyn's question. "He seems to be doing fine. Seems nice too, hard to believe Larket folks can get so violent. "The teen sighs. "That's I hoping to maybe aid in any way I can. I hoping to find out as much as I can to maybe find a way to fix it. "She tilts her head. "This jar, what do you know of it?"

Raevyn taps upon her lower lip as she thinks about what Artia had spoken of, “Well. I’m not sure exactly. I heard tale that it once belong to an old God of sorts. Vakra...something. I am sorry, I am not familiar with the local religions of this land. But This jar belong to him and was gifted to a woman sometime in the last year. The jar was broken and it unleashed these curses. That is as much as I understand.” In an act of comfort, she added, “I am sorry. I do hope that your loved ones, had you any in the town, are all well and safe. Apparently, if you were not present when the jar broke, you were not affected by the curse.”

Ngirturong glances to Raevyn with sighs and small shake of her head. "I don't think the curse would have affected me anyway. I think you have to be part of the living for that to happen." She hints at her being anything other than human. "I read things on the God you speak of, not good things either. "Teen crosses her arms as she looks to the woman now. "So, who was this woman who received the jar?"

The undead that had been keeping quiet out of a slight, very slight, respect for the young necromancer finally opened his jaws. “I knew it. Could smell the damn stink off of ya. Bloodsucker ain’t ya?” Raevyn instinctively reached for her neck as those words dropped. No Raevyn, don’t be racist- a mental reminder. “I see.” she stated simply, looking Ngirturong over. “I am not sure who received the jar, really. I did not have much of a chance to inquire, what with the wars and witch hunts going on in that town. Although, I too would likely be interesting in learning more about who received this gift, and why. Why they would be so foolish to unleash this strange hell.” A bit of a shrug was offered.

Ngirturong would glare at the undead as she balls her fists. "Watch it zombie." The teen warns as she turns back to Raevyn. "Here another question, who gave it to her in the first place?" The teen sighs as she shakes her head. "Maybe speaking to Queen Josleen will give me some answers."

The glow of the new day’s sun begins to fill the village street and this causes Raevyn to finally glance upward at the sky. There is a slight look of panic upon her face as she reveals, “Oh no! I’m going to be late!” To Ngirturong a bow was offered, a healthy smile as she said, “Please excuse me. I need to get to my lessons. It was nice to meet you,um… I never did get your name.” The teen’s remark was replied to in the form of a grunt from the former ‘zombie’

Ngirturong pulls her hood to her head as she turns turns to the oncoming sun. "It's Ngirturong, I'll be seeing you around." With that the teen turns away from the sun and leans forth. From there a slight "Whoosh!" can be heard as the teen's body moves as speeds as quick as blinking an eye, leaving behind a streaking trail of dimming light in her wake.

Raevyn smiles, but is soon left in a state of wonder when the teenage just sort of disappears from where she had been standing. The swiftness and speed something she had never quite seen before. She did not think about it too long, however, as she had to quickly head inside the Tower and get to her daily lessons. With a bit of a wave, she ushered Baelok along and together they headed north to magii training facility.
