RP:Rohk Boogies

From HollowWiki

This is a Healer's Guild RP.

Summary Emilia takes Rohk out for a day to a place beneath the castle remains in Cenril. On their adventure none other than Sabrina joins the group. A conversation on Guild member progress in interrupted by the hound and the end result is not only a sneeze, but Emilia being coated in a layer of Rohk snot.

Emilia might have lost her mind when she left a note for Sabrina stating she was taking Rohk on a special day trip to the lava cavern beneath the castle remains in Cenril. The little woman had grown very distantly close to the beast over the past few months and it seemed he liked her well enough to go out on a trip with, that or he just wanted more of the left overs she had been feeding him. Either way, Em was nice enough to leave a note behind. The Genasi walked with careful steps along the path surrounded by river of lava on either side. Up ahead of her was Rohk excited running way ahead of the woman before walking back to check up on the woman with a curious gaze and a low grumble of a cautious growl. That growl was what Em took as his way of asking if she was alright because it was not until she nodded and said, “I’m fine!” then he’d take off again enjoying the heated environment. The Genasi was barefooted, in a pair of cut off shorts, and wearing a faded green bikini top. This day, she also managed to have done something with those wild curls, pulling them up into an even messier bun atop her head. Note, left arm sports a series of rookie stitches between the wrist and elbow almost perfectly centered for a six inch wound that itself is strangely straight and what would of been a clean cut.

Sabrina followed footsteps not her own, remnants left behind and filtered to shared memories to find him. After the short travel the pictures in her head finally began to mesh with the sights her eyes took in and there he was. No note in the world gave better directions than that bond. She looked pleased to find him, though not like she was searching in an act of desperation. It had just been some time was all, and the company he currently kept made it well worth the effort to seek him out. She missed the days to watch him frolic and was happy Emi brought out his playful nature again, he’d grown so serious lately and in truth his mood was rubbing off gradually. Her steps were not hurried, but came far more smooth and swift than the Genasi so it wasn’t too long before she caught up. “Not too many he considers friends, you know.” She goes in for the hug, there were no witnesses, of course, so there would be no proof this level of affection was still in her.

Emilia came to a slow stop at the faint sound of more footsteps behind her. Glancing up she could see Rohk faintly up ahead in the distance meaning it wasn’t him finding a path that looped back around to get behind her and his mood had not switched into bodyguard meaning it was someone he fancied. Turning on the path the ghostly white woman found herself staring at that one woman who she could never get tired of seeing. That put a smile on those frosted blue lips as she returned the embrace. Oddly enough the Genasi was not cold, not in the slightly bit did she feel cold, more like a human. It was not the extreme heat she was exposing herself too, no under normal days the frozen one wouldn’t dare venture this close to anything this warm. If Sabrina looked close enough while this close to the woman she would notice that mixed in with those white curls were streaks of golden blonde. Also, that ankle that sported the gold piece had dark blue marks running both up her leg and down her foot in a series of lightning-like pattern. “Oh, Sarbina. I have missed you so!” the mushier of the two would say as she squeezed Sabrina tightly. “I am fairly sure that he thinks of me as more of a annoyance that he can’t let get taken, or injured, or killed, or lost without being in trouble. Plus, I think he likes the left overs,” came with a small giggle.

Sabrina ‘Ah’s’ “ So it is bribery then, that keeps you close to his heart. Even he doesn’t understand the why of it.” And she spoke from a place of truth, she knew what he was on about most days, some days just greater in detail than others. She was eyeing Emi speculatively, the changes noted and begging so many questions but even with the closest of friends she was keen to mind her business. She releases Emilia half way, taking to her side with one arm about her waist to continue in Ro’s wake. Once more he had doubled back to calculate the progress and comes to a running halt in front of the elfess, snorting a round of snot at her feet. “One week!” she shouts at his face before he turns once more with a huff this time, proving her elvish answer was not adequate. She continues to shout after him, as if he couldn’t glean internally. “I am not your keeper!” In earnest, she should have at least checked in. To Emilia she picks up a conversation with no explanation of the quarrel. “I am heading to Frostmaw in a few days. A member if the Eerie I am told has passed. Larket representation at the funeral would help quell what is brewing, I think.”

Emilia slid an arm in return around the waist of the other woman, finding it easier to walk with her at her side on the strange path through the flowing heat. In was not long before the Genasi found herself matching the other step for step, in perfect sync as they traveled along behind Ro still playful yet a bit grumpy now. “Today, I didn’t have to bribe him. I said I was going to see some relics in a lava tunnel, and he wouldn’t let me go outside unless I said he could go. Silly, Ro. I’d of been fine solo.” Silence then fell as she listened with intent to the other’s words. After Sabrina finished she remained silent a moment or two more, “I just left Frostmaw not too long ago. I met up with Miss Penelope there, then had a tea party with Valen, and came back home. Angered Ro with aimless walking. Missed sleep for a few days and found myself being tucked into bed by Krice, I think, he was gone when I woke. Crazy past week. I didn’t hear of anyone dying while I was up in Frostmaw, who died? Not Pilar? She is still doing well? I visited her too. Made her a leg out of ice.”

Sabrina seemed less surprised by Emilia’s claim. Once Ro has made up his mind about a person’s safety it is impossible to change it. “I’m glad he came.” Between the lines it implied Rohk would have been in trouble if he knew of this and failed to escort. The mention of Penelope brought a smile to her face, she recruited that one personally and even placed a special tutor for her studies. She laughs at Ro’s condemnation of aimless travels, one of his major pet peeves; and arches a brow at Krice’s continued attentiveness. There were few good men, he was one of them. She answers the name of ‘Harold’ to her query though she had no additional information, not having known the man personally and made a face at the idea of walking on a stub of ice. Emilia truly was coming along just fine in her adjustments to te craft. “And how is Mr. Fennigan?” She hadn’t spoken to Penelope’s Tutor in some time and he was considerably lax in sending updates recently. His failing discipline would need to be handled in their next meeting.

Emilia scrunched her face on one side as the name was revealed of who died. It was a strange face with one eye shut, the other open, and her lips twisted into odd shape. A click of the tongue before the word, ‘nope’, escaped her lips. She didn’t know the person either. Letting the subject pass on the dead-guy or dead-gal Em tilted her head and rested it on the should of the other, surely an annoyance with the big ol’ messy bun atop her head.”Oh, Mr. Finn, that man always has bothered me. Perhaps it is because I can only handle so much serious people at a time. One and one in training, nearly killed me! Well, actually it didn’t. She managed to stitch my arm up just fine after a brief moment of panic. He is doing pretty well on keeping her prim and proper. Also, I find that he does do a good job of handling the basic book learning. I like this new one, Penelope, however, she gives me nightmares afterwards. Mr. Finn is doing well with her and I think she will go a long way if she sticks to the Guild. You sure have an eye for the good ones.” A pause, “Am I just the rotten one that you cannot get rid of?” she’d question with a teasing tone.

Sabrina wrinkled up her nose at the tuft of curls wriggling about and secretly blows them repeatedly out of her face but does not pull herself away as Emi’s headrest. “I trained Mr. Fennigen personally.” It was probably why his mannerisms were so annoying to most. Turning Emilia’s arm to look she grimaces along the idea of the sheer stack of injuries this woman seemed to incur. “A bit of manners goes a long way.” While the elfess was always well on the side of rudeness one could strongly argue the unintentional mannerisms were heavily laced with highborn propriety. In other words, she was considerably well mannered, for a self-entitled upbringing. She stops, turning Emi to face her, it was all very serious. “You are, and always will be, my first choice, Emz.” Her brows were drawn together, mind aflurry with the many times the simple farmgirl that stood now before her opted to look beyond her own misgivings even before the notoriety that fell in her lap. In all the quiet and stillness Sabrina failed to notice Rohk had circled back around and stood behind them, that is, until the slurp of him wetting his maw brought the heat of his breath at her ear. “Goddammit Ro!” She had thrown her arm out swiftly, backhanding him in that sweet-spot where the cushion of nostril met obsidian plating. He sneezes out a thick and murky string of mucus that spiderwebbed a thin veil over them both.

Emilia beamed a smile that spoke most louder than words at Sabrina’s chosen statement to her here in the underground chasm filled with lava and not another soul around to hear her speak it aloud. One day, one day Emi would get that elf to push past her proper serious-self and show some form of feeling when there is another present that isn’t Ro. With that thought the Genasi would turn to look ahead of the missing fellow, he was due back to check up on them by now. Turning then she found him just as Sabrina hit him by the nose. It was with wide eyes that she new what was about to happen next, he would sneeze. The movements of the little woman were quick as she moved herself without thinking to standing between Sabrina and Ro just before his snot came flying out of his nostrils. The giant bun of curls and body of the mostly Genasi blocking most-if-not-all the slime from landing on the elf behind her. Em knew all too well just how much her favorite lady hated being dirty. Eyes held tightly shut and her mouth too Em just stayed statue like as tendrils of ooze dripped from her frame onto the path below. The words that follow were mumbled through closed lips, something sound like ‘if a didn’t need a bath I sure do now, thanks Ro”

Sabrina had very little snot dribble that barely frosted the outline of her form where it meandered its way around Emi. She looked absolutely mortified, despite wearing a fraction of Emi’s new attire. In fact, one could argue she looked like she was about to cry. And with fists tightening to perfect white-knuckled little balls she slowly slides Emilia from her place in the most frightening display of retaining ones calm. Ro takes a cautious step back, mumbling some argument an onlooker could be sure was to lay out his defense. She spoke to him in that rising torrent, where simple elvish blurred more fluidly with a much more ancient dialect as her tone grew angrier with each step forward that countered his back. She lunges for him like some tiny mouse offering a tango to a serpent of epic proportions and he dodges even further back up the path, if for any reason, was obviously her own safety.

Emilia was ever frozen still as Sabrina slid her out of the way. The words were almost lovely to hear coming from the other woman, if only they were not mean words from the current moment one might think it was some beautiful meaning. Em would listen carefully, trying to figure out what was going on. After a good long moment the Genasi would lift a hand up to start wiping the snot from her face, casually splattering it off herself onto the ground below. It took the entire debackle between the two of the farmer to finally get enough Ro slime off her face to be able to open her eyes again. Then it was a matter of not speaking to speak, mumbled words “I best be going.” And with careful steps the Genasi would start making her way back along the path that lead to the Chasm to climb up to the surface again. The ocean was close, she could rinse off there.

Sabrina was ready to give it another go if not for the softly spoken words of the somewhat murky girl heading up the path. She took to her side, as if guiding through the winding blindspots in case there was a misstep due to the inadequate cleaning bare hands had to offer. “Piss off” she growls at Ro, the new pairing of words she learned was quickly climbing the charts of Sabrina’s new list of applicable phrases she was picking up in Kelay. She would take Emi as far as she could stomach without getting too close to the putrid aroma of the fisherman’s wharf.

Emilia couldn’t smell much other than herself, which was of Ro boogies. She was ever glad for the guiding out of the hole, it would have been most hard slime coated to get out alone. Once on the top of the surface the farmer knew well the way back past the wharf and toward the cleaner ocean coast away from those that fished it. Off toward the shipwreck area where she could clean off and have a giant item on the beach to block her once she stripped free from her present clothing. Surfaced, she would mumble a ‘thank you’ to Sabrina followed by a ‘wuff you’ and then a ‘catcha later’. Watch out Cenril Slime Monster Emi is on the loose.
