Summary: Tyson's shot is no good and he ends up shooting a healer by mistake.

Abandoned Archery Range, Kelay

Tyson stands taught, in front of him stands three targets with various arrows already scattered about the marks. Reaching back behind him, drawing out a single bolt, he knocks the arrow into a bow that looks like it’s going to snap in half any moment. With a deep inhale the arrow is aimed at the center target as a spew of words begin to flow forth from his mouth. The arrow is launched racing through the air, as it forces through a white light engulfs the arrow and splits it into three identical arrows that begin to race through the air but all three seem to miss the targets rather the center one falls dead right after the split while the other two seem to have a mind of their own going anywhere BUT the intended targets.

Kailani was just trying to mind her own business, as per the norm, and enjoy a secluded walk in the forest. It was not entirely unheard of for someone to wander through the archery range and decide it was ample time for practice, but usually they have better aim. This moment highlights exactly why the druid -always- aims for preparation rather than comfort. See, it would be more comfortable to parade through the woods barefoot and in a dress, but what is one to do in the case of arrows gone rogue when wearing a dress? Not much. Kailani always opts for her leather armors though, which is a blessing in moments like these. She is slightly less prepared in the fact that her weapon of choice, a ranseur, is currently strapped to her back which makes her very hard pressed to be deflect the arrow. One way or another it would seem that there is a high probability that the blue-haired druid is going to be caught unaware and take an arrow to the gut. Her armor will help, but it's still going to hurt. Shooting people is always a good way to make friends, yeah?

Tyson watches as the stray arrow flies through, he cringes when the trajectory of the arrow is discovered. “Heads up!” he shouts but it appears to be to late as it struck the other. He sighs and begins to walk forward first dropping down to pick up the first arrow then continues over to Kailani. “Are you alright?” he asks softly.

Were is not for the fact that Tyson shouted a warning, he might have been met with hostility upon his approach. His warning leads her to the conclusion that she should not be dreadfully concerned by his presence. Alas, the druid has a fairly level head upon her shoulders, injured or not. The situation truly could be more grim for the blue-haired woman, she is a member of the Healer's Guild. One would hope she'd be able to tend to herself, and Tyson would fine on his approach that she is doing just that. The arrow is being yanked from her gut with a wince and then armor is dislodged just enough so she can ascertain exactly how she wants to fix herself. "Is your aim always this bad?" she inquires of Tyson, before declaring, "It will be fine. I have been given worse." Evidence by a rather fresh looking scare upon her neck.

Tyson sighs as he approaches her. “Only when working with this spell. It’s… a work in progress I assure you. Though in defense, this is a range and even though it seems to be not used much lately this is still the area of arrows to be flying even if it’s off target by a few meters or twenty.” He gives a half smile hoping to indicate the joke. Dropping his gaze down to the wound he looks over it like a true make believe doctor. “Doesn’t seem to have pierced anything vital, I have some mead to help with the pain if you’d like”

Kailani's fairly stoic nature does not often reveal if she actually catches on to these jokes that people make. There is a flash of a smirk that crosses her lips, but Tyson could very well miss the expression while he is busy playing make believe doctor. "You are correct, nothing vital," the actual healer affirms. With this conclusion drawn by the both of them, the blue-haired woman presses the palm of her hand to the injury and closes her eyes, focusing and channeling her energy. Within a few moments, the flesh wound is gone and Kailani is back on her feet and strapping her armor back into place. "Is that how you treat your injuries? Drink a little mead and hope the alcohol makes it all better?" Was the druid making jokes now? Maybe. "Try your spell again. I will stand in a better place this time."

Tyson shrugs at the comment “I mean drinking the alcohol will either do one of two things. Drink a little bit and it might help or if it doesn’t help drink until the pain goes away and it no longer matters. Either way it’s a win win.” He shrugs and walks back to his original starting point. Using the same original arrow he loads up the bow and takes a deep breath. Aiming the arrow once again at the center target he draws the string back and begins to chant the words for the spell.

Kailani keeps good on her promise. She locates herself about several meters behind Tyson this time, for if that arrow goes so rogue that is curves backwards toward her...? Well it is just really not likely, Kailani hopes beyond hope, spell influenced or not. Getting shot a second time would really put her in a sour mood, she'd have no choice but to presume Tyson is doing it on purpose at that point! The druid does not argue over Tyson's alcohol logic, she merely shakes her head, "Well if you ever find yourself in need of a proper healer, the name is Kailani. I can be hard to locate, but the offer is there."

Tyson lets the arrow loose while the spell work is still in motion. The arrow races through the air, once it reaches the midway point a light engulfs the arrow once again, on the other side of the light three arrows rush out. The center one continues reaching the target in what would be a chest cavity if such a bundle of grass and hay were to have chest cavities. The one to the left falls dead in its movement right after meating the light, and the one on the right flies far off hitting target 6 in the arm area. "The name is Tyson, I'm sure one of these arrows will one day find it's place some where in me and when that day comes I will come seek you out. "

Kailani is no ranger. The woman has little to offer in terms of advice for she's not even close to capable of performing the spell that Tyson is attempting. Her magic, when put on display, is rooted in the elements. "That looks to me like an improvement?" she defers to Tyson for confirmation on this, lifting a blue brow curiously. Her curiosity is the sole reason she lodged the request for him to try again, she just wanted to see what he was trying to accomplish prior to accidentally shooting a total stranger. A hand is lifted, not the one that is slightly bloodied from tending to her wound, so that she can highlight an insignia worn about her neck. "If you cannot find me then there are others like me who can help too. Just look for our mark."

Tyson sighs. "It's an improvement but still needs work. I just don't know where to work is it the shot? The spell? Both?" He shrugs. "But least the spell makes it so I sit have to buy more arrows. Which I suppose is a plus as long as they don't hit anyone else"

Kailani again finds herself lifting a brow. "Buy arrows?" The druid gestures to the forest around them, suggesting that he has all the resources he needs to avoid buying them. "A lesson for another day, perhaps. Should our paths ever cross again, that is. For now I leave you to puzzle over if it is the spell or the shot so that I can clean myself up properly." She may have healed herself, but her blood lingered on her hands and her armor. Plus her chest piece now has a lovely hole in it, rendering it unsuitable for further use. The druid must also rectify that. "Do try not to shoot anyone else, it's really quite rude." Kailani makes a point of flashing Tyson a smile to signal that her last sentence is spoken jokingly before she turns to continue on with her day.

Tyson raises his bow and shoots another arrow this with no spell, the arrow races and through rushing to find the target and impales itself through the chest of the second target. "Be safe on your travels be wary of any free flying projectiles"
