RP:Nip it in the Bud

From HollowWiki

Summary: Sunrise with a bind man, there is no reason for this.

Sabrina is laying on her back, allowing her feet to dangle over the cliffs edge, whilst reading in the dark. She is not wearing her standard uniform, rather, a semi scant hunting outfit (in comparison) designed specifically for her gifts and hunting; form fitted pants and a deep V cut midriff vest. Her hair is tied in up in Elvish warbraids and she smells like Vanilla, Sandalwood, and heavily metallic blood that is obviously not her own. Her clothes are saturated with it yet her skin has since been cleaned. There is a bow laying beside her with no quiver and she is silent as the grave, aside from an occasional page turn where parchment scrapes dryly against more parchment.

Toth had dropped most of his amour back at the barracks that he stayed on occasion, his bow would not be free from his hand but his quiver would only be about half full from the previous night as well as a hunt he was taking part of. He would reach up with his free hand to wipe his eye for a moment before his steady walk to just before the cliffs edge. His toes would play with a bit of ruble and they would slip from the cliff before he takes a step back, he thoroughly enjoyed feeling the sun rising and spilling over his frame. His feet had carried him just to the side of the woman with a smile over his face, her scent was always a pleasing one but the blood was also a familiar smell and the pages that continue to turn have him wonder for a moment. "Good book?"

Sabrina didn’t even have the nerve to lie about what she read. It wasn’t scholarly, essentially it was smut, but it was also an intriguing, if not misleading, representation of social intercourse. “Landon.” She replies flatly, flipping the page to continue her study and oddly this behavior only meant she was growing accustomed to Toth’s presence. “Good view?” She smirks slightly and another page turns.

Toth smirks at her question before he slowly lowers himself to the ground so that his feet likewise dangle from the edge and his bow would be moved to the side of his body that Sabrina was not on. His face would turn to peer at her as he pushes the visor to his hair line like most days they were together. "Not yet, gotta wait for the good part."

Sabrina sits up, shutting the book to finally look at him. “Good part?” It was really avoiding the question of ‘why do you always look at me like that, its weird, and quit it.’ She doubted he would know the good part even if he could take in the beauty of a breaking dawn. “Enlighten me.” She crosses her legs, turning to face him in the same manner he was intentionally facing her. The strange bit was, she paid very little attention to people who could actually respond to this sort of individual attention, most days she never even made eye contact with her patients, let alone the guy that sold her something at the general store. To take this kind of care was not as casual as it may have seemed, affording him a courtesy which she did not to most others.

Toth allowed each and every morning to flood his memory, each time that warmth covered him like a security blanket each time he was able to just sit through it and allow to it keep him company. When explaining something like this, something he was passionate about, he would start to talk with his hands and they moved to and fro in a manner that he would be able to explain it to a deaf person but it would be more from excitement then necessity. "The sun, even if you can't see it it still spills over you. Feels you with this..security I guess, even if it is just for that brief moment when the rays first hit you and you know you've made to a new day. A new start and whatever yesterday had, is the past now." His feet would move so that he would be sitting on one and the other still hanging off the edge. "Even thought things from the past can make it into the present, it's still a new chance."

Sabrina didn’t know how to feel, it was not often she was wrong about people, all people not Toth that is. “uh huh.” It was a contemplative noise more than it was agreeing with what he said. She stares off to the horizon, why she looked pissed off all the time was beyond her. Then, she does something truly strange. She adjusts herself so she is leaning against his shoulder and sits in perfect silence. If it was his intention to enjoy the sunrise to that effect, she was not about to stop him. Unless of course, she insisted on being right and suddenly decides to push him off the cliff.

Toth had nearly toppled over to his side when she had leaned against him, it was unexpected to say the least but he was glad that she was opening up a bit to him. His smile widened and his arm lifted to drape around her and pull himself closer to her as his foot slipped back over the edge and his face turned to the horizon along with the elfess and as the sun started to rise his eyes would close and his head would tilt back. As the rays lifted higher on his form his body relaxed more then she had ever seen it and he gave her a light squeeze as his body filled with peace for just a brief moment.

Sabrina didn’t stiffen when his arm draped over her. He was far from pushy and he simply did not throw out any alarms that would normally trigger her defenses. She watches his movements, a smile forming on her face as he seemed to enjoy every inch of new sunshine the new day had to offer. She ‘hm’s’ softly and her body tenses slightly at a silent chuckle. He was beautiful and adorable all at once. It was in that moment she realizes her affinity for him and abruptly stands. Without reason she leans over to retrieve her bow and in perfect silence she straps it to her form. “Good day, Mr. Toth.” And she is rather short with him when she stands. It was nothing a few more pages and a nice brisk distraction couldn’t fix. She isn’t unpleasant in her departure either, just oh so abrupt.
