Summery: Irenic sees an older new-ish face and things are going on with said face.

Further Down Hill

The road here is incredibly slick, and you soon find yourself almost falling flat on your face. Although the road is cleared of snow, ice has settled in a thin line over the soil. Each step releases a quiet crunch beneath your feet, and as you look to the sides of the roads, several giants are watching you, smiling as if waiting for you to slip, so that a good laugh can be heard. The road is a little better north, to the south the village continues. To the west you can hear more comotion, as it seems to be the main area of the village.

Artia emerged from the icy realms and a long trip through Xalious she went. With a soft sigh the female was starting to warm up enough that she could pull off the fur lined robe off. Sitting down after she collected wood and started a fire to rest. laying on her side she began to rub her small pugging but growing belly.

Irenic swoops down from the skies above in landing with a marvelous thud on the ground near the fire, mistaking it at a help signal. His gaze darts about as if searching for something before bicolored eyes landing on Artia, silver eye fixating on the beauty and the brown one tracking bits of magic in it's sightless state. Curious thing was he knew he was a witch, but he expected to 'see' more magic emitting off of her. Long and booted strides near himself to her granting her that favorite scent as he was nearly wagging a finger at her, "It's, you! Where have you been?" He didn't seem too upset about it, just curious.

Artia hummed softly as she was very content and relaxed, she had finally left Frostmaw after months. The fact that half her magic was sucked away from the simple topaz hanging around her neck, to be away from it caused her pain. Normally she would sense someone near, but she didn't. Sitting up slowly the fiery red hair escaped from the bun that held it at bay to cascade down her back. Her having no trim or cut in so long had gotten even longer to point the tips went passed her bottom almost laying on the ground behind her. Turning slightly she grabbed her bag, pulling out a biscuit. Holding it out towards the flames to let the biscuit warm some before she would take a bite. Just as the bite hit her tongue, she choked at the sudden entrance of Irenic. No matter how much she moved on, part of her heart still missed him. Patting her large chest to help get the biscuit unstuck, exhaling hard once it was down the pipe. "Irenic.. You scared me!!" Slowly she rouse to her feet, moving up to him to offer a hug if he wanted one. "I've been in Frostmaw, ran into a very large troublesome  object.. And now making my way back home."

Irenic guffawed at her when she said she got scared, the brown one of his eyes bringing their attention to the necklace that hung about her bosom. He accepted the hug with a ginger pat on her head, "Have you been looking for the people missing, too?" He asks, as that was something he was kind of doing whenever his master told him to go to Frostmaw and keep busy. She mentions an object and being a knight he probably shouldn’t be able to tell such a thing, but he assumes, "Is it that necklace about your neck?" Once she mentions home he assumes again, "Your house? Let's go, I hate the cold." It seemed he wanted any excuse out of the town as he made his way to her belongings and handing them to her only to wait for her to get situated for flight.

Artia eyed him, the eyes were different. She pushed herself from his arms, not wanting the hug to last very long. "I've been in Frostmaw, what people?" She fingers the necklace, "It drained my magic, I have only a small amount back but not enough to protect myself. But yes I am heading back to the cottage." She watches him grab her things which was just a bag and her robe. holding them tightly against her stomach. "Let's go."

Artia's Ranch

Once you enter this ranch styled home you are greeted by a large foyer. Floors are layed with cherry wood planks, further into the foyer resides a grand pearl fire place. Once you leave the foyer, to the left is a large living room with book shelves along the walls. The books are full of different spells, potions and other magic topic books, some on different races of creatures within the land. This room would be a book worms heaven. Varies soft leather couches fill this room, wide windows are full in the walls. With cream curtains, and silver rope holding the curtains open. An cream color door is in the far left of the room. Within the room has lion fur blanket in front of the king size bed, the walls are painted varies greens and browns. With French doors leading outside. Upon leaving this room heading out to the foyer, going the other way you enter into a wood burning stove kitchen. The counter top is on its own island with granite tops, and a basket full of fresh variety fruits. Beside the fruit basket resides clean wine glasses accompanying wine bottles. Brass candle chandelier hangs directly above the island. Opposite side of the kitchen stands a large Bay window with a four person glass top table. Heading back out the foyer, you spot a secret door beside the grand pearl fire place, moving into the master bedroom the floor is enchanted to look like grass. The walls are painted with crimson until you look at the east wall, which is decorated with rocks and living plants at the corner of the floor is a natural spring, used like a hot tub would. Beside the spring across the room resides a four post cherry king size canopy bed. Looking back to where you entered could see the grand pearl fire place which turned out to be two sided. This room as well has its own French doors to exit outside.

Irenic shrugged as he helped her get her coat back on, "I don't know people came up missing after all the war and such… Some mages have gone missing, I've heard." He lifts her up into the night time air and soaring over Hollow until they reach Larket. He spots the roof of her ranch and lands at the door step. Placing her down gently he looks at the necklace again, squinting with those bicolored eyes, "Well then just take it off." His face was bent down close as his hand reaches close to the necklace so he may rip it from her. "Damned thing…"

Artia leaned back as his face came down so close to her chest, her hand ready to smack him if he tried anything. "It hurts if-" As soon as his hand removed the necklace, she fell to her knees cringing and gasping in pain. "I need it back..it hurts without it on." Her hair was beginning to pale to a silver as the gem was pulling more from her.

Irenic held the gem in his hands for a minute and observing it like a scholarly nerd until he saw the woman writing in pain at his feet. Shoulders cringe up and he squats down next to her and places the gem in her hands with an expression on his face as if to say 'whoops!' Once she would start going back to normal he would help her up to her feet and motion for her to carry on into her home. "… Apologies."

Artia jerked the gem back to her from his hand, standing up her hair did not go back to the red just yet. "Don't be, you are just being you. I don't know what this gem is, but if I remove it from me it takes more from me. If I keep it with me, I slowly gain myself back. I guess if I want a death I just toss it away from me." She joked, bad joke but joked. "Come on of course." She walked into her living room sitting on the couch, it was evident no one had been home in a while as dust had collected. She was a clean freak, and deep cleaned twice a week so this was not acceptable.

Irenic's eyes peered around once he got inside, he was a neat freak himself and this sight causes him to stop dead in his tracks at the doorway. A headache threatening his temples and temporal lobes as his boots gently step backwards. "I'm going to go through the library to find information on this gem… What did you say it was made out of again?" Once she would answer him he would turn and take off once more into the night air.

Artia looked at him, her hair had slowly gotten red again. "Irenic why do you even want to bother with helping me out? It's not like I'm your responsibility hon. " She stood up and walked into her kitchen frowning at the way her home looked, it would take a lot to get it clean.

Irenic unable to leave without the answer, still stuck at the doorway as if he's some vampire needing invited in, shouted into her home, "What did you say!? What kind of gem!?"

Artia moved back up to him, looking into his eyes. Arms crossed, "Topaz, now answer me."

Irenic gave a wicked smirk, "Answer what?" He'd pretended those long pointy ears couldn't hear she had asked him a question. A sticking out of his tongue and off he was.
