Part of the The End's Not Near Arc

Summary: Kreekitaka catches Nicolau on his way to Chartsend to properly thank Pilar and Yozenra for their assistance with the battle royale (pun intended) that took place in the weeks before. The Uyeer divulges the lastest news! Jaize has been planning an attack on Chartsend! Of course, Nicolau wants everything to do with it and pledges to be in attendance when the whole shebang goes down.

The Path To Chartsend

The male rogue looked much better off on the trail leading towards Chartsend. His wounds, no longer visible beyond a scar, vertically dividing his right brow. The skin surrounding was still angry and healing. He walked without stiffness or reserved function. His hair is greasy, perhaps more so than normal, slicked back and glossy in the evening sun. A thin cloak of ebony furs covers his shoulders. The wind still carries a chill this close to the shoreline. His aim is clearly the little city ahead, normally tucked in and full of cricket chirps and the hushed laughter of lovers tucked in one another’s arms as they stroll the lamp lit streets together. Nico’s hands are shoved deep into his pockets, both daggers fit snugly in their holsters as he makes his lazy way forward.

Kreekitaka stepped onto the path from the direction of the beach and hurried forward towards the rogue, eager to meet with him--after all, there was much strategy to discuss, and that was why he'd called on him. "Nicoyau!" He extended a claw to shake with him. "You are recovering smooHHHTHyee, I hope? Our fighTAH! was HHHTHe besTAH! I have haDAH! in a yong whioh, an' I mus' HHHTHank you again for iTAH!." Pleasantries first, of course. Can't go around beating a man and then just act like nothing happened. He wasn't wearing his fineries today--a basic red kilt, adorned with a simple trilobite in blue embroidery. Of course, he still had his jawblade, but then he never went anywhere without it, these days.

Nicolau turned smoothly to greet the Uyeer with a lopsided smile that showed no trace of disappointment in their meeting. “Ah, your majesty.” The grin spreads across his face in the wake of Kree’s excitement. “Yeah, it was a lot of fun, admittedly.” In hindsight, now that the blow of losing Muzo had started to mend along with the wounds won in the arena. His hazel gaze sweeps the jawbone with a reminiscent sort of nostalgia before rolling his neck from side to side, popping several bones therein as his chin straightens. “You have my thanks for agreeing to the whole thing.” His left hand leaves his pocket, cupping the back of his neck absentmindedly. “I suppose you’d like to discuss terms for your shop and other such fabulous prizes?” A natural assumption, given the context.

Kreekitaka, in what was probably a surprising move, shook his head negatively. "No. Er, yes, however we have more TAH!oo DAH!iscuss righTAH! now, an' HHHTHe oHHHTHer HHHTHings can be DAH!iscusseDAH! when we have yess pressing maTAH!ers." He gestured to Chartsend with a claw, sweeping it across the city. "Jaize is pyanning an aTAH!ack here." He paused, then, eyeing the man for a reaction, gauging how much of an enemy she was to him. "She is bringing a yarge force. We'o be reaDAH!ee--Io have my DAH!inosaur knighTAH!s, Yionoh is going TAH!oo be here, an' you can see we have a moaTAH! unDAH!er construction--buTAH! HHHTHere is one finoh piece TAH!oo our DAH!efense which onyee you can proviDAH!."

The male tilts his head, the look of confusion growing as Kree’s declaration unravels. He’s happy to discuss something beyond his winnings because, quite frankly, Nicolau can’t offer Kree his prize until Alithrya is ride of it’s current ‘evil queen’ infestation. When Jaize’s name slips off his lips, he assumes a fighting stance immediately; both hands jet from their current position to his side, elbows and knees bent. His face is cast in a deep seriousness that carves heavy lines in his forehead and along his neck. “Where is she?” If he’d been a dog, all the hackles on the back of his neck would be at attention. Indeed, his shoulders are lifted in such a manner that alluded to this fact. “I swear I’ll rip her head off…” Kreekitaka goes on to explain there’s a final piece of the puzzle that the rogue can provide, and his fists lower with catious concern. He does see the moat from this distance, now that he’s really looking instead of mindlessly wandering his thoughts and ignoring the path ahead. “Why does she want to attack Chartsend…? Doesn’t she have everything she wants in Alithrya?” Clearly things are progressing beyond her expectations. “How can I help fill in the gaps? What do you need?” The name or item Kree speaks of is indistinguishable in his heavy accent to the naga.

Kreekitaka would have grinned had he lips, and instead clenched his facial crushers and rippled his paddles musically down his back. Excellent, they were enemies, as he'd hoped. The plan was rapidly coming together. "I know noTAH! why she's coming here. I DAH!oo know, however, HHHTHaTAH! if she comes here wiHHHTH a force which ouTAH!numbers us a hundreDAH! TAH!oo one, our preparations may be for noHHHTHing. Which is why you an' your naga mus' DAH!ecyare an aTAH!ack on her, whioh she is aTAH!acking here." He paused again, letting the idea sink in before elaborating. "If she is away from her ciTAH!ee, if her army is away, her ciTAH!ee is weak an' her HHHTHrone mighTAH! be seizeDAH!. Someone seizing HHHTHis opporTAH!uniTAH!ee mus' force her TAH!oo retreaTAH!, reDAH!uce her forces here, giving us a chance TAH!oo win. We can force her inTAH!oo a yosing position wiHHHTH HHHTHis move."

Nicolau considers the strategy, letting his muscles slack as the Uyeer explains his plan. Seize the throne? Oh how deliciously ironic that would be. But was now the right time to try and take back control?? Soon...if not now. This would get them close enough. Back into the city, at least. Right under her nose. This would be the perfect chance for Royce, or at least a small task force, to sneak into the palace, further their position in the days and weeks to come. “Will she really fall for it?” He muses aloud with a grin ripe with childish glee. “She’ll never expect that -” The male steps forward, trying to find some ‘shoulder’ region to grasp on to with a gentle shake of enthusiasm. “I have no idea how you found out about this…” He’ll have to bug the heck out of Pilar for not telling the rogue sooner. Maybe she did after the fight and Reginae had forgotten in the haze of healing magics. “She’ll tangle in her own tail to scurry back to her precious city….and this’ll be just another bad mark on her rule. It’s perfect. You’re a genius!” Whatever random portion of claw or crusher he can reach, he’ll brandish a grandiose kiss (dramatic ‘mwah’ sound included) before stepping back and grinning that devilishly handsome grin of his. “Remind me to properly repay you when this whole ordeal has come to an end. The naga will appreciate having their city back from this tyrant. Maybe my scientist can do you some good in the meantime.”

Kreekitaka rippled his paddles and clenched his facial crushers again in gratitude. "Oh, beyeev me, his work is necessary for HHHTHis pyan TAH!oo even be workabo aTAH! ao." If Muzo wasn't able to assist with his anti-fear potions, his people would be too cowardly to even mount their dinosaurs. This would get them back into the fight, and allow the uyeer to demonstrate precisely why Kree had dominated nearly every battlefield he'd found himself on. "If you are abo TAH!oo be here, I recommenDAH! iTAH!--you can see preciseyee whaTAH! our ayiance has given you." He considered his people to be a nigh-unstoppable force, and with the help he was acquiring from multiple sources, he was certain that Jaize's naga would be scattered to the winds. Time, however, was not on their side, and he knew that. "Io see you upon HHHTHe concyusion of ao HHHTHis, if noHHHTHing ess."
