RP:Kasyr pitches the Gamorg Raid to Ranok

From HollowWiki

Kasyr hops along the jagged stones protruding from the trench, rubble serving as temporary footholds. Eerily enough, the blood is in fact following after the Revenant, running slick in the Revenants wake- up until he finally stops in front of Ranok. It's only than that the Kensai dispells both the vambraces that had formed upon his arms, and pulls his goggles back up onto his forehead, apparently certain that the time for fighting had come to an end, "Bonne Soir, Monsieur. How do you do? Et, that bit of Frivolity aside- do tu have a moment?"

Ranok had taken his helmet off, by that point. Duster and man were streaked with all sorts of grim. Identification of them was best left to the imagination then certainty. He gives a dry bark, "Time. Heh." He nods a little, mostly to himself, "Yah, vell. Hy hef liddle but time, now. Vat iz it hyu needed to schpeak uf?" A hand runs through his hair. It was already a mess and had helmet head.

Kasyr plants a hand on his hip, a casual glance given towards the Trench- with a slightly more fixed one given to the 'red carpet' that's creeping after him. With a look of mild perturbation, the Kensai steps in it a few times, before shuffling away from it again. The puddle of blood, on the other hand, simply splashes, than sits there. Until the Kensai stops focusing on it, as it starts to creep again. "Two things, really- the one es something I -need- you to do, et the other es something I would like your help with. The first one, es I intend on giving Vuryal a bit of..food for thought. Essentially, I'm going to need to borrow a few of your more...mobile forces. The secondary thing es in regards to this whole..wraith issue. I might have a potential...'cure' as it were. Well, it could work, en fait. Though it would require a bit of work et research et refinement on your part. Interested?"

Ranok frowns at the puddle of blood. He had no idea what the hell. But as long as it stayed the hell away from both him and the city he was slowly beginning to think of as 'his', he was willing to let it lie. "Doze fliers saved de kity today. Vile Hy kan' say no, given dat dey are yous in de first place, Hy vould like to know vy, und vat, hyu hef in mind." When Kas mentions the potential cure, Ranok's head tilts, "A kure? Effort iz beink made into researchink de virus. Henny information or insight hyu kan provide vould likely let us advance dat much qvicker. Vat do hyu hef?"

Kasyr grins a bit, "Well, I'll start with the cure first. It's a fairly simple idea, vraiment. Though a dragon has succumbed to the sickness..they have for the most part displayed an immunity to, effectively, every other disease. Magical or otherwise. So, I have to wonder if, peut-etre, one could ..try et purify the elements within their blood that are in charge of combatting maladys. Ou if another of those cures could be found...perhaps several...Getting one infected- et than curing it to see if it generates a..er. quoi ce soit. An immunity to it, like they have developed to Vampirism, et lycanthropy." Apparently, either the Kensais' been doing some reading, or he's gotten a touch of inspiration due to collected knowledge of those people he had consumed. With a shrug, the Kensai simply makes a gesture across the trench, the blood around him momentarily flowing in that direction, before snapping back- slowly starting to coil around his feet. "Well, Gamorg, given they just finished exhausting their troops- would likely prove vulnerable to a ...poke, at this current moment. A strike force to perhaps..sever their connection to Kreghus. Maybe demolish food supplies so they are forced to change locale. Raze living structures. The sooner the better, given they will still be licking their wounds, en fait."

Ranok stops dinking around and puts on his thinking cap. Kasyr was correct about the dragons, "It iz onusual dat dragons kan succumb to dis disease und not odders. But, vat goot vould purification do? Dragons are obviously able to be infected. In tryink to find a kure, de only route de blood uf a dragon kould tell us vat its doink differently. Und, frankly, de medical knowledge for differentiation iz faurly out uf de reach uf dis locus." A finger taps his jaw. This indeed was out of the tenuous grasp of diseases that Hollow possessed. Microscopes, bacterial infections, the list went on and on about 'things they didn't know.' He exhales in a single burst, "Hy vill brink up de avenue uf investigation to my men schtudyink it." By men, he meant Kumo. But it sounded swankier to give a plural to it. "Hy don' hef intel on de numbers in Gamorg. Frankly, Hy belieff dem to be greater den dis. It vas a minor eksursion. Child's play. His losses vere schtaggerink vere ours vere merely significant. A total rout on his end. Vich leads me to vonder vy dey vere so poorly lead. No ufficers vere in dat battle, givink orders. Hy hed marksmen vatchink for dem."

Kasyr grins a bit towards Ranok, "Mais, that es the curious part, monsieur- there -had- been occurances of vampiric dragons et other things. Once upon a time, but no longer. They developed a resistance, an immunity, enfin. Et it spread to the rest. J'en sai..er, I don't know how- but, It es an interesting factor, no? If it's cured- perhaps this...factor may in fact spread once more." From there, the Revenant simply tips his head forward...if only to stare at the blood crawling up his leg. He didn't get any particular sensation of foreign magic coming off of it, or emotions- so it didn't seem to be some form of...hemomancy shenanigans. With an irrate sigh, the vampire simply bends down to begin trying to wipe the blood off of himself. "Er, as for the attacks, et bien- Gamorg es not known for an airforce. Were we to head -away- from the island...peut-etre take cover in the clouds...et than dive upon the area, we might be able to close the distance before an alert was made. From there, a tactical strike on the mines effectively hinders reinforcements from Kreghus, an action that will be reinforced by my terramancer. Last, but certainement not least- we'll work to devastate the forces within. A quick sweep of the area should allow us to wound and destroy their forces et resources. We than simply withdraw. Short, but sweet."

Ranok lifts his brow, slightly, "Is dat true...? Interestink. Hy vonder...vonder if such an immunity kan be...encouraged. Interestink, indeed..." The wheels in his head click. "Find a fast breedink draconic schpecies...introduce de vraith virus to dem in levels, breed breed breed. In a relatively schort time, hyu might end up vith an immunity. Or...vun kould try to magically enforce an immunity upon dem. Magic vith magic?" He was musing, at this point. He returns to reality at hand, "As for Gamorg...no. Today, Hy em konfident dat no aerial force eksists in de Parasite's possession, saff doze ancient dragons und de tvo headed vun. Und de vraith today vas trounced, in every sense uf de vord. Before hyu take de fliers...send in a scout. Poke around, a tad. Find a delicate place to put de knife in."

Kasyr is currently rather busy trying to peel the blood of his -arms- now, seeing as his efforts at removing it from his leg have simply served to get it smeared and crawling up his body faster. Curiously enough, once it's on the vampires arm, it simply stops moving- seemingly 'satisfied' with massing up around the portion of his arm that's wounded. Doubly curious is the fact that the vampire doesn't quite feel as 'sore' in that particular location anymore. With a curious glance, and a hand warily outstretched over the location in case he needs to fry it, he simply waits. He does, after all, have the luxury of converting more of himself into energy so as to effectively...clear himself of this, if need be. If it's not drinkable. "Et bien, if tu can get one to reproduce the desired trait, et perhaps....transfer it to wild dragons? J'en sais pas. The important thing es to get one that it develops in, so that tu can than take what it produces to cure others. ..Obviously, this will not function with vampires or wolves- but for those others? It provides them something -other- than a guaranteed death." A pause, and the hybrid idly adds, "How many people do you have, or know, that don't need to breathe enfin. Or..do tu have anything that might serve to..aid someone in breathing in difficult climes. ...Anything to protect from the cold as well, would be good."

Ranok shakes his head, "Hy hef no ondead. A breaddink apparatus iz in de vorks. Vould Hy hef it ready by tomorrow? No. Not even klose. Gimmee a veek, und enough free time, maybe. Ontil den, Hy hef very liddle in terms uf man power to giff. If Hy kould giff at hall." He looked a little pissed off, "Every soldier lost here today vas valuable. Beyond de simple applications on de vorth uf a human life. Hy do not tink in such terms, in var. But each man und voman lost vas vun less pair uf hends. Dere are fev to begin vith, kompared to vat aligns against us. De Doorknockers, too, are trash. Dat aceed ate der joints so much dat de metal iz schtressed. Hy kan tell chust by lookink. It vill reqvire time to overheul und refit dem. Dis attack kan buy me time. Hyu vant fire bombs? Eksplosives? Chemicals or veaponry? Hy kould giff doze more freely. But men, Hy hef too fev to dole out. Even for dis. De fliers hyu supplied vill hef to do. Luckily, der numbers vere not tinned. Kasualty rates vere a scant hendful. Rotatink dem deed de trick against de rain." Things were not so grim that they should dig their graves to save time, but nor were they sunshine and butterflies, either. "As for de dragons...perheps. Kross schpecies breedink iz hit und miss. Even viddin related schpecies. Hy'll look into it. Find me zumddink vith a dragon's immunity dat kan breed in veeks, und Hy'll be able to kook zumddink up. Ontil den, attemptink to introduce de virus in chosen subjects in schtages vill likely chust giff us a schlow motion vraith. Hy hef my suspicions about how it operates." Despite its week long incubation period, Ranok figured it 'killed' too fast for the body to fight. It spreads, and then all at once, overwhelms. But, so did Polymoprhic Hemophelia, better known as vamprism. So there was hope.

Kasyr isn't sure whether to glower or glee at the peculiarity of the blood currently on his arm- one eye quirking up as it began to flood the wound- the blood seemingly getting processed by his body and converting to flesh and muscle tissue. The moment the process is finished, the blood simply ceases to cling- sliding off the vampire like water across wax. With a particulariliy -long- stare directed at the blood, the Revenant finally draws his attention back up to Ranok, "Ask Satoshi, about dragons. I kill them, I don't particularily study them, all that much. As for the explosives et such- well, Having some shipped to frostmaw might be nice. I could certainly think of something to do with those."

Ranok exhales, "Hy'll giff hyu de formula, instead. If dey're not beink used right avay, Hy vant to heng onto dem. Blowink de entire kity into rubbel hain't out uf de qvestion, right now. De Marigold Bridge hes been prepared. It kan be blown at henny time." The glances at the blood, too. Still had no idea what the hell it was doing. Likely, he wouldn't. But the strangeness and the harmless nature were both noted and stored for later research, should be be inclined.

Kasyr nods, before simply turning away and meandering off towards the shipyard. He did, after all, have an undoubtedly pissed off black dragon to deal with. "Much obliged, et I'll see you later, then. As I do believe this concludes are business. Be sure to forward it to Frostmaw."

Ranok gives a shrug, "Very vell. Try to keep de fliers in vun piece for me to keep usink, eh?" And he'd return to the task of directing rebuilding and reorganization in the city.
