Part of the Returning Niawtu to Vuryal Arc

Summary: Ilydia decides it is time to summon Vuryal to meet with him.

Characters: Ilydia, Vuryal, Akalamdug

LOCATION: In the hidden shrine, In Kelay Tavern

Within the shrine

Ilydia stared at the girl. She could tell the girl was key to finding Vuryal, yet she would make ilydia sad if she allowed Vuryal to have the girl. On the other hand, ilydia would likely be dead if she didn't. This could prove troublesome. ~:Child, stay hidden, don't listen, don't look, go to sleep or something. Not that it will do much good anyways.:~ Ilydia passed Niawtu more of the milky liquid as she nudged a coffin towards Niawtu, obviously expecting the lycan girl to climb inside. Dealing with Vuryal would be tricky business without the lycan girl doing odd things. Ilydia had suspected and Niawtu had confirmed. She didn't -want- to return the girl to Vuryal, but there seemed no other way and even with the girl, the meeting could have dangers. She had prepared herself, allowing for ilydia to sleep more so that the power would be conserved, but that was no guarantee. She waited for Niawtu to act, obviously expecting some form of haste.

Niawtu frowns, under her black mask, at the milky liquid and the coffin. "What's going on?" she asks suspiciously. Soon she shakes her head and says "I have a strong feeling you're trying to fake my death... But, considering you're the one with the weapon..." soon she takes off her mask, sets it on the table, and removes her black robes, showing that she is wearing a pure white dress and matching pants underneath. She takes her belt and puts it about her waist, putting th Archmosian Daric in her pouch. Eek was sitting on the table, but he could take care of himself just fine. Soon Niawtu takes the liquid and drinks it, and then lies within the coffin. Soon the child is asleep, her pale/ gray skin -did- make her look rather dead, though she isn't.

Ilydia checked Niawtu before covering the coffin, hiding it in a pile of rubble but making sure that the girl could breathe-should she have a need to. It honestly would not do much good against the one she planned to deal with, but she figured that if the man had really wanted to take the girl away without her will, he could have done so at any time. Ilydia drew her breath in carefullyt as she shouted out, "Vuryal! I have a pressing need to speak!"

Vuryal erupts into the scene, the blackened mist much larger than normal as the fiend appears upon the top of one of the heads of a mighty dragon, the rest of the pet outside the temple, obviously. "Who calls for me?"

Ilydia looked at Vuryal with care, "I do, you who are called the lord of time. I have need to speak with you. I believe I have what it is that you seek, though in addition to the bounty, I would ask of thee a boon, or perhaps three. I know it is not much for someone such as yourself to give a few boons out."

Vuryal glides down off the top of his dragon's head, landing effortlessly upon the temple's floor. The dragon then disappears, summoned away by its master. "You ask something of me? Ha. Who are you to do such a thing?"

Ilydia looked down, politely before Vuryal, "I am nobody important, merely the one who went to save your wraithling. I trust that though you might not say it, your wraithling is worth more than a mere fifty-thousand gold, or am I wrong that what belongs to you is worth far more?"

Vuryal laughs at the thought. "Do you really wish to find out? Consider it a gift that I'm even giving money for the wraithling. If I really wanted, I would simply kill whoever has it. Do you wish for me to do that instead?"

Ilydia smiled, "I had no doubt in my mind that should you want, you could kill many things, but what is to say that you will not get something out of giving me a few inconsequential boons? After all, one of my boons would help get back, if only slightly, at one of those on your list."

Vuryal said, "Continue..."

You noted that Vuryal obviously now had some interest, "Don't kill me when I say this, you'll enjoy what I have planned more... I am the spawn of Kasyr, the vampire revenant. However, he has, to say violated my own personal terms with him. I need these boons to return the favor in good time. My first boon, would be to be turned into a wraithling in the future, soon after he has given me the power he promised. My second boon is that you release me of your control within a week of beginning the process to turn me into a wraithling. That is not to say I will not serve you of my own free will, but it will be easier to stay close to him if he does not suspect. My third boon is for any information on any item that could help me fight him. Three small boons, but could you imagine the pain Kasyr would feel to be betrayed by his own family? Then again, he betrayed me first, so it is merely punishment. Imagine for a moment, one of your enemies in delightful pain." Ilydia smiled now, her hunger growing. "All for three boons that you probably would barely need to lift a finger for."

Vuryal laughs at the presentation brought forth by the woman. "A spawn of Kasyr that wishes to destroy him. How quaint! But what makes you think that Kasyr is an enemy of mine? He is merely a gnat upon the ass of a mighty elephant. But, nonetheless, I shall consider aiding you in your plight." Here, the chronomaner pauses, turning his gaze towards the golden stone atop his staff, peering upon its brilliance with unwavering attention. "The process for a wraith is one I cannot change. If you wish to be one, you will follow the traditions of old. Understood?"

Ilydia nodded to Vuryal, "I will follow the traditions to the best of my ability, but that is for a later date, I should hope, unless you wish to give me the means to become one, Kasyr will suspect if I become a wraith before he gives me the power. With the power, I can at least fake that it is merely the power." Ilydia paused for a moment, a small thought in her head, "A gnat is a great enemy to elephants, could you imagine the constant buzzing? It would make an elephant wish to murder the gnat and every other one of the kind. Still, you are correct, perhaps the word is annoyance."

Vuryal said to you, "Annoyances are dealt with in their own way. So, if you wish to become a wraith, you must wait until I decide to release you on my own accord, not your begging."

Ilydia thought about it for a moment, "So long as Kasyr does not suspect anything, that should be fine. I just hope that you will choose to release me early enough that I may enjoy it."

Vuryal grins. "I'm sure you won't even worry about this arrangement when it's all said and done. Now, where is my creation?"

Ilydia paused for a moment before she remembered, "Also, there are two others who assisted me in reaching the girl though they merely want the funds. I know I won't, I have watched you and the creation for quite some time." Of course, Ilydia did not just speak but walked calmly towards the hiding spot before she moved the rubble away from the coffin box and opened it. "To hide her from those who may seek her harm, I have her here, intact, possibly more so than when I found her." Ilydia smiled at Vuryal then, "Would you be willing to grant me the third boon?"

Ilydia paused for a moment before she remembered, "Also, there are two others who assisted me in reaching the girl though they merely want the funds... I know I won't, I have watched you and the creation for quite some time." Of course, as she spoke, she too walked calmly towards the hiding spot before she moved the rubble away from the coffin box and opened it. "To hide her from those who may seek her harm, I have her here, intact, possibly more so than when I found her." Ilydia smiled at Vuryal then, "Would you be willing to grant me the third boon?"

Vuryal speaks towards Ilydia, watching her every motion, especially towards the coffin with supreme interest. "I will give you the third boon when I procure it. I shall have it within a matter of days. And where are these others?"

Ilydia nodded, "One, her name is Sarah, usually stays within the Kelay Tavern. Another, who names himself Priest, usually stays near also, though for different reasons. They are likely asleep now."

Vuryal shows no outward sign of care towards the answer to his question. "Show me the wraithling," he commands, his voice solid.

Ilydia took care to scoop Niawtu from under her, carrying her like a knight would a princess. Ilydia concentrated as she moved, carefully turning towards Vuryal, effort made to keep Niawtu in her arms instead of on the floor.

Vuryal grins within the darkened hallows of his shadow cloak that hangs loosely over his face. "You have done well. Now, take her to the tavern in Kelay, and I shall deliver your money to you there."

Ilydia nodded quietly, as she began to move, "You do not wish to take her now?"

Vuryal shakes his head. "No. I want the world to see that no one is safe from me."

Ilydia nodded once more with a semblance of a curtsy as she left, carrying Niawtu in tow. She would have to remember to bring a disguise, a mask or two perhaps.

Kelay Tavern

Ilydia entered with a careful cloth on top of a large package she carried in her arms, with a mask on her face and robes covering every part of her body. She moved slowly towards the one she knew as Priest and whispered to him.

Vuryal said to Ilydia, "Bring me what is mine."

Ilydia moved towards Vuryal, before kneeling before him for a moment as she lifted up her 'package' for Vuryal to take should he choose.

Vuryal reaches forward to remove the cloth atop the "package", revealing Niawtu's face. "Very good. You have done well. Your prize." And with that, a VERY large bag appears before Ilydia.

Akalamdug watches Ilydia deliberately. He is impressed by her performance in all actuality. The priest stretches his thin arms behind him, frail hands clasped professionally behind the undead's back. He grins at Niawtu. So this is the Thrall then. She is not his concern however. Only his reward as the 'mastermind' being coveted.

Niawtu was very much knocked out, but it would be clear that her wraith virus was made dormant. Vuryal would probably feel an odd force pushing out from her right forearm, where a shaman had replaced her 13 brand with an ice-blue Hexagonal Fractal seal. It could only keep other wraiths away, but not the fiend. She doesn't seem to stir through any of this conversation.

Ilydia moved carefully, using her feet, she began pushing the gold first to herself, then between her legs. Still holding the lycan girl, she grimmaced and looked at Priest for a moment, as if hinting that he should take his share. Still, she kept Niawtu in her hands, not willing to allow any harm befall the girl from anyone but herself or Vuryal. She would give him that much respect for he deserved it.

How it is clear that the virus is dormant in her is, quite simply, that her skin is pale as the snow once more, rather than dark gray.

Vuryal moves the amber stone staff towards Niawtu, allowing it to dip and allow the gem to lightly touch Niawtu. In an instant, she is gone. "I believe our transaction is done."

Ilydia nodded to Vuryal, her eyes still looking at where Vuryal had made Niawtu disappear in but an instant, "Yes, it seems the deed is done."

Vuryal takes a step back, phasing out of view as he is no longer needed here.

Derry walked into the tavern slowly, still not entirely awake, so he didn't really have a grasp on what was happening in the tavern, he just happened to notice that both Jolie, and Vuryal were here. And Niawtu was there, for a second, a quiet,"...Damn, there went a big pile of gold." escaped from Derry's lips as he made his way to the bar, waiting for the events to further themselves.

Akalamdug watches the event stoically. He has no intention of making any audible response towards the affair. The priest finds one of his long fingers stroking his pale chin. Watching Vuryal vanish, he turns his attention to Ilydia, expectant gaze lingering for a moment.

Ordox smirks at the transaction, making a few steps toward Ilydia, careful not to insinuate that he would be going after the gold, "That was quite the service you did."

Ilydia picked up the pile of gold with her now free hands, eyeing it carefully and suspiciously, as she pondered in thought. ::Why is this copper yellow? I suppose that is what this gold stuff is, painted copper. Pointless if you ask me.:: Still, she wasted no time and first moved to Priest, handing him his share of the gold. Then with a glance at Ordox, she smiled softly, "I only did what was natural for me."

Akalamdug slings the weighty bag over his shoulder, bouncing lightly on the tips of his booted toes before the priest settles his heels back onto solid ground, and bending the tip of of his hood in mock curtsy towards Ilydia. Spindly legs carry him from the tavern now, his business concluded, and a small fortune at his disposal now.
