Vailkrin City Road

Among those watching Larewen's public humiliation is Lady Collete Nasar. And when Elioyahazer bested his master, she found herself sneering. Cold blue eyes watch as the crowd disperses, as Larewen rises to her feet and turns southward, no doubt to drown her defeat in bloodwine--oh yes, Collete knows of the woman's fondness for drink. For a moment, she contemplates entering after the weakened vampire and finishing the necromancer herself, but there is another opportunity present: one that fits House Nasar's ways far more. Separating herself from those around her, Collete follows Elioyahazer and makes no attempt to disguise her steps. She wants his attention.

Elioyahazer isn't quite sure what to think about what had just happened. He assumed Larewen would have won, but that wasn't the case. Every step is a reminder of that fight - sending a wave of agony through his flesh. The desert born hobbles on, beyond the crowd and away from where Larewen will probably spend the night drinking. God's he could go for a drink right now. Elioyahazer takes a few more steps and realizes that he is being followed by someone completely unknown to him. Am I going to have to fight again? His frame comes to a halt and mutated eyes shift to the lady. “Evening.” He gives her a once over, expecting her to state her business, he is injured after all and needs to see to it.

Collete watches his movements, coming to a stop when he does. Her gaze finds his quickly when he turns to face her, and her painted lips still hold that sneer. "You look like you've had better. Tell me, how does it feel to turn on your master?" she asks, her voice lilting. She closes the distance, not once moving her eyes from those mutated ones. There's genuine curiosity in her tone, for thus far she's been unable to defeat Dragana. "You two certainly had fun killing my agents the other night. Tell me, why did you choose her in the first place? Of all the Houses, of all the vampires, why that madwoman?" Her questions are leading to a point, one which Collete hasn't chosen to make just yet.

Elioyahazer would love nothing more than to take his sword, and stick the pointy end right into this wordy woman's mouth and watch her choke on the blood. Though these vicious thoughts do not smear or stain the otherwise stoic features of his visage. Larewen a mad woman? Wait till everyone sees what he has planned. What would the rumors say about him in time? “To be honest she was chosen, because she was present. I know very little about Vailkrin and it's houses. But Latewen, turned on me with that bounty.” Eli had no reason to lie about his personal feelings on that matter. It could have been any vampire, but she was there. As for having fun killing her guards? He definitely enjoyed it. This woman just sounds sore. What exactly did she want from him? Wait a moment, her guards? “You're of house Nasar?” Finally it clicks. Perhaps she was just here for vengeance.

Collete chuckles softly. So Larewen was not a first choice, but rather a choice of opportunity. "She has turned against all vampire kind," the woman says, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. "Shame really. She had a lot of potential. Now she just wants us all dead. Her empire of dirt, you could say. That's all that will be left if she gets her way." Collete knew she was talking a lot; more so than she normally does, even. Her head cants to the side and she looks down her nose at the male. "But you've just defeated her. Why leave it at that, when she's put a bounty on all our heads?"

Elioyahazer fails to see how Larewen has turned against vampire kind. Even with the bounty she placed it's merely to weed out the weak and he was never actually upset with her for it. He shifts on foot slightly, adjusting how he carried his weight. However, the illusion that he is at odds with Larewen looks all the more real for how's he's chosen to go about this. Act now, ask for forgiveness later, that sort of jazz. “What would you have me do instead?” This woman obviously wants to use Eli as a tool, and he knows it. Let's see how far it goes. “I'm houseless, without protection. Without knowledge of the politics of Vailkrin. Ending her in that fight, could have brought all the houses down on me.”

Another bout of laughter follows Elioyahazer's words, but it is void of any warmth or genuine amusement. "Do you really think the houses would have come down on you for ending that wretched woman?" Collete asks. "You would've done us all--or most of us anyway--a favor. What she seeks... will bring ruin upon us all. The last thing we need is this war she's wrought. Outside forces have no place here in Vailkrin, and if she gets her way, that's exactly what will happen. You asked if I'm from Nasar. I -am- Nasar. And I've a job for you, if you're willing to do it."

Elioyahazer let's a smile tug at the corners of his mouth. So he found the big rat, mamma Nasar. The fates are too good at their jobs. He mulls over her words for a moment. “Before talking to you, I believed so.” This is his response to her comment about the houses coming down on him. “They still could,” he adds nonchalantly. When she mentions the job, Eli lofts a single brow. “I'm listening.”

Collete lifts her shoulder slightly, shrugging. "They could, if you turn out to be a threat to our stability. I happen to think you to be the opposite. Take down Larewen, and we'll know peace again." Namely, House Nasar could return to their usual work. Running the streets of Vailkrin under the charade of a merchant house. Collete brought a single finger upward, tappiing her temple as if she's brilliant. And perhaps she was: the chance to bring Larewen down with her own fledgling is comedic, after all. "Take her down. Take her down, and I'll see to it that you know wealth beyond measure."

Elioyahazer might not seem to be a threat to stability, because that is by design. To lurk within the danger that seeks to wipe you out, only to spring your own trap and swallow the danger whole. The sandman makes no show about calculating his standings, and for the briefest of moments says nothing. Finally, he shifts once more. “Then consider me hired.” His eyes shift to hers for a moment. Money wouldn't actually win his favor. Larewen granted him something so much more; a new way to live. His loyalty, despite earlier actions still belonged to her. This whole thing a mad scheme of his own creation. What's worse is that he didn't tell Larewen. “I can begin to strike back after seeing to my leg.”

Collete eyes him carefully, his readiness and willingness to further his turn against his master not lost on her. She's suspicious, but the pros outweigh the cons: Elioyahazer could be dealt with after the bigger threat was taken care of, if it came down to that. "See to your leg, then," the vampire matron said, coolly. "Here's the directions to the House; we'll offer you lodging as long as you're working for us." As she spoke, she withdrew a small piece of paper and something with which to write. Scribbling down the address, she held the leaflet out to Elioyahazer. "And know that we're watching you."
