Characters: Ilydia, Miah

LOCATION: Outside Kelay Tavern

Miah :: A white wolf with a black stripe about its neck, much like a necklace, limped through the town of kelay. Deciding to take a rest in the light filtering out from the taverns windows, she lays down and looks back at her right hunch. A patch of red blood matted the hair there, its color darkening at the extremities where it had dried. Miah's natural ability to heal was working slowly and the wolf didn't understand why. Thinking to help it along she begins to clean the wound with swipes of her pinkish tongue.

Ilydia slowly crept from the shadows , sliding through the door so silently yet quickly that it had appeared as if it had never moved, almost as if she never was. The shadow moved into a corner where she sat down, watching her surroundings. Her eyes stared coldly at what was around her. Though recently she had agreed with another to search for the truth, she still had qualms of being so close to so many. She eyed a wolf that came nearby and wondered what was wrong with it. Still, she was extremely wary for something within her warned her that such creatures ate flesh. Yet, something made her not so wary of it. She could sense the pain from the wolf. She carefully picked up a small handful of dust, ready to run. Her soft voice came, sending a wave of calm into the air as she spoke those words that came like sweet juice with honey warmed by a campfire, bringing in the sense of friendship, "Little wolf, little wolf, how be you there? Is the wolf in pain? Should we seek help?" She paused for a moment, before hitting her head slightly with a bent finger. "Ah, wolves don't speak the same words." She was quiet then, as if pausing to think.

Miah ears perked up at hearing another voice, her head soon following. The growl was stopped in her throat when she recognized the gentleness in the other voice, yet the untamable part of her wolf remained tense. Greens eyes try to pierce the shadowy darkness to no avail, the brief sound of the woman's voice only giving a general area.

Ilydia slowly moved towards the wolf, her form slowly appearing. Her blood-red eyes stared at the wolf and her silver hair swayed, brushing along her dress, her torn dress that made her look like an orphaned child abandoned. In her hand was a small pink bunny which she held close to her body like a child. Her neck was ringed with a small collar that seemed to be frayed and worn. Her small stature, that of a child, and her clothes made her appear poor and helpless. Yet, she carefully moved towards the wolf before she spoke soft words that were not quite words but instead were pure emotions. Pure emotions flowed through the air as the sounds came from her mouth; small waves of emotions and feelings passed through those around her. "Sadness, Help, Pain, Help, Pain, Help, Sadness, Help, Calm, Pain, Calm, Desire, Calm." Those emotions flowed through several times, in the same order. Finally, she stopped as she stared at the wolf as if asking if it understood her.

Miah 's intelligent side understood, but the wolf became skittish and scared, rising anger, asserting dominance. It whispered its unease, warning of danger. However, the fore had greater sway over the later and would not let her rise to cloud her mind in this matter. Her head nods slightly to convey her understanding to the one who looked as a child, but smelled of to many years for its truth. Miah turned her green eyes to her wound, still seeping blood for all that she had cleaned in a few moments before.

Ilydia looked at the wound. She appeared in thought for several moments before she moved closer to the wolf. Slowly, she moved her hands towards the injury, slowly as if afraid, cautiously, ready to run at any moment. Her eyes began to close as if her mind was slipping. And her feelings began to flow to the wolf with even more strength as she then, in return, began to take in the feelings of the wolf. As time passed, she drifted closer and closer, her eyes now vacant. Slowly, blood appeared on her dress, slowly spreading for her power was not that of healing but that of absorbing the feelings of others while sending hers. And thus the injury did not go away but was instead moved, shifted little by little. Even now, the wound upon the wolf had not fully closed.

Miah :: As feelings that where not her own began to run rampant through her body and mind, the rational part began to slip and the wolf instincts grew. Fear, anger, nervousness, pain dulled by time, then an intense flare of hatred not born from the one before her. The wolf scrambled to her feet, the wound only half way healed, and dashed off into the shadows of the night. 'Escape...Kill them all...rise from the ashes' where the repeated thoughts than ran through Miah's mind. The morning would find a naked woman curled up in an abandoned alley way.

Ilydia :: The sudden break of the bond sent Ilydia back awake and aware as she crumpled to the ground in pain, her breathing heavy as her sight wavered. Tears rolled down her cheeks as her consciousness faded.
