Music from a flautist sitting in the corner greets your ears as you enter. The smell of old and new liquor rushes into your face, making you reel for a few seconds. The bar to your West is an enormous hunk of wood carved out of what looks to be a tree from the swamp North of here, and has been sanded and buffed to a glossy shine. High stools stand in front of it, occupied or waiting for an occupant. The main floor area is taken up by small tables on which card games are being played. This seems like a nice place and you stay for a drink or two. When you leave here your choices are North, to Gualon Way; or South, to Arena Avenue.

Greux and several of the orc and Ogre that follow were inside the grogshop this time of day. There previous night had yielded no results in who was killing their brethren and leaving them on the streets. Most of them were on edge, Greux however was not. He sat tearing into a fresh piece of hog, something they seemed to have plenty of since all the hogs in Gualon were slaughtered on Tristram's orders.

Vasha slowly enters the shop, her gaze sweeps the room quickly taking in the Orc and Ogres that fill it. Stepping in she raises a hand to her nose and winces, "Oh, the smell." she mutters to herself. Moving to an unoccupied corner table the young mage takes the seat that will put her back to the wall. Greux turns as another enters his tavern. The orc and ogre that fill it would look as well wondering if their champion would allow them to eat this one as he did the last. But the order did not come, instead after finishing another thing of pork he would stand and approach the woman. “Me be Greux, who be you?”

Vasha watches as the Orc approaches and she becomes just alittle nervous. Slipping one slim hand below the table she readies a spell just in case he turns hostile. When he introduced himself the young womans eye's widen in surprise, but she quickly recovers and stammers, "Oh...I...I am Vasha. Nice to meet you Greux." Greux grunts as he eyes the woman who appeared as a human to him. “Why you be here, you no from Gualon.?” Greux seemed to be slightly more intellegent than normal this day. Earlier this morn he had stumbled across a shiny wristband upon the earth and so picked it up and placed it around his stockish wrist. The item had been imbued with wisdom and intellegence. Though to any that spoke with him he still seemed outright dumb, he was the brightest of all Orc in Gualon at this point in time.

Vasha gives a soft chuckle before she answers, "No, I am not from here. I actually am from Kelay, but I travel the lands seachering for books on tattooing." Eyeing the Orc she wonders if he even knows what a book is. Taking a chance she asks, "There wouldn't happen to be a library in this town?"

Greux wonders what this woman means by library or book. It seemed to ring some kind of bell though he could not picture what one was. Then he thought on where he might find one if he was something he didnt know know. “Orc Leader have what Orc dont.” he would nod glad that he had came upon the idea himself. The wristband was feeding its knowledge slowly into the orc, something so dumb would take time to store whatever information the wristband may teach him. Then he would ask, “What be tatoooo?” the word had been weird to say and so trying to wonder what it was he would extend the word beyond its normal speech.

Vasha sighs and rolls her eye's, but holds back her laughter for she didn't want to offend Greux and become his next meal. Extending her slim hand she pulls back her sleeve exposing the runic tattoo cover it up to her elbow, "This is a tattoo Greux." Raising her hand she points at the one surrounding her left eye, "This is one also. have you never seen anything like this before?"

Greux looked at her arm and then her head, “Yes, me see food all time, but no strange lines.” He peered at the writings trying to make sense of them and it was then that the band upon his wrist would upload the information to the beings mind so that he would understand. “Me no tattoo's! But me have none.” The others around him watched curious as to what was happening and each wondered as well what this word tattoo was, some of them tried saying it as well and would chuckle at the new sound that they could make. Vasha listens to the Ogre's try and pronounce tattoo, though they sadly fail at it. Not being able to hold in her laughter it bursts from her lips filling the room. Wiping a tear from her eye she smiles at Greux, "If you'd like I could put one on you that can give you some protection from certain magical spells?"

Greux was surprised at the offer, she offered protection from devil attacks. Soon however this too was clarified in his mind. Magic was not of the demons as he was once taught, but of the land. He looked to the woman and would nod, “Me want deflect nature magic. Me no want magic hurt.” She may interpret this in many ways, the two that were the most obvious were simple enough. Defend him from any elemental attacks, the second to not allow him to feel pain when he should.

Vasha shakes her head, her sable locks caressing her pale cheeks, "That I cannot do just yet. I can only offer you some protection from spells casted at you from a mage." Lowering her eye's she sighs, the failures with her experiments painful to her still. Trying not to let her feelings get the better of her Vasha lets an ironic grin form on her mouth, "When I can perform that bit of magic I shall let you know."

Greux would scratch his head, “No tattoo for Greux? Me want big hammer!”

Vasha pulls back, afraid that she angered the Orc. Combative spells run through her mind just in case this brute decides he wants to make a meal of the young woman. Hoping to keep Greux calm vasha quickly thinks about trying a new tattoo on the Orc, "If you'd be willing I could give you a tattoo of a large hammer and have it give you extra strength? It won't make you very much stronger since I haven't achieved my Master status yet." Greux didnt understand much of what was said, nor did he try to. All he knew was he was getting a big hammer on his body! ( lol. Dont take that wrong). Greux would nod and sit in the orc size chairs that rested at each table. He hoped that this strength would match the raw power of his ogre allies and planned to test it against them later should he gain the chance. Strength was what he needed for with it he could surpass his brother as Champion of Gualon.

Vasha chuckles under her breath, "Ok big guy. Let me prepare myself and my tools." She looks over the Orc's form trying to decide the best place to put it. Rising to her feet she puts her pouch on the table and begins to remove the tools of her trade, ink bottle, needle, and her rune stone. Unstoppering the ink she picks up the needle then delves deeply inside herself, touching the place that hold her magical gift. Sending the power into the stone it flashes argent for a moment before turning the color of newly budded leaves. Turning luminous orbs to Greux, her voice sounds faint, "I shall place this on your arm, please hold it steady while i do this."

Greux held his arm so that she may do as needed. He had never received a tattoo before, so he did not expect anything to happen. He knew that his brother had been given a gift from the shaman that seemed similar to this. He had smelled of burnt flesh for days after. No matter the pain he would do as needed and so gritted his teeth together and tensed his muscles ready for the burning sensation that his brother must have felt. “Greux be ready.”

Vasha doesn't answer for she had become lost in the magic she was about to perform. Lightly she touches the tip of the needle to the glowing rune stone then into the bottle of black ink. Placing one hand on the Orc's shoulder she takes the needle to the flesh on his muscular bicep. The mages motions are repeated over and over, they move from the rune stone to the ink and then to the Orc's arm. Slowly the hammer takes shape with one added thing, Vasha had placed a rune inside of the head of the hammer. This was the major part of the tattoo that would give Greux added stength. Placing the last line to it she takes one step back blinking for a moment coming "back" to herself. Laying the needle down beside her things she picks up a soft cloth and gentally wipes away the blood and excess ink. Giving a nod Vasha smiles, "There you go Greux, I am finished."

Greux winced as the needle would touch his hide expecting unbearable pain. But it was not, the pain was minimal and this made him laugh out loud when she was finally done. To himself he calls his now deceased brother a weakling for there was little to no pain in what was done. Greux stood now and ran a hand over the irritated hide. “Me feel no different?” Soon an ogre that followed the Orc would step forward offering challenge and then it was put to the test. Sitting apart from each other on one of the sturdy tables that was only found in Gualon they took each others hand in preparation for a arm wrestle. Greux would nod to the Ogre and then the Ogre would nod in return. They started, the ogre slowly pushing Greux back towards the table when suddenly the rune on his arm would glow a dull green. Greux began to recover and pushed the ogre back to their default position. Slowly the struggled with each other as the Ogre was now trying his hardest to not go down and Greux was as well. They remained at a deadlock for a few moments before the runes glow would end and Greuxs hand would be thrown to the table shattering it and knocking Greux from his chair. Standing quickly he stared the ogre down, trying with all he had not to kill the being. Then he would turn to the woman, it would seem she may need to explain that its strength is limited, and that perhaps the more its used, the longer he himself can use it.

Vasha puts her tools away all the time watching Greux challenge the Ogre. Realizing what they planned to do she moves a safe distance away, not wanting to get hurt if their test of strengths gets out of hand. When the rune begins to glow she smiles, but still crosses her fingers and hides that hand in the folds of her skirt. "I think it's going to work...it better or I'm going to be dinner." she thinks to herself. As the Ogre smashes Greux's arm through the table and he lands on the floor fear like Vasha had never felt surges through her body, freezing her to the spot. The Orc turns to her and demands what happened. The young woman tries to answer, but at first no sound came from her mouth. Taking a deep swallow she tries again, "I...I told you that it would only give you a small measure of added strength." Swallowing again she works more moisture into her mouth, "I am not very strong in my magic as yet and this is something new I am trying. Give me some time and I can add more to it making it work better." All Vasha could truely think about was being put on a spit and cooked over an open fire as the brute watched and licked his lips.

Greux thought for a bit as he tried to understand her words and then slowly did through the wristband of knowledge. “Me like power it gives, me like more, come back when stronger friend of Orc.” Greux turned and grabbed the Ogres arm and raised it above his own admitting his defeat and the others victory. Words from the crowd would urge them to take it to the Arena and test it further there. But at that the once smiling Ogre would take his hand back and move to a corner of the room, reluctant to battle the Orc again. The others in the grogshop would chuckle in their laughter and Greux would shout to Grargh, “More porc!” Afterwards Grargh would return with more pork and would begin to hand it out to those in the shop.

Vasha gives Greux a sickly looking grin and almost faints when he tells her he isn't mad. Knowing she isn't going to be eaten her knee's turn to water and it's all she can do to make it towards the door and make good her escape. Turning back, one trembling hand on the door she calls back to the Orc, "I shall leave a message here for you letting you know when I'll be here again." Pushing the door the rest of the way open Vasha rushes out, a transportation spell fast on her lips.

Greux gave 3 ruby to Vasha. Greux would hurry forward before she would leave and hand her three of his rare precious stones. These stones were not found in Gualon and so he thought them rare, and prized them beyond most other things. To be given a small bit of these stones would be like a small mountain of gold to the Orc.
