RP:Formal Signing of Alithrya Alliance

From HollowWiki

Objective

Short meeting between Lady Jaize of Alithrya and Jacklin to formalize an alliance between their respective towns.

Actual Meeting

Jacklin stands quietly in front of the door. Hood having been removed from head before approach she unconsciously continued to yank at the back of her hair. Where the armor would have usually been situated. Hand lifted to press against the doors surface, but she did not enter just then. Instead knuckles timidly rapped against the wood in hopes of a proper arrival.

Jaize turned to her companions, allowing them to continue their discussion while she instead goes towards the door. "Yes?" She says, opening the wooden door to meet eyes with the stranger. "Do you seek Lady Cerinii's work?" The naga asks, slithering to encase the doorway with her form.

Jacklin didn’t bother to hide her surprise. After all, she wasn’t one accustomed to the naga people in any way. Clearing her throat several times to rid herself of the awkwardness, Jacklin dipped her head a single time, “I’m not certain I know Lady Cerinii. I don’t think so, at least. I came seeking Lady Jaize.”

Jaize returns the small bow, caught off guard by the woman's words. "I am Jaize," she offers, "What might I be able to do for you...?" She paused towards the end of her question, extending her arm as if to accept the woman's name. Her long tail curls beneath her humanoid torso as the two talk.

Jacklin points an index finger directly against her own chest in a sort of humorous declaration. Though the human was never one of humor, her actions were less than graceful judging by fidgety movements in the face of another noble title holder, “Jacklin. Most people just call me Jack, though. I run things up in Larket.”

Jaize grinned, her fangs poking through her pale lips in grand surprise. "So pleased to finally meet you Lady Larket," A deeper nod given in this new knowledge's shadow. "Please, come in...This is my sister, Cerinii's home. How can I help you?"

Jacklin carefully steps into the house with a polite nod to Cerinii, “Sorry to intrude.” Turning back to the naga she begins to search blindly for a sheet of rolled parchment hidden within her person. Jacklin had clearly forgotten where. So she spoke on, “I received your notice earlier this day and wanted to formalize the alliance if at all possible.” Finally the ribbon-bound sheet was fished from her breastplate and unfurled and extended to Jaize, “I’ve written up a contract if you’d be willing to sign it. Simply states that our alliance is formal and recognized by both sides.”

Jaize stepped out of the way to allow her entrance. "No no, not at all...we were just discussing the removal of a pest or two. Nothing that can't wait a few moments..." The naga's eyes nod towards Cerinii to let her know all was well. "Cerinii, Lady Larket." A brief but directed introduction while her lily white digits extend to take the contract. Slitted optics over look it's contents..

Jacklin eyes Cerinii as she slides out of sight, “Your sister doesn’t seem fond of my presence in the least bit. Apologize to her later for me. It was not my intention to break up bonding time for the two of you.” Eyeing Jaize quietly as she read the paper, small talk continuing onward in the silence, “I send a small troupe of thirty down there moments earlier to take a look for themselves. Just to see what could be accomplished with your city.”

Jaize chuckles lightly, "She's rather politely, my sister...but I'm sure she means no offense. Yes...this looks wonderful. I'm very grateful the help of you and your troops. It is a project I have been attempting alone for far too long...." The Naga looks around, before snagging a quill off a nearby desk. "I'll gladly sign this Lady Larket..." she says, finishing her scrawl. "There..." A pleased look passes her face, how grand a thing is peace.

Jacklin took another look at the Avian stranger before receiving the signed contract with a small half-grin, “Pleased our land is now allied with one another. It should make for an increase in trade for both cities. I also wanted to let you know of the Lich Queen and her intentions. Recently she has been planning on creating a, well, place for herself. I’ve signed on with her and I think it would be a fine move for your own city to contact her regarding the ideas she’s had.” Tucking the contract back neatly into her armor she begins for the door, “Thank you for allowing me inside for the meeting. I’m certain we’ll see one another again.”

Jaize bows quickly in thanks, "I will do just that, I thank you for the advice and the alliance. It's quite good to see that we will be able to benefit each other. I wish you a safe travel home, until next we meet." Jaize politely follows the woman to the door to see her out properly, opening the door before she steps out.

Jacklin issued another cordial tip of cranium at the opening of door before stepping out onto the path and disappearing back toward Larket.
