RP:Firewing and Sayban

From HollowWiki

Firewing smiles as he enters the tavern. He looks around as he brushes off his Gold, Black and Red robes, little grains of sand falling onto the wooden floor. He peers around the tavern, eyeing the current occupants before striding towards the back, where the Bulletin board hangs up, his robes with Golden trim, brushing on the ground only slightly as he walks. He arrives at the board and looks at the many posts, the coarse, Sandy Red hair shining Crimson in the light, and the burning eyes looking greedily for anything in which to get money from.

Sayban is standing near the door when Firewing enters the tavern. She doesn't know why she is here again, but she does know that her feet have brought her here for a reason, a purpose that she doesn't understand yet. Her wings of white silk feathers are folded neatly behind her, looking a lot like a silk cloak. Dressed in a silk gown of white, she dresses like she is the living flesh of good. A white aura makes her body glow like that of a divine creature such as angels. Her arms are crossed and her eyes are lowered to the floor, while white hair hangs around her face, shadowing those grey eyes.

Firewing continues scanning the board until he finds one post near the bottom. He takes it and scans it, smiling at it he straightens himself up and walks down to an empty table, in the middle of the tavern. He takes a seat and reaches inside his robes. He pulls out a three-foot long piece of parchment and a Raven-feathered writing quill, and begins to edit the document he procured. Scratching out words, writing new ones in, and scribbling in extremely fine print every once in a while. He pauses after a few minutes and raises a hand to Nancy. "Nancy! Red wine, if you will!" the waitress nods as she hurries to get him a glass.

Sayban watches the male who has just entered and studies his actions and his movements. What he does and how he does will allow the avian female to understand him better. Red wine was heard coming from his mouth and a brow lifted as a thought came to mind, 'He seems to be sophisticated. But I shan't know until I talk to him and see what he is really about.' She watches him scribble and write on the parchment and even his quill screamed sophistication. She remains at the door entrance, watching him more, before she made her move to converse with him.

Firewing continues to edit another of his "contracts" before he pauses again, tapping the quill on the table. The thought of that post continues to bother him. Speak? About what? And who is this mysterious person? Sighing again, he reaches inside his robes before pulling out another, smaller, more reasonably-sized piece of parchment and begins to write on it. "Hmm...a letter won't do much harm, I suppose..." He smiles as he continues to write, quickly finishing up, before scrolling it up and replacing it back inside his robe's inner pocket, where it came from. As soon as he does so, Nancy brings him a Glass of Red wine. Smiling happily he takes the wine and tosses her two gold coins. "Keep them coming, sweety. I'm parched." he begins to drink the wine, taking sparing gulps, before going to work on his contract some more.

Sayban finally moves from her spot at the door and bare feet covered in stockings carries her over to the table of Firewing. She doesn't approach from the left or right or even behind, she circles around so she walks up to him from the front, a smile on her face and her hands folded together and resting on her body. Her hair has been pushed out of her face to show off her grey eyes and porcaline like skin. "Excuse me good sir, would you mind if I joined you? You see, I am rather lonely and would like someone to talk with." She didn't take the chair, but waited for him to say yes or no. She made sure to make eye contact with him, to show she is really interested in talking with him and that she is not lying.

Firewing stops writing for a minute to look up at the approaching stranger. He looks her over before smiling and nodding over to the seat right next to his. "Sure. I don't mind....As long as you buy your own drinks..." he laughs slightly as he nods to her before continuing to write again. He pauses a minute before looking at her, eyeing her wings, he raises an eyebrow. an Avian? what's one of those doing in a small town like this? "Umm...pardon me, miss...what are you doing in Kelay?..."

Sayban smiles even bigger when the chair is offered. She takes it with little sound and laughs slightly, "No worries. I don't buy drinks from here. I don't trust them." She made herself comfortable, pulling her wings around the chair so she could sit better, "Well, I was once with another avian and I was loyal to him so I followed him when he was banished from one of the sky cities. In doing so, I was considered an outcast after that so when I was of no use to the other avian, I remained here for I cannot go back home without suffering punishment."

Firewing laughs slightly as he looks at her. "Well...It's a Tragedy what happened...you still remain with him?..." he continues to drink from the glass of wine, finishing it off before looking into it. "Damn...Nancy?...More wine, if you please..." the waitress smiles as she comes and collects the glass to fill it with more of the blood-red drink. Firewing, in the meantime stops writing so as to talk with the beautiful young avian who sits next to him.

Sayban frowns and shakes her head, "No. He had no time for me so I left to do my own thing and live my own life. Even my animal companion followed me, but she is flown to warmer lands until winter is over so I miss her dearly." She sighs and pulls a bottle of wine out of her white leather bag, the writing on it in the language of avians. "Brooke is her name and she is a swan dragon. Such a beautiful creature I raised from an egg. An egg that was left all alone."

Firewing sighs and smiles at her. "I'm dreadfully sorry, miss...loneliness is a disease that hides deep in everyone...even me..." he smiles as he pauses, looking down at the parchment. "...I raised myself...I didn't have a companion to protect me or help me through all of those lonely years in the desert..." he shrugs it off as he looks at Nancy, bringing him another glass filled with red wine. Taking it, he begins to drink again, pausing once to set it back on the table. "...Still don't..." he sighs as he gets lost in his thoughts for a second, his eyes darkening as he travels back to all of those lonely years by himself, trying to survive against the Sand Wyrms and other horrors of the nameless desert. A lonely hatchling, crying out for help, and no-one coming.

Sayban looks him in the eyes and smiles lightly, "Well, you got through it and you are now a strong young man with a lot ahead of him. Being lonely has its perks, but that constant longing for a lifetime companion still yanks at the heart. You will find that right girl for you, just as I will find the right man for me." She made a move to rest her hand atop his, but she stopped herself. "So why have you come to Kelay? I know its strange for me to be here and all, but everyone has a story of why they are here."

Firewing laughs slightly as he snaps out of the daze. "Young?...well, I suppose being one-thousand, four-hundred and ninety-nine is young for a dragon..." he smiles at her and nods. "Well...I'm here to continue working on business...I have three transactions to be dealt with in the next four days, so I'm just editing up my contracts..." smiling he writes a few words in extra-small-print, close to the bottom that's barely able to be seen. He looks at her and looks at those wings, beautiful, white, and glowing an absolute pure white. He pauses slightly to think before speaking. "Umm...I'm curious...do you have any skills with defensive Magic?..."

Sayban blinks and turns pink in the face she had forgotten that this man could be anything. "Forgive me. I didn't realize that you were a dragon. I am honored." She lifted a hand to her face to try and hide her mistake, but it soon passed as he began talking again. "I'm a storm druid. I help power storms of snow, water and ice, even the electrical ones that produce no rain. If I have defensive magic in me, I have not discovered it yet." Another pause is given as her face turns pink once more, "How rude of me, I'm Sayban Silkfeather. Normally my name is the first to come up in a conversation."

Firewing looks at her blush and blushes himself, spying how cute she looks when she does so. "err...yes...it's nothing, really..." The Dragon gives out a sigh as his own blush fades. "Drat...I need a good Body-guard..." He then smiles at her again as he introduces himself. "Firewing the Red, Dragon of the Sand. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Silkfeather." he smiles as he holds out his hand to her.

Sayban took his hand with her own, "Please, just call me Sayban. It is a pleasure to meet you, Firewing. I'm sorry I could not be of more help to you. I am no body guard, but just another girl with the love of rain." After her hand is returned to her, she would then leave, "I must go for now, but I hope to talk with you again." She waved her fingers at him, and gave him a wink and an air kiss, to show she enjoyed talking with him.

Firewing laughs slightly as he watches her stand up. "It is not a problem...I'll be here for the next four days if you wish to talk again..." as she gives him the air kiss and wink he blushes, his sun-burned skin turning a deep crimson. "Err...Yes...soon..." he watches her leave, before blinking once...twice...Then shaking his head and grumbling as he hurries back to his work. He couldn't believe himself. Blushing? How could he have gotten along so easily with someone he'd just met? These thoughts filled his head as he hurried back to his work.
