RP:Emilia's Safe Haven in Cenril

From HollowWiki

Emilia had put much progress into her project here in Cenril. So much so the tiny white woman was more black and blue with minor gashes and cuts than smooth white flesh. In old jeans tucked into leather boots and a long sleeve plaid shirt, trying to hide the mass of wounds, the Genasi waited for Desparrow whom she had sent a letter to meet her here at the cliffs. If he was true to his change of heart then he would show ready to see her possible aid to his cause.

Desparrow had little to do at this point in time. The letter had been received and he made sure to set aside time for just this moment. It wasn't long Emilia had to wait until Des came jogging up the rise to meet her. He was much better dressed, at least for the climate they were in. So much more humid and warm than the frozen existence of Frostmaw. "Howdy there." he shouted still quite a distance away though halting when he finally was in front of her.

Emilia was slightly over dressed for the climate, especially with her frozen nature. Des would find himself jogging into an area of chilled air around the Genasi. "Hello there, Desparrow. Glad you got my letter and had time to come all the way out here to meet with me." There was a gentle friendly smile crossing those pale blue lips.

Desparrow hadn't really noticed that Emilia was overly clothed but then again perhaps she felt cold, or was that even possible? Either way that didn't matter. He offered a smile, shrugged away the chill with his beyond natural body heat "I did indeed, and I'm glad to know you were waiting here." he offered her a boyish yet slightly arrogant smile. "What is it that you wantedto show me?"

Emilia pointed to the ground below, "Beneath this cliff there is an entrance to a safe haven that is almost finished. The opening is where the waves crash into the cliff side at high waves. Luckily we are at a low wave crashing since you are not late in meeting me here."

Desparrow nodded, "I see.. A safe haven. Interesting. So perhaps it is there that all the citizens could be evacuated to when the time comes. Essentially, although you may think it is a bad way of going about it.." he sighed, confiding in the woman that he had harmed but a couple years, a few? ago.. "I'm going to assault the city with a group of people, and perhaps an army. I'm going to go for no casualties, try to at least. I can't confide in the mayor, he'd think me crazy and try to have me locked up. No. This will be a war, those whom fight back will be detained but others will usher all the civilians out. The cost of the battle will be just that, a stepping stone to saving this city. Even if we can't save the buildings.. Well if necessary I'll drive out that mermaid and we can start over."

Emilia said to Desparrow, "At least you have a plan on your head. Better than going into anything blind."

Desparrow sighed, he was relieved to know she didn't oppose him. He wasn't going to attack her if she did, just would rather have as many on his side as possible. "Yeah. I don't know how strong this woman is or what she has backing her, or what she is backing but I have every intention of saving this city. Its my home..."

Emilia waved a hand over the side of the cliff allowing a wave of ice start to form in creating a series of stairs leading lower down the side of the cliff. The motion would cause the sleeve to rise and reveal nothing but bad brusing. "Shall we take a venture lower and see what the cliff hides in her belly?"

Desparrow raised a brow. "Surely." he noticed the markings on her but wouldn't say anything yet. They concerned him. "After you however." he would follow her down under, secretly thrilled at the possibilities this would have for him. "You don't know how much this is appreciated."

Emilia nodded and turned her back to the man as she started down the slightly slick steps made of ice. The woman nearly floated over the ice toward the ocean below them where the waves were crashing against the rocks. Stopping before a boulder many times bigger than the small woman the Genasi used a bit of ice wind to open the otherwise hard to tell it was a door door then would vanish inside into a wide cavern with glowing stones to light the ceiling and three tunnel openings. Only when Des was inside behind her would she seal the door shut. "Sorry it is not much, still being finishe yet, but nearly done."

Desparrow followed, keeping up using only a bit of magic to give spikes to the bottom of his footwear. This allowed him safe passage but it was witnessing Emilia's power that truly surprised him. Remniscient of Satoshi's powers, how interesting. Could Emilia hold her own now? If so that was good to know, not that he had intentions of testing it. Stepping inside the passage he heard and felt the door close behind him. The place was magnificent on its own. She had been hard at work. "Is this how you got those injuries?"

Emilia slowly turned to face the man as he questioned her brusing and cuts, "Explosives and small spaces mixed with a small being do not make for the best of endings." Her way of saying yes without saying yes. "If you go down the left most hall there is two rooms off it. One is meant for food storage and the other weapons. The far right tunnel leads to a small bay for medics, even working on getting a patch of herbs to grow. And this..." the white one said as she stated down the black middle tunnel, her stark white hair almost giving a glow in the darkness, "leads to a series of small room as we go down for sleeping and a larger barrack style space beyond and them further in past that a medium side meeting room." The little one stopped in the barrack space that held nothing in it yet. Just glowing stones for some faint lights in the ceiling."

Desparrow was thoroughly impressed. This place had it all even if it wasn't finished, and the space was incredible. He could surely set up here, and perhaps use it as a place for civilians that cant get away in time, or just usher them in here after the fighting has started. Either way it was a valuable asset and Emilia has proven herself more than capable. "I don't know what to say, you've thought of a lot Emilia. I don't know when its going to be, I'm kind of waiting for more support, preferably an army but the moment I have that well... its going to be just that. I don't want to lose this place. I would hate to see it destroyed. Though if the buildings go, at least if the people are here, the history, culture and life of Cenril is safe. We can rebuild. Maybe even better. If that ends up being the case. Well I'd certainly not be afraid to ask of someone so successful. Of course I'm not hoping for this place to get wiped out, this contribution is more than I can ask for. Also I know a woman that could definitely help you with those injuries."

Emilia said to Desparrow, "It is still missing something, cannot place what. I had a terrible dream many weeks ago. The screams and the blood and the death"

Emilia said to Desparrow, "So, I built this. And whom do you think is trusted enough to tend to my bruises?"

Desparrow said to Emilia, "I fear thats what will come of this. I don't want it to, though I can't help but feel that some blood will be shed."

Desparrow said to Emilia, "Lanara, she helped with my ribs, and my burns. I saved her life."

Emilia said to Desparrow, "If I go to Lanara about my wounds she will flip out. I am not a fan of lectures or screams. My children's Aunt is very good at both such things when it comes to injuries. I would never be left alone after that..."

Desparrow laughed, "Nah, I think you'd be fine. She is technically my woman now. I'd let her know you just need a patching up is all. I trust you can do fine on your own. I don't know about in battle but I'd trust you to walk down the streets of cenril alone at night when no guard watching. I think you could take on a guard or two. Those just look a bit much. And if you have yet to go then I'd appreciate it if you saw a healer. I no longer practice the art."

Emilia lifted the shirt she wore to reveal an underweight stomach that was too black and blue along with a deep slightly infected gash. A moments look and the shirt was dropped, "Lanara is like a sister to me and has worked on my Gualon farm for awhile before venturing off to be her ownself. Have not seen her in a good awhile, but if you send her at me for a healing she will freak out. A papercut is more than enough to set her off..and this wound? Much worse. Are you trying to get me into trouble?"

Desparrow covered his mouth before that same hand moved to rub his temples. "I didn't know you were so close. Hmm. I know one other who may be able to help. A girl named Yukiko. I've sensed druidic powers in her. She would probably help upon request. I come across her and she agreed to help with the growing threat to my home. I've gotten assistance from across the land, from Frostmaw, all the way to here. I'm grateful so many are willing to assist me, especially since my reputation is less than great." he chuckled. "Though I'm not trying to get you in trouble. just thought it might work. I can see about Yukiko though."

Emilia said to Desparrow, "A name I do not know. If you can trust her then I will meet with her. And yes, I am nearly one giant bruise from shoulders down, but luckily I am so cold that I cannot feel the pain like most. However, you can tell Lanara that her niece Lynn would greatly love a visit in the near future, sooner the better."

Desparrow smiled wider, "Of course. I can relay the message to both Yukiko, and to Lanara. I'd be happy to in fact. You don't know how much I appreciate this Emilia. It is more than I've been offered by most. Though not many have such resources." he bowed his head in deep gratitude.

Emilia chuckle softly at his bowing, "What else do you expect from a victam of your turture?" The woman moved to ruffle his hair with an ice cold bruised up hand. "I suggest telling Lana that the boys miss her too. She loves all three so dearly I would hate to see someone heart broken." A small smile, "I am not the strongest of creatures and I am not that skilled, but I do have connections. Seems that I have done well in having most all people like me rather well."

Desparrow nodded slowly. "Of course, you have done indeed quite well for yourself." Even with that he winced at the mention of his torture. "I really am sorry. My mind.. it was so clouded back then, I- there are no words that can explain it. A darkness was deep in my mind, a second entity that was devouring me; wanting control of my body and it almost happened. I was saved by a group of psychics that went into my mind, and managed to actually meld it with my spirit. He and I are now one completely. They couldn't destroy him but now that he and I are one I am entirely in control, of myself and with the benefit of his powers."

Emilia pointed back toward the entrance, "Unless you wish to be stuck with me for a night down here we best head back up before the waves get too much for me to open the door again." She said nothing to his revealing, but the look shs gave him in the dim light was more than enough to ackowledge his repeated appology against the pain he caused her. Sore spot, but she was moving past it and making the best out of it. Doing a good job one would say to her befriending and aiding him.

Desparrow sighed, "Yeah.. we had best get going. It makes sense. Tide comes when the moon is out as does my spirit to hunt." he chuckled then, moving towards the door again, but of course waiting for her to go first. He was glad she was getting over it but he would never forget, and neither probably would she.

Emilia met him back at the door that she once more opened with the air of an ever chilled winter wind. Outside and on the ic steps again the door would shut itself behind them. Up the stairs to the cliff once more. Of course, the steps would melt into the ocean when both were both on solid ground. "I cannot imagine life split between twoselves. I wish you the best of travels. I suppose I shall stick around Cenril to meet this healer of yours before going too far out."

Desparrow smiled. "Yes." he had followed obediantly all the way to the top. "I will get in touch with her as soon as I can. I think I'll even go out looking for her now. Though try to enjoy the city. If necessary I have a home south of the beach, a manor that isn't hard to spot. It actually isn't too far from the pier. I fear that it too would be washed away with city should Zirael succeed with her plan."

Emilia said to Desparrow, "I may just make an ice castle to sleep in for the night. Take care and I suppose I shall see you around sometime soon."

Desparrow bowed once more, "Of course. Enjoy your night Emilia. I'll see you around."

Emilia curtsied in return and then was off into the night.
