What can the foul demon-like gods of the surface world be about, to allow the ceiling to leak so

It is about a day or two since his mistress last fed him, and the pitifully thin slave, is beginning to suffer hunger pangs once more. This nightmare surface world has yet another shock in store for him, he is awoken by water falling from that terrible far off unnaturally blue coloured ceiling. It is not the fact that he is now soaking wet, and shivering that is so terrible for poor Wretch. It is that such a phenomenon freaks him out. What can the foul demon-like gods of the surface world be about, to allow the ceiling to leak so terribly the drow worries.

Eklenisec arrives dripping with that rain, the water droplets sliding over her exposed skin, her scales, the ice-rimmed crags in her flesh. "Up," she demands, yanking the drow by his hair sharply, veritably tossing him towards the way out of the cave. "Move." She does not blindfold him like Kesslenic did, does not guide him like the goodly draconian. No, she makes the drow walk for himself.

The drow slave finds the daylight outside the pit terrible, a terrible white-out, blindingly painful, still painfull even with his eyes tightly closed and his palms pressed over them, He walks, blindly in the direction his mistress first threw him. Shivering violently, with cold for sure, but far more from terrible fear of his new, monstrous, reptilian owner.

Thankfully Wretch cannot understand her cruel threat

Eklenisec follows the drow out, a grin on her lips at the drow's discomfort. Good. Let him be uncomfortable. "This way," she snaps, once again grabbing the drow's hair and pulling, harshly indicating the direction she desires. "We're going to go take a walk through the Underdark, boy." Okay, so maybe she's lying. She certainly can't see down there. But she's banking on the fear it will put in Wretch. Or, at least, the fear it would have put there if he could understand Common. But she doesn't let him know of her deception. She still takes him in the general direction of an Underdark entrance.

Mercifully poor Wretch can indeed not understand her words, or he might well have sunk further into the very deepest depths of despair. The possibly years or decades of incredibly brutal torture that await a returned runaway, as a deterrent to any other slave who might dare dream of freedom, is too horrific to imagine. In any case the pathetic Wretch is -plenty- scared of Eklensic as it is, far too afraid to even consider disobeying her. The drow male meekly, blindly walks in the new direction he is cruelly yanked, still shaking pitifully with terror.
