RP:Dergious brutally tortures Sophie the wolf in Kelay

From HollowWiki

Setting

Kelay Tavern

July 2008

A not so quiet drink

Sophie is not looking nearly so ill as she has done of late, but she now looks a mess in another way, practically every visible part of her flesh is covered in bruises, scratches, and what appear to be bite marks. None on these wounds seems to be serious, but there certainly are a multitude of them. Sophie is obviously in some discomfort, but she nevertheless seems relaxed, happy, almost jubilant even! The elf buys a bottle of Whiskey, and some of the finest steak for her wolf companion Mara....

Dergious said to Sophie "Get outside Varmit!"

Sophie turns to looks at Dergious. "I have as much right to drink in this Tavern as anybody else!" she replies sharply. Mara growls at Dergious warningly.

Dergious grins at sophie and turns his back. Shielded from her and her wolf's eyes, the dwarf pulls a beef sausage and slips some deadly nightshade deep within it. He turns and tosses the laced beef sausage to the wolf.

Mara is poisoned

Sophie watches Mara run towards the sausage, the wolf takes it in her mouth, but then immediately spits it out again, the poor creature, begins retching, seemingly about to vomit all over the floor. Sophie goes pale and begins to shake, violently. Mara, glances, towards Sophie and emits a shap warning bark, as the wolf's sensitive nose detects, the begining of the change in the newly turned Lycan. Mara then begins actually vomiting onto the dirt of the Tavern floor.

Dergious grins at the puking wolf and turns back to Xarad. "Bah! Ye be seemin a likable sort. Da rest o' da dwarves be soft des days."

Sophie and Mara have gone through this drill many times and it is just as well they have as Sophie is sorely tempted to attack the cruel Dwarf who just tried to kill her dear friend, without thinking. As it is, Sophie hears Mara's warning bark and immediately responds. She unhooks from her belt an instant locking mechanism, attached to a lenghth of chain and locks it to a nearby post which supports the tavern roof....

Dergious said to you, "Aww, poor varmit. Mebbe ye shud put it down an be endin its sufferin."

Sarah said to Dergious, "well he woundn`t be if you hadn't poisoned him. how could you do something so cruel? "

"Varmits be put te work er kilt. Ye can no be puttin a stinkin wolf te work."

Dergious said to Sarah, "Varmits be put te work er kilt. Ye can no be puttin a stinkin wolf te work."

Dergious said to Xarad, "If ye be gettin im young, ye can be puttin out da eyes, an havin em heat yer caves. Gotta hobble em too. I seen one at da forges once. Saves on fuel fer da fires."

Xarad said to Dergious, "It be wonders wut ye can be doin' with them scum ass folks. Makes ye ponder whether that be ther only purpose fer existin.'"

Sophie becoming a feral wolf, chains herself to protect the innocent

Sophie continues to shake with anger and then begins to act rather oddly, she begins to throw off her armour and to loosen her clothing. All of a sudden she lets out a scream of agony and collapses writhing on to the tavern floor, the colourful scarf which Sophie has been wearing around her neck falls away, and what it reveals explains the elf's strange behaviour with the locking mechanism and chain, Around her neck is a strongly made, tightly fitting iron collar and the elf, or at the moment half elf, half beast in agony is chained to the post by a 4ft length of chain...

Dergious grins at Sophie's predicament and strides over to her. Staying just out of reach of the chain and woman, he sneers at her. "See? Varmits be needin te be put down, les dey be goin mean." He pulls a rusty dagger and throws it to the floor where it sticks point down.

Xarad said to Dergious, "Aye, shud be put down now ter be endin' tha mis'rable livin.'" He grins at his statement, imagining the blood flowing from her wounds." Denth picked up 1 rusty dagger. Denth removes the dagger and pockets it.

The chained creature which is writhing in agony, is no longer screaming, she is howling. Silver grey hair sprouts from her skin and her body is changing shape. The Howling, gadually diminshes to a pitiful whimpering. What is lying on the floor of the tavern is a wolf, she is still somewhat encumbered by some of the elf's clothing....

Sarah thinks this is no place for a baby and heads to the door.

Dergious grins at the pathetic whimpering. "Well, a man's gotta do whutever he be wantin te do." He bends to retrieve his rusty dagger only to find it missing. Swearing he pulls his whip and lets it snake out behind him. "Dis be takin longer, but it be more satisfyin." He says as he pulls back his arm to strike.

Xarad said to Dergious, "'Nuther dead weaklin! Give er' wut her whinin' warrants!"

Sophie leaps angrily towards the dwarf, trying to tear out his throat, but is pulled up short by the chain. The dumb creature doesn't quite understand that she is chained as yet, however, and blames her inability to reach Dergious on the clothing, she begins tearing the clothing from her with her teeth, growling and snapping at Dergious continuously. The wolf is caught across the back by the whip and Howls in pain and anger. Finally realising that it is the chain which is stopping her from reaching the dwarf, she strains at it with all her might, Her jaws snapping and foam spouting from her lips.

Dergious Tortures the poor Sophie wolf

Dergious grins as the whip bites at the chained Sophie's back. The razor's inlaid in the magical weapon bites into her, and when the dwarf pulls it back for another strike it sends blood splattering both the ceiling above and the wall behind.

Xarad begins to bellow with laughter at Sophie's pain and suffering, "Dis be almost as gud as watchin' wyvern wrestlin'.

Sophie continues to pull on the chain and as she still cannot reach the dwarf, lets out a howl of frustration. She turns to the post to which she is securely chained and begins to chew futilely at the strongly built locking mechanism, achieving nothing more than cutting her mouth and causing herself even more pain. The cruel whip again lands on her back, and the beast lets out a shrill cry.She spins around to face her tormentor, green eyes filled with hatred and the desire for his blood...

Dergious steps back grinning, "Gonne let ye bleed fer a bit." He states and sits at a table. The bloodied whip curls of it's own accord at his feet, and the dwarf drinks.

Did you spill my drink?

The beast has finally seen a way that she can harm the dwarf, even without being able to reach him. She leaps at a table covered with empty glasses and pushes it over in his direction. Mara has stopped vomiting and turns her attention to the situation. The gray wolf wishes to help Sophie but as a result of the poison, is too weak to move..

Dergious dives aside, landing upon the floor with a great "Ooof!" and a thud. Glass shatters next to him, sending some shards flying and drawing blood on his cheek and forearm. He stands and moves towards the chained Sophie. His eyes narrow, and they are cold as he once again draws back to send the bladed whip lashing out. It is apparant that he is targeting her face this time. "Varmit. Ye jes be makin me lose me sympathy fer ye." He says in a voice as dead as his eyes. He stands very still, his arm still cocked to lash out yet he does not do so. He seems to be waiting for something.

Sophie is far too angry, to be afraid of the Dwarf with the whip, however much pain it may be causing her, She again strains at the end of the chain, growling and snapping her jaws ferociously, but the dwarf has wisely kept out of reach of this wolf. He hasn't reckoned on the other wolf, though, the one he had poisoned, still having some fight left in her. On stepping forward and raising the whip, he gets close to Mara's prone form and she sinks her teeth deep into his ankle.

Kathleen ties to help

Kathleen : Now that Xarad had exited the tavern with such a petty threat, she turned her attention on the bloody scene going on amongst Sophie and Dergious. "Oh oh oh, we have a dwarf gone mad." The woman whispers to herself as she steps closer to the action. Unsure if she should get into the whole act, she glances toward the endangered Lycan. "Want me to get you out of this mess?" Words were hushed, only because she didn't want the dwarf to hear.

Dergious grunts as the wolf's teeth dig into his ankle, and swipes down with his nasty, mithril arm. The prosthetic seems all blades and spikes as it slams into the wolf at his feet. The wolf cries as it is sent flying across the room, but the dwarf is overbalanced and stumbles to the side. He growls, much like the chained Sophie is, and gets to his feet. His arm pumps once, and then again... and then a dozen times in rapid succession sending the whip driving at Sophie. He is no longer gentle.

Sophie in this form has no understanding of Kathleen's words. The sharp razor whip lands again and again on the poor wolf's back, she howls in blind agony, collapsing to the floor not even bothering to try and fight back any more...

You told Thea, "Mara sends you telepathic Message please help, come to Kelay Tavern, Degious is torturing Sophie."

Thea appears from the south.

Dergious wants a stone wolf statue

Dergious strides forward and grabs Sophie by the scruff of the neck and, with his metal arm begins trying to force her jaws apart. From he belt pouch a potion appears, lifted by the dwarf's psyhcokinesis. The stopper comes out as it hovers above Sophie's widening mouth. Dergious gave 1 petrifaction potion to you.

Thea bolts through the door, brow contorted to show her confusion as icy stare seeks out the accused before landing to the wolf... Sophie, "What is going on?"

Kathleen : When not answered fast enough, the druid extends an open palm toward Dergious. "Leave her alone, you crazed dwarf!" Kathleen demands, her eyes squinting as she began to focus on her first attack into this outraged moment that everyone else in the tavern just seems to ignore.

Sophie clenches her jaws closed stubbornly to avoid swallowing any of the potion.

Dergious said to you, "*in almost a soothing whisper* Let go, varmit. It all be over soon.""

Dergious clenches his jaw as Sophie resists, and decides to pour the potion down her nostrils. He changes his grip, holding her jaws together and waits for her to have to breathe in through her nose.

Thea protects Sophie

Thea glowers at Dergious, "You'll do well to leave that one alone, dwarf." She takes her staff in hand, daring him to further his antics.

Sophie continues to keep her jaw stubbornly clamped together. She reaches out with a claw to scratch at dergious' calf the only part of him she can reach.

Kathleen lowers her hand, knowing that she cannot send any kind of bolt with Dergious so close to Sophie.

Dergious said to Thea, "Shaddap you! I be doin er a favor."

Dergious doesn't allow the pain of the feeble attacks to lessen his grip, and does not react knowing soon the Lycan will be a statue that he can bash to dust.

Thea closes the distance between she and the dwarf with haste, butt of her staff being thrust toward his chest in effort to seperate he and Sophie. A near growl accompanies her words, glowing eyes staring dead to his, "You'll be doing no such favors for any of my Healer's, stinky."

Dergious winks at Thea, and tips the potion a bit more. The liquid pours from the vial and falls towards Sophie's nostrils. Willing his arm to change, a serrated blade slides out, moving slowly towards the exposed throat.

Thea reacts with a swift motion of cupped hand under lips, gittery particulates being blown thanks to generous lips forming a lovely 'O' to pass the steady breath. The pixie dust aims for the dwarf's face, enchanted to induce a deep sleep upon the first miniscule amount that is inhaled by Dergious. "Perhaps tis I who will be doing -you- the favor this time by letting you keep that limb of yours, aye? Now..sleep.."

Dergious drank a Fire-breath elixir.

Dergious releases Sophie's wolf form and drives his stubby legs down, propelling him backwards and away from the dust. Desperately he pulls another potion from a pouch as the dust approaches, and downs it while plugging his bulbous nose. His eyes dialate, and his face turns tomato red, and his mouth opens as the empty flask falls to the floor. Without warning, a violent gout of fire erupts from his mouth and the dust burns. The flames leap forward at both Sophie and Thea as the dwarf spins and beelines towards the door.

Sophie inhales a little of the dust and the wolf falls to the floor asleep for now.

Thea 's eyes grow wide as the flames erupt at her, right arm immediately lofting out of instinct in attempt to shield her petite frame from the searing licks of the fire. The Pixie releases a cry of pain as she drops to the floor where Sophie now resides, burnt appendage being cradled by its uninjured mate. A look of sheer abhorrence is cast to the fleeting dwarf, knowing this will certainly not prove their last meeting.

Dergious seems to have inhaled at least some of the dust, as he suddenly feels as if he is running in slow motion. Then he feels like he is falling in slow motion. Then he feels that he is crashing into the wall in slow motion. Then he feels as if he is seeing stars in slow motion. He struggles to his feet, unsteadily feeling for the door and exits.

You only inhaled a little of the dust and is beginning to come around, though she is still very sleepy. The now badly burned as well as beaten wolf glares bleary eyed at the injured pixie, trying to work out why the winged creature looks familiar, before the pain of her injuries hits her once more and she just begins to whimper. Maya barks a command at Sophie and the werewolf looks obediently towards the true wolf. Maya sends a telepathic message to the Lycan telling her that Thea is her friend and there to help her.

Thea looks quite irritated at Sophie's changed form, distracted by the fresh wound to her right limb she turns sight from the lycan and finds her footing to make way for a chair.

Tranzier appears as if from the naughty dreams of all who are gathered, his perfection washing over them all. He looks about, to see a burned wolf and pixie and flits over with a look of gorgeous concern upon his face. "What happened? Can I help?"

Sophie just whimpers in pain.

Tranzier appears as if from a dream

Tranzier produces some vials and hands them to Thea, "Here, use this."

Tranzier gave 1 Divine-Blessed Water to Thea.

Thea mutters under her breath, "You've the most wonderful sense of timing as always, Tranzier." Her words fall laden with sarcasm, unwavering gaze inspecting the seared flesh as she sucks air through clenched teeth. "Damn that dwarf anyway.."

Tranzier looks about for a dwarf, and sees none. He does notice a roughly dwarf-forehead sized dent in the wall near the door and turns to Thea, "What dwarf is this?"

Tranzier gave 2 Divine-Blessed Water to Thea.

Thea cuts her eyes to the male pixie, "Do see about Sophie, won't you? I believe I know how to care for myself..so you need not play the hero."

Mara stares at Sophie and tells the Lycan that she mustn't bite Tranzier either!

Thea lifts sights to seek out the source of Daesith's familiar voice, responding with a small chuckle, "Aye, I shall be. Caught a bit off guard is all. Had I only a few more inches between us, it could have proven more useful to turn it back."

Tranzier nods and flits over to Sophie, inspecting her wounds. "Wow, this is some nasty work. Cuts on her back and burns all over. He lifts the chain around Sophie's neck, "Not to mention some nasty bruising around her neck." He produces more healing ointments, and begins to tend to the wolf.

Tranzier grins at the hatchling as it tries to get his attention, "Oho little one. Give me a moment, and then I shall greet you properly." He turns once again to Sophie's wounds and tends to them.

As Tranzier heals her wounds, The hairs on Sophie's body begin to grow back in she begins to change shape, howling, as this change also is painful..

Tranzier steps back, watching the lycan change. The wounds were mostly taken care of anyway. He turns to Sarah's little friend and smiles at it, flitting around it playfully.

Sophie returns to elf form

Soon it is not a wolf, but an elf that is lying on the tavern floor. She opens her eyes, and looks wildly around her in confusion. As Sophie becomes more aware of her surroundings, she realises that she is naked, and in public too, she blushes and grabs a set of fresh clothes from her nearby bag, dressing as quickly as she can, this achieved, the elf leans back againt the pillar to which she is no longer chained and looks around perplexed, she sees her fried Hume who has lelped her through illness and confusion before. And calls over to him "Hume please can you tell me what is going on?

Thea is immediately taken by his appearance, warm smile assuring him through soft verbiage, "It's nothing, Vexar. Simply an overzealous and rather smelly being attempting to torture poor Sophie there. I..got caught in the line of fire, as it were." She chuckles, right arm being held tight to her frame.

Hume once more offers Sophie support, advice and guidance

Hume takes a slow step or two towards the recently furry elfkin and nods sadly to her, "Yes, Sophie. You harbor inside you now the spirit of a beast, a wolf. We have all seen it, and this is not the first time the change has overtaken you. The last I saw you take the form of the wild, it robbed you of your memory. Perhaps this time differs, can you remember anything of the past few hours? You were beaten, I gather. Pain can be a powerful motivator for recall."

Thea lends Daesith her attentions fully, same smile gracing the Avian's concerned query, "Aye, it does happen on occasion to be off guard you know? And nothing to worry of..a mere bit of flesh kissed by some fire. Not the first time, and certainly not the last for me."

Vexar sight flits aggressively over the rooms inhabitant, piercing through each individual as if daring them to take responsibility. Finally it settles back upon Thea, far softer, inspecting her wounded frame. "Nothing, indeed. Who did this?"

Sophie can remember nothing of when she was a wolf

Sophie's face is full of worry, "I do seem to recall being whipped and many times at that, but the memory is more like that of a nightmare than a true recollection, although I feel it must be true, nevertheless, for my back is still quite sore, despite Tranziers ministrations. "Please assure me that I did not harm anyone while I was a beast!" Sophie pleads, her voice tembling.

Thea shakes her head to Vexar's question, "I know not what he is called, only that he is a dwarf with one metal appendage often seen in the company of an ogre."

Tranzier said to you, "I don't think you did. You were chained, the bruising on you neck shows you could not have gone far from this post. Aside from yourself and Thea, I see no one else injured and last I heard, lycans do not hurl flame."

Sophie smiles, gratefully at Tranzier's reassurance. " Thank you Sir, that is a great weight off my mind."

Tranzier flits over to Sophie's injured wolf friend and examines her closely. He pulls more of the Divine-Blessed Water and pours it over the wounds before letting the beast drink the liquid directly from the vial. The wolf's injuries mend at least enough for it to move about. He turns to Sophie, "I am afraid that is the best I can do. I am not a druid. She will live and recover though."

Hume moves his long snout in a smooth arc from side to side as Sophie's words come spilling out. He says gently, "There can be no such assurances any more. Half of you is now feral, and will hunt and kill like the demon of the forest and steppes it is." He clenches his jaw as the elf describes still feeling the ache of her lashing and growls, "A nightmare it was then. Can you recall who it was that was responsible for your torture? I would know who disturbed the dreams of your change."

Thea issues a respectful nod to the revenant then looks on Sophie, the woman she had sought to protect from Dergious' cruel treatment. "Are you alright, dear?"

Sophie looks over at Thea, smiling at the concern about her welfare. She does not thank the pixie for her rescue, however, she is not being intentionally rude, the elf just cannot recall that event. "The wounds to my body will recover, Thea." she says "I just wish I didn't have these horrible gaps in my memory, they scare me."

Tranzier said to Hume, "You know, this dust has been used as a drug of late, but the shamens of some tribes use it on spirit quests and to remember what was lost. Perhaps, if administered correctly, it could be used to help the young lady remember her... furred journeys?"

Tranzier said to Hume, "Were I a wiser man, I might even administer it myself. However, I have seen it used to find one's spirit guide, and animal that guides one during trips to the various planes. Perhaps Sophie could find hers, and it could help her control her rages."

Sophie tries hard to comply with Hume's request, searching through her nightmare like fragments of memory. I cannot recall the form of the being who hurt me, my friend, but I do remember it was the same evil creature who poisoned poor Mara. Mara is feeling quite a lot better for the Divine Blessed Water. The wolf walks over to where Sophie is sat on the floor and gives the elf an affectionate lick, before curling up next to her.

Hume inspects the soft pouch which Tranzier pressed into his hand, careful not to undo the drawstrings keeping the potent powder inside. He weighs it in his clawed fingers and nods to Tranzier, "Thank you pixie. It is no doubt worth a try, however to send her on such a journey now may again provoke the change." He looks back to Sophie, "Something I would not subject her to so rapidly, just yet."

, "Your tormentor beat you, and poisoned your companion? And you were getting worried over your own bloodthirsty nature?"

Hume said to you, "Your tormentor beat you, and poisoned your companion? And you were getting worried over your own bloodthirsty nature. If I've any luck with prediction, I'll wager some future date will bring you across paths with the fellow who beat you again, and next time, no doubt, it will be the wolf which prevails."

Thea looks on the pair of the saurian and Sophie, brow furrowed as she turns to press a shimmering cheek to one of Vexar's pallid ones, lips dancing there over his lobe in a whisper.. Thea whispered something to Vexar.

Tranzier said to Hume, "The wolf may prevail, but the wolf is an animal. Ferocity aside, a smart man can Hunt, trap and kill any beast. If she were to have her own mind, and the body of the wolf I would think she would have a better chance."

Sophie smiles at Hume as she knows his words are kindly meant, but she doesn't want the wolf to prevail, especially not over her rational mind.

Sophie hears Tranziers words about the possibility of her own mind in the body of a wolf. "Please Sir," she said. "If you can only teach me how to keep control of my own mind I would care little what outer form my body takes!"

Hume points a finger at Tranzier in agreement, "You are quite correct. The power of the wolf combined with the cunning of her mind would make an admirable foe for the demon which beat her." He shakes his head, "But such an integration will not happen quickly." Casting a puzzled glance at Thea's furrowed brow, he turns back to Sophie, "It is not a question of supremacy. There are two aspects to your being now, and if you wish to find peace, they must both learn to live in your soul as one."
