RP:Cautionary Measures

From HollowWiki

Summary: Blut visits Artia after erasing his memories of the days before to ensure that someone would stop him if he ever goes off the deep end in his research. The pair have a heart to heart.

Blut walked towards the ranch door. Blut rubbed his head looking at a note before knocking on the door. Blut knew what to do but he had no idea why he was doing it only that he woke up one day and to deliver something to this woman. Blut knocked on the door dressed in a rather casual attier a basic black shirt and trousers but still wore his leather armour under it. Blut crossed his arms and waited however instead of illusions he had his real face and hair. The skin whilst still dark was human and his hair was still white turning out to be naturally white. Blut looked at his relic which took the form of a pocket watch accurately showing the time.

Artia had just laid Ava down for a nap, being upstairs in the loft bedrooms. Hearing the knock she quickly moved to the stair braking Ava door open before she rushed down the stairs to swing the door open. Hoping beyond hope it was him, her heart aches to see him again even if couldn't touch him anymore or kiss him as he wasn't hers. Either way just to have him around, and Ava missed him deeply too. Artia eyes rested upon Blut’s form, and attire. She wore a regular blue cotton gown, stopping at her knees and barefoot. Long hip length hair braided, hanging against her back. “Hi.” She said with a soft sigh, leaning against the front door. “Would you like to come in?”

Blut gave a small smile as he walked forward somewhat "yes I would like that very much." Blut answered rubbing his head "Do you know who I am?" Blut asked due to the fact that this form was not seen by anyone even Blut had forgotten he looked like this for a while now. A small smile braced his face as he waited for her response and waited for her to lead him in.

Artia Waved her hand for him to enter, stepping back inside to move out of his way. Closing the door and leading him into the kitchen where she poured herself a glass of blood wine. “No I do not, I am sorry. Would you like something to drink?” He had a deep voice, she tried to rack her brain for the name to the voice. Where would she had meet him at before? Maybe when she use to dance at the chapel of pleasure? Hopeful not from her past before she came to hollow. Reaching around she grabbed her bread and placed it on the left side of her chest, turning to face him as she sipped at the wine. “Or maybe I can offer some food? If looking for spell or potion I do not do that much anymore.” She once hand golden tan skin, now it was porcelain. Her hair stayed the same, but her eyes. The eyes remained cyan blue, but added to them was gold freckles.

Blut chuckled as he took a pack of biscuits out of his pocket "I belive you know me by the name of Blut." Blut smiled brightly takeing out the dagger the pair enchanted "Maybe these will help you remember after all weren't biscuits your favorite?" Blut asked as he took a seat in a chair his crimson eyes flareing with far more life then they had in the past everything about the man seems new no more like refreshed. "So Artia how has life been for you?" Blut asked casually probably expecting her to ask a few questions.

Artia had to sit her wine down and force herself to swallow when he said who he was, “Blut! Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't recognize you without the mask.” She would smile widely at him and the dagger he showed her, running a finger along the blade. “It is a beautiful piece.” For the bag of biscuits she winked to him, “So kind of you to remember my favorite, it's now my second favorite.” Quickly she sat beside him, bringing the wine with her, once sat she would cross her long pale legs. “Depressing to be honest, my husband came back. But our marriage bond broke when I was sired, then we got engaged again. Broke up with me, convinced me it be for the best since he is human and I am vampire. Ava is growing and doing wonderful. I miss Odhranos horribly, I even spent ten thousand gold to remodel the ranch. The once guest room is now his room as well work area, I added a loft. Where my room and work space is. I don't think my heart will ever heal over this one.”

Blut chuckled once again "Well then I suppose thats his loss then. Seems rather petty to split when one partner was sired last I remembered wasn't the vow till death did us part." Blut asked with a short sigh "Sorry that was unbecomeing of me but do give it time. After all time heals even the most deadly of wounds" he looked down at his hands which were flesh and blood "anyways I'm here to give you a couple of things. I had my memory erased about everything yesterday so I don't remember a thing all I remember is wakeing up next to a note and a rune. I guess I would do this if I was doing something particularly dangerous and I guess I made the conclusion that you would best look after this." Blut explained somberly almost as if he were disapointed with himself as he handed over a journal and key that looked alot like his own but with a different cover and caseing but the most defining feature was a groundium lock. "This journal is for your eyes only after that burn it or keep it it's your choice I don't know what's in it." The journal was a perfect copy of his fathers journal except it was translated where it could be nothing about time control but ways to stop them. In short it was a guide to stop and kill chronomancers the rest of the text was written in a language long lost to history. The first page would specifically warn her not to let me know about it. "I guess if I went through so much trouble to make it then it would be worth reading. Oh and this is something that is priceless." Blut explained as he took out a pale flower that seems to glow a faint silver light even the stem. "A lunar tear last of its kind the flower that never wilts as long as it baths in moonlight for a while." Blut explained as he set it down " I'm never in one place long enough to look after something as rare as this so maybe it would be better for you." Blut offered.

Artia eyed Blut, making sure she heard him right. "It's not a loss, I'm not worth the time or effort to be in a relationship with. Best at just being friends with, not worth the work." She looked away from him, tucking hair behind her ear. "It's okay, was sweet of you to say it. But all I have is time now, I don't see myself with anyone ever again." She listened when he wanted to give her a few things, "I will store it in my room, no one but I go in there I'll even add a protection spell. Maybe invisible enchantment so only I can find it." Placing the book on the counter, then she took the chain off her neck to add the key to the chain that she kept the engagement band given to her by her first fiance that died long ago. Putting it back around her neck, and held the book on her lap now. Eyeing the pale flower, taking it from him as she closed her eyes to inhale any scent it could have. Opening her eyes to look upon Blut, "I'll take care of the items, I think that's just an excuse to give him a flower." Artia smiled, jesting at Blut. Leaning forward to place a kiss to his cheek. "Thank you for the flower, and I will take care of the items. Now, would you ever what these back?"

Blut shook his head "I think I'm never supposed to want these back." Blut took out the relic pocketwatch whilst rubbing his cheek from the kiss to say he was a little unconfortable with that would be a understatement. The flower has no sent but that was just a part of the allure "I think the book is how to stop me if I go awal if I lose myself in my studies. I found a cure to my curse but the potential to go beyond is there." Blut pinched the bridge of his nose as he sighed "but this school is dangerous if I'm to go off the deep end I may very well risk causeing damage to this world unlike anything else." Blut looked at the floor unsatisfied with the lack of trust he had in himself "I'd like to think I'm very emotionally composed but there is no telling how the future will treat me and the idea that I could cause inreparible damage to space and time is something I don't think I would gamble on." Blut looked at the relic opening it to show the clock inside "so I need something to stop me someone I can trust to keep me in check." Blut placed his hand on his head clearly torn about this decision "do you think it's worth it persueing my life work even knowning the risks." Blut asked makeing his trust evident.

Artia nods, "Well, then you can't have them back." She saw that he was uncomfortable from her friend only type of kiss she gave him, "Sorry I didn't mean...it was just thanking you for giving me something so special and rare. I think I'll place it in a crystal case to keep it safe and dust free. My balcony gets plenty of moonlight, I get to overlook the forest too. It's nice to enjoy." She gulped down her wine at hearing him speak on going awal. "Well, first tell me how would curing yoir curse cause harm on others and this world?" A soft smile caressed her cheeks, the amount of trust he put in her warmed her cold dead heart. It meant a lot he trusted her so dearly, "If it is your life work, Blut then it is worth it but be careful of what it could affect and those around you. If those around you care about, would you want them harmed? Is it worth hurting others?"

Blut sighed as he flicked the lid of the stopwatch close "this relic is a chronomacy assistance control armitus or a chromatus for short it serves to helps to control the time assigned to it. Chronomancers don't use mana like regular mages they use time itself that is why they are required to forcfully remove themselves from the timeline. This relic in the hands of someone who knows how to opperate it could potentially control time as we know it. They could accelerate time or slow it to a crawl but messing with time is a risky endevor for slowing it too much or speeding it up to fast could cause unspeakable conciquences. So rather it's not the cure but the potenital the cure has to cause damage. If a fool finds out about my research and decides to try and use it without the proper training or knowledge they could leave fissures in space and time worse case scenario they screw up time so bad the universe resets to try and balance itself." Blut chuckled at the final question but it was a somber mannerism "this could be the greatest discovery our world has experianced in centuries the amount of power that would come with it. Besides there is alot I could correct with this power so I say so yeah. This ability is worth the pain of others besides I already rejected this world there aren't alot of people that I would care too deeply about." Blut explained "well besides my friends." Blut added with a short chuckle.

Artia "Messing with time is unlawful and against natural balance. Let's not let someone cause rips in the time line. yeah? I'll protect it I promise." She looks to her empty glass, licking her lips and back to Bkut. "Not many I care about either, I don't have many friends either. But everything that has happened in my life has made me true to who I am now. I regret nothing but becoming a vampire. Ava will grow up the only child now, but she will be fine. I'll adopt later on in sure." Back to his work, "Don't correct anything, those that are dead are supposed to be dead. For example if my first love and fiance never died I wouldn't have ava. I'd have my twins in my arms not dead. Everything happens for a reason. But how do you plan to cure yourself"

Blut smiled " Well it's not a cure however it is a manner in which I completly take the time of another it even compinsates for my own time. I'm no longer at risk of fadeing into oblivion if anything I'm a full on immortal. Basically instead of the need to sacrafice countless lives I only need the one ever millienium." Blut explained with a large smile rather proud of his abilities "Still it appears that I'm attracted to this knowledge like a moth to a flame I must get it from my father. Still I do have alot of regrets but I can't correct anything the rules of time don't allow it. All it can let me do is preven the damage in the future" Blut explained as he pocketed the relic.

Artia shakes her head, "If you take another time, it messes with time still. Messes with who they are, who they should be. Wouldn't it kill them?" She had her answer, "Blut you shouldn't take another's time. If do take someone who is destined to die already." She placed a hand to his shoulder, "Blut, my friend. Is there any other way out of this curse? I had a curse once."

Blut sighed as he shook his head slowly "No this is the price that all chronomancers have to suffer even if I never asked for this it's not something that can be removed. Apparently the most skilled could take time from the world itself as a substitute but until I make it that far I'm stuck stealing time. In essense it's no more a curse then it is a part of me now." Blut sighed again unsatisfied with the hand he had been dealt "it's not ideal but I will have to manage."

Artia got up and grabbed him a glass of water. Sitting it down in front of him, "Blut, stand up." She put the flower and book on the countertop. Once he stood she pulled him into a hug, "I understand all yoir reasoning, you get out of hand I will smack you upside your head. Just always remember you are not alone, you do have friends that care. I do trust you. If you ever, I mean ever need a couch to crash my couch is open. I am always cooking too much anyways." If he didn't pull away from the hug, she would. Smiling up to him, "Maybe we can make an enchanted hour glass? You can steal time from a certain flower bush? Like I steal life energy from flora instead blood at times?"

Blut akwardly returned the hug slowly pulling away "I appreciate the offer but that wouldn't work. Trust me I tried but the time of the world is very difficult to harvest trust me I tried. But don't worry I don't need to kill for atleast 5 centuries so I got plenty of time to study." Blut returned the smile and drinking the cup in one go "Well I suppose I should be off now I appreciate it that you trust me. I will see you around" Blut started to walk towards the exit.

Artia sole grew, and saw him to the door watching him leave.
