Summary: Irenic learns of his ex-fiance's newest husband.

Frostmaw Tavern

Slightly chilled, the tavern is still a far warmer location than the outdoors of Frostmaw. If the cold is too much for a visitor, they can take a seat near the tavern's center, a place dominated by a large fire pit dug neatly into the earth. A fire is always burning within, fed by large logs and, strangely, scraps of leftovers flung in by passing patrons--to those in the know, this is to feed Aodhan, the fire wyrmling occupant of the pit and keeper of the flames. Aside from the stone and earth of the fire pit, the rest of the flooring is of a dark wood, clearly a sturdy material to routinely bears the weight of many Frost Giants, their armor, and their frequent brawls. A similar wood, lighter in color, makes up the raftered ceiling with its steeped roof. Tightly packed stones create the lower half of the walls, the upper planks of wood built close together to keep out the cold. Booths, tables, armchairs, and stools of various sizes can be found throughout the tavern in no particular arrangement. Frost Giant lasses move skillfully among the crowds to serve ale and warm meals, occasionally stopping to regale a newcomer with the stories behind the many trophies hung upon the walls: sabercat fangs, mounted mammoth heads, aged weapons, dented shields, war banners, and a dragon skull hanging central from the ceiling, horns and jaws wrapped in blue chains. A rather bulky and well toned frost giant stands behind the bar. Upon his blinded left eye, a scar travels down and along his jaw. The large bartender, Drargon, simply watches the patrons, awaiting orders... or trouble, considering the massive war-axe resting beside him.

Artia had left the room she rented for her stay during Frostmaw, awaiting when she could hear from the main person before she started work on the clinic. Not wanting to start working on it, and do something wrong. Each clinch runs different from her experience, pulling the fur robes tighter around her form. Thoughts of Odhranos running through her mind with a wide smile framing her luscious ruby lips. A soft hum escaped her as her fingers touched her lips, the feeling of his kiss still lingering.

Irenic was told by Lady Dragana to help in the rebuilding of Frostmaw and so he is reporting to town in search of areas that might need his help. She grumbled how cold it was there and how much he detested it, but he's a good slave and a slave does as he's told. His pointed ears pick up the sound of humming and he glanced down at the human woman with a devious smirk, "Well… It's you." A soft chuckle resonated in the air between them, "I was just talking about you earlier." There was the scent of whisky on his breath aside from the usual 'favorite scent' people experience around avians and even a hint of… Green cigarettes, he doesn't really remember.

Agoyoanye grumbled as she stepped out of the tavern and onto the snow covered land. "Damn wet, cold, and slippery lands" she mumbled hoping that her vampiric grace would keep her plump body upright on her laced up boots. Softly she took steps down the somewhat shoveled out path into the land that had been at war for sometime now. That's the reason she was here, she needed to find the infirmary and help out the Queen with her sick and injured people. The flash of red hair caught the keen sight of the plump woman's cinnamon eyes and a warm smile grazed her lips and exposed her fangs. "Artia!" she called trying to hurry after the humming woman, but it turned to be a mistake trying to hurry, because into a pile of pushed up snow the woman landed.

Artia didn't feel Odhranos presence, but she could smell him, he had left to go work more and she would explore. Almost jumping at Irenic's voice, she had been on cloud nine for the past couple of days with her bonded love. "And it's you. And seems you been drinking do not know how long you been around but hello. I didn't think to see you in this city, how are you? Also what were you saying about me? Should I be worried? Who wi-" She stopped speaking as soon as her name. Turning to she spots Agoyoanye her favorite female vampire. A soft laugh escaped her as she moved to rush over to Ago, only to slip and fall beside her. Laughingly, "Hey."

Irenic glanced back at the woman who called for Arita and in a flash he was next to her helping her out of the pile of snow, "Easy there." His black boots planted firmly into the snow and his grasp strong, but gentle on the stranger as well. Ultimately failing to save both of them at the same time he just stood there faking a disapproving look down at the pair while crossing his arms and shaking his head, causing those graying light brown locks to inevitably fall into his face. "Well then…" He holds out a hand for each lady, "You two are gonna get all wet down there." His slightly drunken state was not fit to filter that and he ended up chuckling a bit.

Agoyoanye couldn't help but giggle as Artia landed beside her, and she reached over and placed a kiss to her cheek. "Hello lovely" she smiled turning her eyes back to the winged man offering his hand to help her up, which she took and pulled him towards the snow pile as well. "Hello there, I am Dr. Agoyoanye DeSange... But most call me Ago!" She said with a girly giggle.

Artia couldn't help but to burst out into heavy laughter at Irenic comment, "How you know us seeing each other doesn't make us wet?" She reached over and pinched the full figure vampire's hip. Placing her hand into Irenic's, allowing him to pull her to her feet but first placing a kiss to Agoyoanye's cheek. "Agoyoanye this is my ex fiance, Irenic. We are now just friends, as I grieved and moved on. A lot moved on more then I thought I would, I'm now Artia Kerrigan."

Irenic was taken by surprise at the counter yank from the stranger and he ultimately fell in nearly atop Artia, but his hand was quick to stop himself in the snow. Their faces close for a moment and he offered the vampire woman a playful chuckle before introducing himself, "Hello there, I am Edlin. Merry meet, Ago." He looked back down at Artia before he lifted himself from her to stand once more indeed taking her hand to help her up as well. Irenic couldn't exactly explain what he felt when she seemed to hint that she's married now or something like that, but he goes to protest that he doesn't even remember being her fiance. Wait, he doesn't know this person so why should it matter that they think of him. After a long awkward pause from him and a stone expression he finally responds, "Good for you." Gave her a pat on the head  kind of a prick-ish thing to do and say, actually.

Agoyoanye squealed when Artia punched her ample hips, it made her giggle shake her like a bowl of gelatin. "Well it's nice to meet you whomever you may be" she said to the winged man before this time using his hand for a help up. A quick turn on her heels and she was looking at Artia with a pouty bottom lip. "You mean to tell me you married and I wasn't invited?!" she asks crossing her arms across her broad bosom.

Artia yelped as she fell back, with Irenic almost on top of her. With his face so close she wiggled her eyebrows at him, placing a quick kiss to his nose. Habits die hard, she would always love him and Odhranos accepted that. Odhranos wasn't as innocent as he seemed either, but he was interested in sharing her at the same time with another. Naughty human male. Moving to her feet, she stuck her tongue out at Irenic for the pat on her head. "Irenic I thought was dead, he doesn't remember his past life with me in it.." her face hid the emotions she wanted to hide, hurt and sorrow. She still blamed herself for not looking for the body, but Sebias lied so beautifully. "I lost our child as well, lost our child and then thought I lost him. But I thank Delisha that he has been brought back to me even if just as a friend to me." When Ago pouted she laughed, "Just a bonding ritual, kind of like hand fasting, with blood. Odhranos wants to have a wedding  ceremony in the style of his people, so you will be invited then. The bond ritual is just for the couple, and more of a no clothes and private affair." She moved up to Ago, nuzzling her face against Agoyoanye's neck. Backing up she gave her those large cyan eyes with slow batting of her long lashes for a pout. "I couldn't leave you out of that." Glancing to Irenic, she gestured for him to spank Agoyoanye. "I'll forever love the Irenic I knew though. "

Irenic playfully rolled those piercing silver optics, "I know, she's rude." He offers a playful elbow jab to boot, Irenic offered a broad charming grin to the vampire. "Maybe we should go off, get married and not invite -her-." He chuckled softly while placing his six eleven self directly next to the vampire draping an arm over her shoulders and a wing following suit; doing so the vampire would smell her favorite scent coming from the man. Once Artia started explaining things again he was getting a mild headache, the ones he always gets around her, but he hid it well for now. He offered a sympathetic half smile at her last comment, almost everything he does seems sarcastic or disingenuous, but he couldn't help it, he is kind of a prick and by now his buzz was completely warn out in this cold. His wings attempt to pull in and warm him, but unless the vampire shoved him away it would pull her in too in attempts to keep warm. He really had nothing left to say about the matter of her quick move along, "Good for you, Artia."

Artia placed her fingers to her lips chuckling, "Should we move this to the tavern, as it is warmer there. You seem cold, Irenic and I am getting chilled myself the warm cider is wearing off." She looked him right in the eye, "Agoyoanye has saved my life before, I think twice..yes twice. Was bleeding to death and my curse I use to have was attacking me trying to take my life." She placed her hands to her wide hips, licking her lips as she looked to Agoyoanye to tease the female. Yes Artia did move on quick, and she didn't regret it as the one she wanted to grow old with was gone but  the new him was standing before her. It would never happen again, but the one she settled down with treated her wonderful and has shown much understanding of her ways. Much like Irenic did. As Agoyoanye seemed to get quiet she chewed on her lip, and turned to move into the tavern. Looking over her shoulder the female vampire left, quitting a brow. "Hmm, I think you chased her off. She still wanting on her love to come back, his name was Vakko and a drow."

Irenic scowled just slightly at Artia twisting the scar on his lip before moving past her, uncaring to hold the door open for her while saying, "I wasn't even serious." He stalked his boots on the tavern floor and there it was again, the whispering from the idle patrons. His silver optics scan over the few which were saying, 'There he is. Wasn't he dead?' and such. A bored sigh was all that was offered as he scooted a bar stool close to the fire, again uncaring to also ready a seat for the woman in his company. He places an order for some rum to warm his blood and possibly rid him of his headache along with a slender white green filled cigarette lifted from his pocked from his new pal, Anson. He lets it dangle in the corner of his mouth for the time being until he's able to light it.

Artia ordered juice for her, "Juice please, and a biscuit please, thank you Drargon. " Herring the whispers she rolled her eyes, joining at Irenic side. Nudging him before she sat with him, "He isn't dead, y'all shut up already!" She looked up to and offered a kind smile. Pulling out her own smoke from between her chest, leaning over into the fireplace to light it. Taking a long slow drag, turning to look up at Irenic again. "You didn't tell me what was said and who you talked to about me with." Taking another hit she offered him her's to use to light it, holding the smoke for a few seconds before exhaling a cloud of smoke with vibrant colors mixed in.

Irenic didn’t answer her question right away, only staring into the fire which was reflecting in those deep thinking eyes. He took a generous sip of his rum with a soft grunt as it burns its way down. A longer pause before he takes her cigarette to light is own and puffing it to life while taking a long drag from it also handing her's back. Eyes still fixated from the fire, he didn't care about the other people talking about him, it caused some attention from pretty ladies. He spots one checking him out and his mouth opens to let the dense smoke cloud his face, silver eyes staring through the smoke until a smirk and a wink was offered to the woman staring back, causing the woman to blush. His thumb and forefinger take the cigarette from his lips to finally look to Artia, as if looking straight through her now, "Just how unfortunate it was not remembering at least one night screwing you." It was a bit rough in what he said in his usual gruff low tone and he offers that bastard smirk of his before taking another long drag of his cigarette.

Artia chewed her bottom lip, she felt bad honestly. Really bad really, and she knew Odhranos was feeling her emotions as she was feeling the sadness. A soft smile tugged her lips as she thought about that, but was distracted by his flirting with the bar maids. Rolling her eyes as he caused her and her friends all to blush. She even blushed from seeing it, it wasn't even to her. His words caused a hard swallow, almost choking on her juice as she had took a drink. "Well, I remember well enough for the both of us. It was amazing either way, christened every spot in my ranch." She moved to sit on the ground in front of the fireplace now. The flames reflecting off her red hair, and her cyan eyes seeming to sparkle from the flames. "Who was this you were speaking to of such things? It would be pretty humorist to talk to that person again now that you have said such a thing. But then again, our actions were obvious. Especially the marks you left on my neck and chest, use to be such a naughty person. Actually still are," she paused to take another drag, her eyes getting a slight glaze look to them. Taking another sip of the juice, putting the plate of biscuits on the table beside them once it was brought over. She would need that to munch on later.

Irenic had not noticed her blushing and his gaze had fallen back on the fire, but she seemed to move in front of him, was she trying to steal the attention of the fire? He took another generous sip from his glass, grunting once more and the woman across the way must have herd as his pointed pierced ears picked up on it and his eyes locked to her once more; another fit of giggles from them. Females were a curious thing to him all over again and he figured he would humor them with a sly wave of the hand; getting a flirtatious tittering wave back from them. Once a waiter came back around he caught the attention of the waiter, "Another please, and whatever they are drinking." He pulled coins from his black and emerald coin pouch. He had not heard her question, "Apologies… What was that?" His own glazed over eyes looking down at her and her red hair before him. Once the females get their drinks they raised their glasses as thanks and all he offered was a nod before brushing those brown and silver locks from his view; again casing blushing and giggle fits from them, 'It doesn’t take much does it?'

Artia had gotten warm enough, and moved back to her seat. Slipping the fur robes on the back of the chair as she sat, tossing the small left over of her smoke into the flames. Her hands moving to take the hair pins out and ruffling her hair as well massaging her scalp. Irenic has seemed to get occupied with other female's, finishing off the juice as well. "Nothing important Irenic, don't worry about it. Maybe you should take your tall handsome self over there. They keep stealing your attention anyways." She didn't turn to look at him as she spoke, instead used her fingers to brush her long hair. "Tavern wrenches..it takes nothing but an attractive man and they fall all over themselves. I wouldn't touch them though, they even put moves in the giants. Which I don't see how it would fit.."

Irenic quirks a brow at Artia now with a slight tilt of his head, "Why would I go over there? Where do you think I could go with that?" His chuckle was a bit devious, "I got them drinks because they are pretty and obviously wanted that from me." He took another long drag of his smoke to hold in while he sipped down the rest of his drink and also tossed the last little bit of his cigarette into the fire. Slowly letting the smoke cloud his face again and once it dissipates his silver penetrating optics are locked on Artia, "So what if they like to screw giants… Don't be jealous Artia." He said rather dull and dry, "Now, what was it you asked me?" His gaze narrowed on her before she can protest to being jealous, "Some human!... Ass.. No." The cigarette and rum did help keep his headache down at the moment, but it made his mind a bit foggy, "Anos… No… Anson! That’s right." One of the females got the courage finally to walk over offering a flirtatious greeting to him, but his hand palm side out goes up and stops her talking, "Hey, beautiful, I have no piece." He winks at her again, still somehow causing a blush, "Have a good night miss." She giggles on back to her friends. His hand lowered to his lap and he goes back to staring into the fire.

Artia laughed, and leaned her head back to look at him upside down. "You have a mouth and hands still. Don't need the piece. Could always use that and a female would still be happy and satisfied. Nothing keeping you from that." She moved to lift her head back up, laughing some more now that the smoke hit more. "Oh I'm not pretty enough to buy a drink for?" She teased him, "Oh I'm not jealous I got to have you and they never can, so they should be jealous that I know how you feel. And I have seen kissed and touched every inch of you." She picked a small piece offer the biscuit, when he said Anson she smiled. "Anson is a good friend, a smart mouth but fun. He is a good person, and wicked at card games. You will usually loose against his card games." She looked to the female, "He is spoken for anyways, his master would not like him playing."

Irenic again quipped a brow up at Artia and all of her laughing. "Hm. Good for you, then." That sarcastic tone again until she mentions him not buying her a drink earned her a scowl, "You are only drinking juice." He shook his head slowly with a chuckle, "Plus how would Oddhands feel about a man buying you drinks in a tavern?" His gaze narrowed on her again causing those crows feet to spread on his temples. He leans in to her a bit to place his elbow on the table, "But please… Tell me all about how you know my body and all the things I am still able to do." His devious smirk returned with that low gruff tone, subtly vibrating the air between them. His glossed over silver gaze drifts over her in a perverse nature while his lower lip tucks between his imperfect, but white teeth.

Artia winked at him, "Odhranos said it is okay if I want to play with others. I have once, and that was the only time I have. As to how I know, as I said earlier we Christine every piece of my ranch. Explored eachother in many ways, and anyway we thought of. Odhranos doesn't care if anyone buys me a drink, he only cares how I am with him. Like if he wanted to play, I would understand as I wasn't there that moment to satisfy him." The way he looks at her she bit her lip, "It's not nice or even fair to look at me that way."

Irenic only stared at her for a long moment, "You mean you two screw other people while you are… Married or bonded or whatever? And its safe to assume this bonding means he feels what you feel?" His expression was flat, it wasn't to be sure if he was being judgmental or just asking for clarification of what she was talking about. He was unsure if what she was meaning at the moment. His silver optics still piercing right through her, no smirk and his gaze less squinty.

Artia looked away from him, "If he wanted to play with a male he can, if I wanted to play with a female I could. As long as we are honest with the other, so yes if I wanted too. We are bonded, in my people's eyes married. In his people's eyes we are together but not married." She didn't want to look at him, "It is what we were going to do, once upon a time. But I was only ever with just you and didn't need anyone else to fill any void. I really got to stop thinking about the past." She placed her elbows on the table, leaning her head forward and rubbed her temples.

Irenic nodded slowly, still unsure if he was being all judging or not. After a long pause she stood up, heard one of the females whistle at him while he stretched a bit. His hands raise a little in confusion as if asking 'why' to them, oh well, his ego takes over and he lifts the v neck sweater to expose his tensed midsection full of rippling abs, tan skin and tattoos along with a wink and a smirk, this elicited more whistling and catcalling. Irenic guffawed while pulling the shirt down making the abs sort of dance from the laughing, "Well, again, good for you." He gingerly patted the top of her head, "I must be off." With that he turned on his heal slowly stalking his way out to fly off into the night.

Artia climbed to her feet, grabbing his hand to turn him around. Wrapping her arms around his torso, "Don't ever leave or make me think you left my life again. I swear I will go to the after life to kick your behind." She pleased a kiss to his chest, and moved outside as well to head to her room. "Good night."
