Aramoth's Temple

Satoshi reaches the temple in a fair bit of haste, only to halt just past the entrance to compose herself and begin forward again at a calmer pace. Her feet eventually find their way to the only monk she has reason to seek, and with a sigh she drops into a cross-legged sitting position not far from him--tucked enough out of the way to not interfere with temple routine. "Hullo, Cuk~," her voice is perfectly cheerful, and perfectly at odds with her body language. The feline is on edge despite her efforts to not appear so, shoulders tense, ears pressed flat against her head and tail lashing violently from its place coiled around her legs.

Cuki seemed a bit preoccupied. The Monk stood with dark skinned, almond eyed woman. They stood together just out of striking range of each other speaking in their native tongue. The tones of their voices rise and fall in quickly worded phrases. It almost appears as an arguement and does not stop until the strange looking woman points at Satoshi, annoyance clearly in her face. Pin intentually slips into common, "Nakula! Pay attention! The witch wants you." Cuki blinks turning to Satoshi. He didn't often see the cat as of late, nevermind in such a nervous condition. The Human had half turned to say a last word to Pin, but the woman had disappeared. His eyes stare at the empty space as he talks to Satoshi, "What is wrong? I would think you would avoid this place at all cost."

Satoshi is determined to keep her gaze anywhere but on his face, because despite the fact that she's a well-practiced liar, he's one of the few who can unravel her stories with mere eye contact. As such, her icy focus is left to jumping from temple decor to a spar of monks to a warrior selecting a weapon, everywhere but Cuki while she answers in a light tone, "I've visited you here before. Not my first choice for a vacation but..." The little mage forces a laugh, the sound so badly in contrast to her rigid posture. Every line in her small frame screams 'aggitated', right down to the frosty mouse trembling on her shoulder.

Cuki lets out a sigh. He really didn't have much choice but to stay with Satoshi rather than give chase. Just as the Mage feared though, Cuki turns his steel blue eyes back to her. Even though she adverted her own gaze, the Anti-Mage stared peircingly into her. Perhaps it even seems like the draining void of magic that makes up Cuki pushes down hard on the Mage. Every moment threatening to suck her dry. "You're dodging my question, Kitty. Why are you here?"

Satoshi cringes under that gaze as steely as its color before, in an air of timidity so uncommon for the aloof cat, she lifts her eyes to meet his. All thoughts of avoiding questions vanish with that simple gesture and the figurative flood-gates are open, "The Parasite! When he attacked Rynvale, we--Kassy and I--went to help the defenders. We ended up at the castle. -He- was there. W-we attacked him... It didn't go well, but we left alive... I.. I think I might have attacked a member of the Syndicate during that, on accident... Tiphareth requested to speak to us, but Kasyr told me to find you, and to be wary. I think he went to confront them alone... I wasn't even supposed to say anything about this!" The mage somehow manages this entire declaration in a single breath, the end of it coming with a shuddering inhale and a following miserable-sounding miyew, ears drooping. "It's all the Parasite's fault..."

Cuki just kinda smiles. Satoshi has always be the most amusing kitty. Though they had grown apart he always adored her as a cute little pet, though he dare not put it that way. Ever so gently he pats her on the head between the drooping ears, having let her finish her quickly strung together rambling. "You should have invited me," Is all the Monk says with a bit of a mischievous grin on his face.

Satoshi, so thrown off by the joking comment, can't help one of her characteristic retorts, "You're not easy to contact, monsieur Anti-Mage~!" Pat and teasing remark prove a fair remedy for her mood, the lines of tension all but vanishing, even her tail settling into a gentler tempo. The mage flashes a grateful, fanged grin at the monk. "You know... This place esn't so bad, really. You don't get too many of my type in here though, do you...?"

Cuki chuckles a bit, releasing his hand from her. The tingling sensation that came with his touch lingers on the Feline. "You would be surprised. There are those that use..." Cuki seems to be at a bit of loss as to what to call magic so he just kinda waves his hands in a fancy manner, "that stuff. They just might not be as skilled as you." To show his point Cuki makes a motion over to a far corner of the room. A middle-aged man moves about with graceful strikes. However the air about him shimmers strangely. It seems that with every complex strike the martial artist disappears for just a moment, replaced by a fearsome animal for which the strike takes its name. "Ling over there is one of our most gifted teachers. Sometimes we wonder if he really is part beast."

Satoshi's ears flick in rapid succession at the anti-magic's lingering feeling, its contact only aiding in quelling that not-quite-the-feline turmoil harbored by her. And her improving mood is helped along further with the introduction of Ling. The mage simply stares in wonder at his movements for a long while before, in a child-like gesture, she tugs on Cuki's sleeve. "You can learn both~? Really~? Did he learn magic first? Or..." Now's her turn to be at a loss for words for Cuki's brand of offense and defense, only she doesn't wave her hands around like he did, she makes a few weak imitations of karate chops.

Cuki blinks at Satoshi. Was she mocking him? Even she wasn't a cute enough pet to get anyway with that, but he was a bit ashamed. He honestly didn't know the answer which the fellow Human learned first, "Many people know both. They simply are not as skilled as us. It is impure."

Satoshi wrinkles her nose at the mention of 'impure'. "How is that impure? Look at him! He's got magic -and- tail-kicking abilities! I've got my claws, at best... That's just... an envious talent~."

Cuki wonders for a moment how to put it. The kitty often forgot about more practical things in life after all. "Yes. He may be able to do both, but he can't do either very well. He could never match my fist or your ice. It makes him weak." Not a completely true statement, but Cuki's perception on the matter was more than slightly bias.

Satoshi said to Cuki, "But, -my- fist is no match for anyone. If I could learn even half of what he knows~, just imagine the surprise of an opponent~."

Cuki said to Satoshi, "If you insist the Temple is always open to teaching new students. You could learn things you never imagined possible."

Satoshi leans back with an amused little whistle on her lips. "Hrmm~. To learn some of these techniques... It'd be so useful." Of course, the feline's already scheming ways to turn these to-be-learned things into ways to augment her signature spells. "I don't think that's an offer any sane mage could turn down, Cuki~."

Cuki was, as a Monk of Aramoth, obliged to teach any one that asked. Good or Evil. Law-abiding or criminal. Any and all provided they do as they are told. Cuki might, personally, enjoy putting the screws to the little woman. "Think about it more before you accept though. Most certianly in what you want wish to learn."

Satoshi climbs to her feet, grinning all the while. "I'll do that. I'll... have to figure out what there -is- to learn first, but until then~... I've got a tiefling calling me away. All seems well, for now." The mage begins walking toward the exit, pausing suddenly to turn back to the monk and bow deeply. "Thank you, Cuki." Humming, the cat carries on and out the door.

Satoshi is a blatant liar, when she's not looking the monk in the eye.

Hours Later in Aramoth's Temple

Kasyr was ambling around. In that sort of distracted, knowing-Satoshi-was-nearby-but-still-choosing-to-be-lost type way.

Satoshi rather abruptly and rudely cuts off her conversation with a random monk at the sight of the tiefling. And, without giving any warning save an ecstatic miyew, she's pouncing him to end his lost wandering.

Satoshi said to Kasyr, "What happened~?"

Kasyr is given all of a fleeting warning from his empathy- before he finds himself face down on the floor with a cat on his back, "...'Ello love. Had an interesting conversation with Tiphareth es all. I may be able to convince him of our honesty... Et well, just to ensure that, I've contacted Rheven- to further aid that goal. ...I still think we should be cautious however- meaning that If we do go about some magical means... I go first, since I have more than one life...tu know?"

Satoshi is quick to scramble off and unpin the tiefling, opting for simply sitting on the floor--and sidling up when he's righted himself. Ears fold back warily at the mention of Rheven, but past that she's in high spirits once more. "Nyeh... I was afraid you'd be losing one of those spare lives tonight..."

Kasyr happily takes advantage of the ability to sit up straight, if only so that he can lean over on the feline, "Psh, I'm not exactly aiming to get taken away from tu."

Satoshi is oblivious to the questioning looks the temple monks are giving, too intent on subjecting her tiefling to a good bit of affection. Mostly in the form of her nuzzling her cheek to his and purring happily. "No? Well, good then. Because if that happened, I'd have to figure out how to get you back again~."

Kasyr smiles contently, before chastely placing a kiss on the felines cheek- being at least somewhat aware of his surroundings at that moment. "I'm rather fond of your affections, mon cher. I would find an absence from them, even for a valiant goal, to be a sad thing indeed. So...What now, then?"

Satoshi said to Kasyr, "Home sounds nice." The feline pauses in her nuzzling to draw away and nod, "Yes, for now, home~. Tomorrow, putting a Parasite into the ground~. Or... something constructive like that.."

Kasyr said to Satoshi, "...Sounds like a plan, mon cher. On y va. Er, let's go~"

Satoshi lingers long enough to steal a kiss before bolting, calling as she left, "Race you~."

Hanging Corpse Tavern

Satoshi always seems to win, despite being the slower of the two...

Kasyr steals a kiss from the feline along the way, before simply continuing upstairs, "Not done yet."

Kasyr exits up.

Satoshi shouted, "Gah! No fair!"

Kasyr quite simply purrs, "All's fair, et all that fun stuff... Now then, where were we?"

Satoshi said to Kasyr, "Somewhere between going home and killing the parasite..." She pilfers yet another kiss. "Had something to do with that, I think~."

Kasyr leans in, to gently place a kiss to her lips, "...Well, I suppose a small death es going to be involved.." And that's about the last word the mage is going to get in edge wise- with the hybrid quite neatly pinning her to a wall, to keep her in the embrace.
