RP:An Oath Broken

From HollowWiki

Kelovath was speaking with one of the several priests within the Chapel of Cyris. The location was one of the more common places for Kelovath to be seen. Usually, it was also the place he got the most work accomplished. It was relaxing and a place of calm for the paladin. His weapon was at the entrance of the chapel, where all other weapons were stored as well, for those visiting.

Slit walked into the chapel looking around all all the marvelous instruments within its walls. He then sees Kelovath busy with another gentleman so Slit decides to wait by the door and wait on Kelovath to finish his current task before interupting him with other buisness.

Kelovath smiles warmly to the priest and nods his head in understanding. Shifting his glance toward the entrance, the paladin looks to Slit and nods. Soon after, a few words were spoken in a hushed tone to the priest, who then made his way toward the back part of the Chapel. The paladin then approached Slit, a slight smile on his features. "Hello there, Slit."

Slit nodded to Kelovath "Greetings Steward Kelovath, how may I help you today?" Slit then leaned against the wall shifting his weight so that he could stand for awhile as he knees were feeling to pains of having walked here.

Artia walked through the city of Larket looking for ivy vines while searching for the chapel, getting lost seemed to be the theme of the day. The witch needed to find someone or something to ask for directions. Most the plants were still asleep, she would not wake them yet, it would just be plan rude to. Having no water to gift them or any plant food in exchange thus the plants would be left alone, letting them be blanketed in the morning's dew. Continuing her search, Artia found a grandmother toad with joy. Stopping to make sure she was awake with a rumble in her own throat, causing the toad to return the croak. Quickly picking the toad up offering a dead fly as a present for directions, "Grandmother told, which way is the chapel? Can you help me?" The toad pressured its slimy tongue against her palm, turning its up toward north. "Thank you grandmother." Placing the toad down she continued north, with luck she found the vine right along the door. "Talk about a good chance." Plucking the vine by the root opening the door as she tucked the vine into the satchel, looking around with her bright red eye glossy brown wild locks kissing at the shoulders covering the right side of her face, aiding the silk bandana over her right eye to be hid somewhat, even though the silk covered half her forehead. Shimmering pale red lips forming into a soft smirk as she spoke out, "I am looking for Kelovath." The witch said in a loud tone to be heard just incase Kelovath would be behind doors from within. Peeling off her cloak to reveal her hour glass shape that was adorn in her burgundy lace-up top and her leather pants that looked very aged, having a few bald spots here and there.

Slit brushes his long white hair behind his ears and then looking at Kelovath, he says "we need to have a discussion on the relations between the Cateran and Larket, there are many enemies gathering across the land and we need to be secure in where we stand." Slit then sat down at the base of the wall his tired legs no longer able to hold him up.

Kelovath was just about to speak whenever the woman entered the chapel. He gave a slight smile to her and spoke aloud. "I am Kelovath." His head dipped slightly and his attention was brought back to Slit. "I have spoken to the council of Larket. About the Cateran." His gaze glanced over to the woman, trying to decide if this information should be share. With a shrug, that probably showed indifference toward the entire situation, the paladin continued, "They do not agree with your ideals, Slit. They fear for the safety of Larket and the gold that they love so much." With a sigh, the armored man stepped back a few steps from Slit. "And honestly, I have to agree with them. All of Larket's allies, Enchantment and Trist'oth, to name a couple, do not wish for your vision. I must do the best for Larket. Which means withdrawing myself from the Cateran, for the time being." The paladin allowed the information to settle in before finally bowing at the waste and lowering his head to Slit. "I am sorry, Slit, but Larket is my priority. Gain support from Larket's allies and she will support you as well."

Slit said to Kelovath, "very well I do understand the council's position, remeber though I am the Queen's father and the council turning on me in my time of need certainly does upset me and when my daughter Jacklin returns I shall inform her of their actions"

Artia hung her cloak against her left arm, waiting for Kelovath to signal her to come to him, or him to her. Seemed he was already in business meeting of sorts, so she would just look over her wand making sure no cracks were forming, a witch after all has to keep her wand in tip top shape or a spell might flip on to her. Whispering a few words to her wand as she pressed the ivory bone wand to her lips, the wand began to take own a form of a snake, wrapping around her right wrist. Hard to take her wand this way, keeping it in pockets was too easy for a thief to take. Noting that the man Kelovath was speaking too seemed to be pretty hold, seeing that his legs were too tired to hold him now, ugh how she hates doing free lance spells. But seemed this male needed it, with an exhale onto the snake wrap on the wrist the snake's mouth opened causing a yellow glowing orb to appear. Shooting off towards Slit, breaking off in two pieces to land directly on the male's knee caps. Healing the aged wear and tear of age on the joints followed by the muscle, painlessly and quickly if his mind would allow the healing.

Kelovath nods to the elf. "I am glad that you understand. And when the Queen does return, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm sure she would enjoy seeing you again. I do support the idea for peace, Slit. But there appears to be much more that needs done, before such a thing can happen. I wish you luck, and my Cyris and Arkhen bless you." A flash of a smile was given to Slit as a dismissal.
