Larket: Throne Room

Macon is in the Throne room, in Jacklin’s Throne, holding his office hours for the day. It is well known that The King of Larket usually allots some time each day for his people to come to the fort and speak with him on matters they are concerned with. Usually he finds it mundane. Just a few minutes ago the Throne room was vacated by a business owner who believes that his competitor’s shop is receiving more relief supplies than his own, giving them an unfair advantage. The Rage Knight growled at least three separate times during that meeting, and is now taking some time to cool down after finally getting rid of the upset Larketian so that he can receive his next guest on a clean slate mood wise. The Rage Axe is nestled in the crook of the armrest of the empty Throne next to Macon and he is in his usual armor, with the marble crown of Larket resting on his head.

Xzavior had came in not to long after. Noting the rather disgruntled looking merchant and made caution not to do anything much too annoying. coming on into the throne room, it was more of a surprise he had came in here for himself then anything. There wasn't any true reason to his purpose other then perhaps finding some other means of helping out besides healing. Granted, it was probably one of the more important ones, but he felt as though there was more he could be doing. Coming up onto the throne, he looked to the king for a second before dipping his head, "Well hello again."

Macon raises a brow as Xzavior enters the mostly repaired throne room. In the past, audiences with this Naga, which have included Sabrina, have not gone particularly smoothly. While the king greets the freeze mage with his words, “ Evenin’,” he casts a questioning, sideways glance towards the Kingsguard occupying the room with them. The look asking a silent question of Xzavior, ‘Should I have them leave, or can they hear what you are here to say?’ Which ever way the snake answers, Macon will ask the same question once the correct amount of privacy is achieved, Kingsguard or no Kingsguard. "'Ow can We 'elp you?"

Xzavior didn't miss the glance between the two. Wondering himself if they'd kick him out before he could say anything. When he was left alone, he asked, "Well, it's less of a 'you help me' and more of an 'I help you,' situation. I've been around helping the sick and injured for the most part but I'm questioning whether or not there is something a bit more for me to do around here. Somehow speed up the recovery if possible." Looking up at him, Xzavior wore a look of indifference. Not that he was hiding any secret hate or anything, Xzavior's not the brooding type to say the least.

Macon has heard about an encounter The Queen of Larket has recently had during the recovery effort with Xzavior. The retelling of events by Josleen was not one of a pleasant experience. Macon tilts his head and eyes the indifferent looking Naga sideways when he offers to help rather than be helped. That is fine, The King thinks to himself, and nods to the offer, stating simply, “There are several reconstruction projects already underway in the city.” He goes on to point out the most notable of the two as the towering tenements and the Red Ogre, which may be getting itself a new name to go along with its new structure. “I am sure any of these crews would welcome another pair of ‘ands should you decide to ‘elp them.” With that said, he eyes Xzavior curiously. Even though the king has an open door policy during this time that he receives citizens and their problems, this surely could have been addressed by a fort staff member or a simple letter, “Was there anythin’ else you wished t’discuss?”

Xzavior gave a nod of understanding when he listed off the two. Of course, that would make the most sense. However, with Macon's question about anything else needing to be discussed, Xzavior shrugged and said, "As far as I know. There isn't much else." He was more of a face to face sort of person. Much to some people's distaste. "Sorry then, to have taken up your time."

Macon nods several times, slowly so as to keep the heavy, stone crown of Larket balanced on his head. Xzavior is given a reciprocal ‘thank you’ from the king for his continued assistance towards the Larketian recovery efforts. The Rage Knight ignores the apology outright as he has already started to wipe his mental slate clean again to receive the next citizen from the waiting room. While the Naga sees himself out, the Kingsguard re-enter the Throne Room and take up their posts around the king once more. The next guy has a complaint about the sinkhole near Kyla’s being too loud… poor Rage Knight… prepare the good growls.
