RP:A Wedding Surprise

From HollowWiki

Alvina tilts her head at the appearance of the woman she'd met but once or twice before. "Good morrow stranger," she calls delicately, waving softly in her direction. "Do you too seek the artist?" Emerald green eyes smile towards her, this girl clearly meaning no harm.

Diamond raises her head to meet the woman whom, in her mind, she had never met. A professional look came across Diamond's face. This was her first time to pretend like she was to be Rosalba," Oh, no..." With a small inhale 'Rosalba' brought glasses to her face and placed them to her nose, then, in a swift motion she put her curled hair in a high ponytail, letting the curls etch out as best as they could," I am Rosalba. Charmed to meet you." The elf would step forward, offering a hand," Are you Alvina?" Referring back to the letter

Alvina blushed quickly before giving an excited yelp. "I didn't expect to meet you so soon! Yes, I am indeed!" The girl's hands dart out to shake Rosalba's. "A pleasure to meet you, I hope my request is suitable! I've never met with a real artist before..."

Diamond can't help but to grin, a light shine coming to her other-wise dull, emerald hued eyes, “Its fine, its fine. And yes, it is fine. “She held her tongue back when she was to say, I may be amnesic but I have all my artistic skills in tack. Remembering she didn't know this woman, so Diamond was just a person on the side lines at this time, “I suppose its like meeting any other person?"

Alvina chuckled, "Almost, except for the fact we've met before!" Poor, ignorant Alvina knew not that the artist was suffering from amnesia. Having met her so few times, she couldn't recall her name being anything other then what Rosalba would tell her. The bard beamed. "Thanks again for your help so many months ago, I was in quite a state and not really myself...I know you must have thought me so dramatic..." She rubs her metallic palm against the back of her neck, letting small ribbons of her curly hair fall to kiss her cheeks. " I simply don't know what I would have done without you."

Diamond stared at Alvina like she was nuts. Even if she did know Alvina, she would have acted like this anyways. This was her 'alter ego' her disguise...Which she had to work on, but then again, she didn't think business would have come already. So her make-shift costume was all she had, " I am sorry...you must have the wrong person..I-I just came to these lands a few...months ago.."

Alvina quirks a brow at her, thinking maybe she was right...and in her embarrassment found herself apologizing. "I-I...I'm so sorry, oh my...you look just like her...." The bard's bright optics moved a smidge closer, giving careful examination of Rosalba's face as she did so. "Our meeting was so brief...perhaps..." A thoughtful finger to her lips, "Perhaps you dont' remember me? I was bleeding...as such.." The girl's slender form hunches forward as she cradles herself in a similar way. "And I was screaming about being robbed..." Alvina's face distorts to a terrified tangle of confusion and fright. "Something along the lines of...No?" Alvina found no purchase for her words in this artist's face. "Oh well...I was all wrong..." Gathering the bit of her respect that was left, Alvina dusted her white mage robes before daring eye contact again. "I beg your pardon, I'm a twinge excitable and...anyhow. The painting I'd like to ask of you. My fiance is not quite around, but at his house is a painting done not too long ago that depicts him quite well. I could prove that for you in his stead?"

Diamond stared at the woman blankly, as she occasionally lifted up her spectacles to her nose and then brushing a random piece of loose hair away from her eyes and behind her elven ears, “Oh, yes...I am sure. I do not have much 'out' looks. I am actually rather plain if I do say so myself." Though, some people would disagree, she forgot all about that since the time her memory was gone, “Yes, I suppose it does. But I do ask that I paint outside...It...it’s easier that way for me..."

Alvina nods quickly, "Well, I can bring it out of the house if you'd like, but I will have to make sure it's not too far...he doesn't know it's being commissioned. It's...a wedding present...of sorts." She blushed again, "Would you allow me to lead you to the base of his home?"

Diamond giggles. Oh, wedding! If she wasn't being Rosalba right now she would coo about it. The warm love, how they met. A woman kinda thing to do. But she just let her bright smile break free, " Yes, sure.I ask this, will I be doing it all in one day? If its a wedding present I would love to make the up most detail, and make sure the colors blend well..." Dia paused and tilted her head, waiting. There was also the issue of the frail elf to carry her art supplies to a closer place.

Alvina nods again, quite excited. "The wedding isn't even until the summer, so feel free to take as much time as you'd like. I know you need the paint for the sketch but I offer you entrance into our home anytime, if you should need to study the details while he is away. He -is- away..." she sighed sadly, clearing missing his presence in their home. "It's not quite my home to allow creatures in but I'm sure he'd understand. " Alvina brightened up, smiling her bright smile as her confidence relocated her. "If you'd prefer, I can give you directions? It's not such an urgent order, you know..."

Diamond nods and takes out a small notepad that was in her plain black jacket's pocket, then a very small piece of lead, " Okay...I will write it down then.." The woman paused and lingered in the knowing of the other woman's longing. She had missed someone, so much, even if she barely knew him. She could understand...but wasn't sure if she loved him, " I don't think it will take me no longer then a couple days, a week top. And we may discuss a price at later time; I am in no rush to get paid."

Alvina spun around accordingly, as if to try and show the woman where it was from here. "In the Southern Forest of Kelay, past the Spring, you will find a beautifully old tree. A rope later will be dangling from above...and then you can find Linken's Home..." Alvina turned back to face her, a brief nod is given. "I'm there most of the time, but feel free to come in if I'm not. The painting is hanging above the fireplace. The male is my fiance..." Alvina noted Rosa's thoughtful gaze, "Do you love someone Rosa, may I call you that?" Diamond was busy writing down the directions until she stopped at the question. A faint blush crossing her cheeks. Dia didn't know...but since Rosalba wasn't Dia, would her doubt still count? Her nose wrinkled, and she could tell that she was taking too long to answer, " I don't know..."

Alvina smiled that knowing smile, as if it was a plight all women would come to suffer in due time, a friendly hug in the midst of occurring, if Rosalba should allow it. "I mean no offense," she says in a soft tone, "Love is tricky...you'll find it's fallen upon you before you even had the chance to realize its presence."

Diamond wondered why everyone she randomly met always said-knew, but she didn't know-that she was in love? Hm, that bothered her, and made her shiver. As the hug was upon her the woman froze, but remembered that the woman was no threat to Diamond. No, Diamond was not there right now, just the artist," Its fine...I just...don't know..."

Alvina released her, this artist whom would help her celebrate something important to her life. "I know you said you are in no hurry to be paid...but how much might you charge for such a thing? Out of curiosity..." The woman stood, withdrawing her metallic limb to cover her stomach, her right hand in all it's flesh to her lips to ponder.

Diamond scratched the back of her head, " I have not a clue. " It was a simple answer, but of course, she had no clue. Then, with a sly side glance and a expressionless face she spoke, " ...How much are you gonna pay?"

Alvina giggles a bit, "I'm going to pay what I can, I do have a wedding to plan for..." With that, the bard reaches into her own pocket to retrieve a small pouch filled to the brim with gold. "This is all I have at the moment, but feel free to take it as a good faith effort. I don't want you to spend needless gold on supplies and such while under my temporary employment. It just wouldn't do..." With that, the woman hands Rosabla the bag, in hopes that it will satisfy her for now.

Diamond stares at the bag and gasps. She had never seen so much gold before. No, never. But the thought of the person she 'loved' paying much more then this for her freedom made this amount seem small. But, of course the woman would never ask for more!" With a small giggle she handed it back, " Pay me after you get your painting done. I don't need it at the moment. I have all my supplies. Well. I must be going to get a good night’s sleep, and on top of that, I need to get my supplies ready. I will find you at the house next time I get a chance..." And, the elf would quickly walk off. Taking off the really unneeded glasses and pulling her hair out of the ribbon.
