  • The Fountain

Before you stands a large fountain made of stone. In its center, a statue of two lovers kneel in an embrace, the familiar vampiric features now blurred almost nondescript by the ravages of time. Several jets of water stream gracefully from beneath the sculpture into the rounded pool below, where thousands of coins shimmer in the waning light. Ancient runes, achingly inscribed along the stone rim, flare to life under your gaze and burn their way into your mind. The wind seems to rise up, carrying upon it soft whispers that form into one coalescing voice, Un davi, Uts medav ni emosif viet, en ovey dona shad oriem ne et remostes. You know not what it once meant, but are suddenly filled with a deep melancholy, rememberances of loves lost floating tenderly through your thoughts. .

Vasha lounges on the edge of the fountain, one hand lazily making circles in the cool water. The young mages complection seems paler then normal and the slump of her shoulders makes it plain that she had been over-working herself.

Rinonia emerges from the south end entrance of the founation humming a lazy tune that was trapped in her head. She continues to hum out the tune for a bit as her eyes caught the appearance of a familiar being that she recently meet, "Hey there, Vasha." She said with a grin on her face.

Vasha lifts dull eye's up to look at her new friend as she called out to her. Lifting her chilled hand from the water she gives a half-hearted wave to Rinonia, the newly added tattoo bright on her skin, "Hello there." she says in a soft tone.

Rinonia grins as she glances over at Vasha's skin noticing the new tattoo, "Still looking for new tattoos I see?" She chuckles lightly, "I always thought too many tattoos isn't good on a girl's skin." She walks over to Vasha calmly with a grin on her face.

Vasha turns her gaze to her hand and the added length of the new markings that run down to her elbow, "I added more to it in the hopes that it will work this time." Thoughts of the failed test wash through her mind making the depression she was feeling surge stronger for a moment. Giving herself a mental shake the young mage pushes the bad feelings away knowing they won't help matters. Returning her gaze to Rinonia Vasha places a small smile on her mouth, "Other then the one I placed around my eye the rest of them can be hiden easily enough."

Rinonia grins over at her calmly while still staring into her eyes, "That is good that your tattoos can be easily be kept hidden because it will be a pain if someone discovered them." The elf couldn't help but stare into the human's eyes a bit before placing a hand near her waist, "If you are ready to test them out, I'll be more than welcome to do so." She places her hand on her chin, "I hope they don't burn your clothes too badly this time around." She chuckles over at her with a grin on her face.

Vasha glances down at the hand Rinonia placed on her waist then back up into the elf's slanted orbs and arches one dark brow, "If you do it's no matter." she giggles. "I made sure to buy myself some work clothes just in case." Boldly the young mage reaches out her cold hand and grasps Rinonia's, warming it in hers for a moment, "Shall we begin then?"

Rinonia nods her head lightly over at her with grin on her face, "Yes we shall and I promise to be a bit more gentle this time around." She moves her body a few yards away from Vasha with a grin, "Tell me when you are ready, Vasha?" She aims her left pointer finger at her lightly with a cheerful grin on her face.

Vasha takes a step backward and braces herself and hopes that Rinonia's promise not to hurt her is true; she holds back raeching up to rub the spot where her last spell had hit her chest. Lightly touching the place her mage gift resides inside her body she sends a small amount of power into the tattoo on her hand, "I'm ready now."

Rinonia nods her head lightly towards her and grins as she tries to hold back on the bolt's energy so it won't shock Vasha too badly, "Zappy! Zap! Zap!" She watches a bolt of lightning leave the tip of her pointer finger that was aimed at Vasha towards her chest. The bolt of lightning that was zapped at Vasha was at half-strength thinking that it won't hurt her too badly.

Vasha tightly closes her eye's and grits her teeth as she waits for the spell to hit her. The bolt strikes her dead in the chest then fizzles out, but the force of it staggers her back a couple steps. Her eye's fly open and widen as the young mage realizes that the protection spell in her tattoo actually worked this time. Clapping her hands together she twirls around before rushing over to Rinonia throwing her arms around the elf in a tight hug, "It worked!"

Rinonia wraps her arms around Vasha giving her a tight hug as well, "I'm so happy as well." She grins and flings her around in the air then places her back on her feet, "Tell me is there any else you need to do as well."

Vasha laughs with happiness as her friend swings her around as if she were as light as a feather. Once her feet touched the ground again she places her hands on her ample hips and grins, "Yes, I have one more tattoo to try out." she says as she points at the one surrounding her left orb, "This one is easier. I need you to cast an illusion on yourself and if my luck holds out then this should let me "see" right through it."

Rinonia shakes her head calmly as she glances over at Vasha lightly feeling a bit disappointed, "Nope, I don't know any illusion magic, Vasha." She glances over at her tattoo and places her hand on it gently, "Well now, it is a bit cute on you though." She kisses the tattoo on her cheek a bit gently with a bit of a playful expression on her face.

Vasha blinks in surprise at the gentle kiss; not sure what to do for a minute she returns the kiss planting one on Rinonia's lips. The young woman didn't want to insult her new friend. Vasha was unexperienced in the "ways of the world" since she came from a family of peasants and had never interacted with elves before. Giving the elf a big smile she moves her hand to lay it on Rinonia's arm, "That's ok. I might know someone who can help me with it."

Rinonia blinks for a second not expecting to get kissed on the lips but then again she had to expect that Vasha would relatiate in such a manner, "You didn't have to kiss me on the lips but we have to do that again because you are a good one." She chuckles with face turning a dark red flush color.

Vasha blinked at Rinonia, but could not respond for a moment and remained still wondering what she should do. A blush slowly spreads up her pale cheeks as she realizes what the elven woman meant, "I did it because I have never met an elf before and I just though it was your races way." Thinking more about it though Vasha wonders what it would be like to truely kiss this woman, but sets her mind back to the more important matter of her spells.

Rinonia scratches her head a bit wondering about something there for a moment, "I don't know anyone that can help you with that bit because illusion magic is difficult for her to learn." She glances over at her with a grin feeling slightly defeated by not knowing what to say.

Vasha smiles and reaches up placing her hand on Rinonia's shoulder, she didn't things between them to be unconfortable for she really liked her new found friend and she hadn't made many as of yet, "It's fine. I think that someone I met in the Mages Library can help me with the illusion part." Taking a step closer to the elf Vasha places a light kiss on her cheek, "I must leave now though my friend, but I do want to spend some more time with you. And it doesn't have to be just testing out my spells either." She moves her foot back then spins on her heel, her long sable hair fanning out around her body. Glancing back over her shoulder she gives Rinonia a wave as she heads down the path and back to her studies.
