Hanging Corpse Tavern, Vailkrin

Jelko, in the fashion of all good storybook assassins, is clad in reds and blacks, hooded and masked. The disguise would allow most to remain anonymous, although in Vailkrin the cat-faced mask is the trademark of the assassin Jelko, who had recently attempted a hit on the city's vampire king, Kasyr. At present, the little feline is seeming to lounge in a quiet booth, with another darkly clad feline for company, a bottle of wine untouched between them.

Edrick walks into the tavern looking around holding a letter in his hand. He believes this is the place mentioned in the letter and he takes a seat next to the wall with his back towards it facing the people in the room. His blue eyes peer out from the darkness provided by his helmet and large red beard, stroking his beard he picks small bits of food and other things that has gotten caught in it while he traveled here. He then mutters out into the room "Has anyone here seen a person by the name Jelko."

Kasyr , amusingly enough, would be that darkly clad 'feline'- garbed in worn down mismash of cloth and leather. Patchwork clothing, at a glance, but the mottled combination of black and greys serves well as camouflage when needed, and provides ample mobility and some degree of defense. The most impressive aspect of the 'disguise' however, is the charcoal used to mask the revenants hair, and the fur of his ears, and the scent disguising perfume, which obscures the scent of ozone which normally lingers about the Kensai. For all intents and purposes, he's simply another scoundrel in the bar.

Kasyr's also wearing a mask akin to the feline, though where hers is an array of vivid colours, his just seems to be a mess of condensed darkness, that doesn't seem to want to stay in one place. It's sort of disconcerting.

Jelko is not the only one to stop and stare at the dwarf, not purely because he's a dwarf in a vampire's bar, but because he's painfully blatant. One vampire at the bar coughs into his drink a remark that sounds uncomfortably similar to "Dead dwarf walkin'." Jelko exchanges a glance with her companion, the slightest shake of her head following, before she lifts a gauntlet'd hand to hail the dwarf. "Word to the wise, short one," the little director murmurs to Edrick from behind her mask, voice devoid of inflection, emotion, or even a hint of defining gender, "do not ask the public if you are looking for the city's leading assassin. It speaks poorly of one's wits."

Edrick takes off his helmet and looks directly ahead of him at the shadowy individual, he considers for a moment how trust worthy this person could be who sent him the letter. The task he needed attended to must be kept secret for the time being and he regrets having to go to outsiders to seek assistance, but the surface world is too foreign for him and he has trouble understanding the people here with their odd ways. Upon hearing the words spoken to him "I am a Noble Dwarf of the Vorz Clan, I do not hide my intent and always speak the truth lest my honor be tainted by the surface dwellers." he picks up his helmet and moves towards Jelko and takes a seat nearby. "my proposal is simple, I am looking for several highly revered members of several races throughout Hollow."

Kasyr brings one black gloved hand up to his face, the palm placed over his masked maw, as he turns to appraise the tavern's newest arrival. Even after his companion speaks, the disguised revenant continues to hold this pose- looking to see what he can pick out in regards to the dwarf's posture, and what arnaments and armour is visible. How prepared, how confident, was the dwarf who had so brazenly marched into the city- and sought out meeting with Jelko. Or perhaps, how clueless. When Kasyr speaks, the response is terse, his signature accent lost, "Clarify. Names, and locations- or more?"

Jelko nods toward her companion, emphasizing the question. "Speak. Thoroughly. If you know nothing of us, know that we are professional above all else. Details of your contract remain with us. But details we require, if you expect a job completed. Gold we also require, for we are no charity."

Edrick places his hands on his belt and pulls it up a bit and then shifts in his seat, "very well the names I do not have as this is the information gathering I need, I simply require someone to investigate a few races to find out who is the most revered person amongst that race whose word has sway and the others of that race listen to, the races that I am seeking out are Feline, Dragons, Wood Elf, Hobbit."

Kasyr continues to observe Edrick for a few long moments, before he finally leans back in his seat. "I'm certain that we could provide you with the information you seek." From there, the disguised revenant simply turns to glance at Jelko, "As long as you can meet the fee." Dangling a pouch at them briefly did little to prove much, really.

Jelko folds her arms atop the table as she leans nearer the dwarf and cocks her head to one side, cat-faced mask staring unblinking at him. "That is well within our abilities. Such work would cost you two thousand gold pieces per race information provided. We require half the payment up front. You may claim you are a person of honor, and I may not have reason to doubt you, but in our line of work words are wind and gold is truth. Savvy?"

Edrick nods toward Kasyr, uncertain what price a shadowy figure in a tavern would accept for information gathering, then upon hearing Jelko name the price "very well, I have the gold for the first name here with me and I can easily obtain the gold from my vault should you gather more than one name." he says with a direct tone as he has no time for games and haggling as he has discovered from other surface dwellers that attempt to avoid speaking directly.

Kasyr offers a nonchalant shrug, his dark 'mask' offering no further details as to his mood. "Acceptable. Have the rest, when we next meet." Gloved hands neatly clasp together before himself, to idly rest on the table, "Anything further? Else, meeting adjourned."

Jelko nudges the pouch of gold to sit beside the bottle of wine, directly at the center of the table, before she regards the dwarf once more. "The deal is accepted. We will have your information."

Edrick stands and salutes "I Edrick Vorz, son of the future king of Craughmoyle thank you for accepting this task." he then turns and proceeds to walk outside where upon opening the door you can hear the clanking of armor of several dwarven guards that fall into line behind Edrick as he begins traveling up the road and back towards Craughmoyle.

Kasyr watches Edrick depart from the bar impassively, the revenant's ears twitching at the sounds which accompany it, "Escort. Not entirely foolhardy." The revenant drums his fingers against the table, once, before he catches himself, instead simply pressing his palms to the table, "So, thoughts?"

Jelko shrugs, the gesture without commitment. "I think we have a job to keep our ears to the ground, is what I think. Information comes readily enough if we wait and listen."

Kasyr nods slightly, his head tilting up briefly, before it snaps back down, "True. I have some ideas, to start with." That said, the revenant begins to push away from the table, his hands falling loosely to his sides, "Let's go." Always best to keep on the move, when in 'working' clothes.

Jelko follows without a word, bottle and gold secreted away into her coat's many inner pockets.
