RP:A Priest's Price

From HollowWiki

Grand Shrine of Vakmatharas

Arihan is leading a group of initiates through a basic prayer to Vakmatharas. The unholy energies fill the temple causing the flames to flicker and burn with hardly any light at all. The priest's eyes are roaming over the initiates that stand arrayed in front of the altar on which he stands on in an inverted pentagonal shape. The chant, though said in a whisper, spreads to cover the room. Those on guard are on constant alert even though their heads are bowed and lips moving silently to mimic the prayer. The screams from below are oddly silent at this time, creating a haunting atmosphere on top of te already dark horror of the temple.

Kasyr , though often brusque, doesn't see fit to barge into the room- choosing instead to pause near the outskirts and begin tugging at his haphazard disguise. The revenants trenchcoat had been traded in for a trio of moth eaten robes, the likes of which had been layered atop each other to obscure the Kensais form. Really, it was the mask that ired Kasyr, however, as the crude strap which kept the bone-white mask affixed to the Revenants face also seemed to be digging into his skull. Still, at least it was sort of spooky- in a vaguely reminiscent of Redhale, Kind of way.

Satoshi might have objected to her husband's suggestion of disguises for this meeting, were the kit not trying to escape the watchful eye of her Frostmawian bodyguard. Having given the Frost Giant the slip, Satoshi has since tailed Kasyr here, gotten ahold of a set of dark robes, and donned her 'follower of Vakmatharas' outfit. Like the revenant, she also wears a mask, although hers is of a higher quality, black and white cat-faced, and sits more comfortably upon her. It's been some time since Satoshi has put on Jelko's mask. And thus, the magus is concealed right down to her vulpine tails, so that she can pad along after Kasyr to meet their potential client.

Arihan is drawing the ceremony to a close as the two robed figures enter. As the chants grow softer the candles regain their glow. The reccesseion of the unholy energies is palpable as the priests release their power. A young vampire intiate approaches the two newcomers. "Do you require assisstance with something?" he asks politely, not knowing if these were pilgrims here to pay their respects or high ranking members of the church in disguise.

Kasyr ceases his fidgeting once he finds himself subject to the initiates scrutiny, instead folding his arms behind his back to maintain a facade of composure. "I was told I might be able to find a priest named Arihan here. I'd be most appreciative if you might be able to... " There's a moments pause, before he shakes his head, "To direct me to him." Though polite, his speech is oddly stilted, almost deliberate in how it's drawn out.

Satoshi nods at her partner's response, in agreement with the answer. She does, however, add onto the comment, "I believe he is expecting us, concerning House business." Where Kasyr's tones are stilted, the magus' far-off, a peculiar sort of whisper, having nothing to do with the mask muffling her voice.

Arihan ::The initiate nods, "He did mention that he was expecting company. Please follow me." With a bow the initiate turns to lead the others to a well furnished office pausing only once to whisper to a fellow initiate who darts towards the altar. The office consists of an elegantly carved desk situated across from a fire. Three chairs sit at the desk, the largest facing the fire the other two, while more simple no less comfortable, face the first. "Please have a seat." the vampire offers gesturing to the two cairs, "Is there anything you would require? Wine?" he asks.

Kasyr is fairly silent as he's lead towards the office, offering up only a sparse, "Thank you." and a rigid bow when presented with the seat. That said, when the offer for further amenities is presented, he merely shakes his head and proceeds to to take his seat. "Business before pleasure."

Satoshi follows, as closely and silently as a shadow. While Kasyr declines the invitation for drinks, the kit uses the moment to look about the office and absorb the details it has to offer. She sits down then beside the kensai with a nod of approval. From beneath the mask, Satoshi murmurs in a tone audible to only Kasyr, "Nice place to meet. I was half-expecting something more blood-stained." It's not often she pays visits to Vakmatharas' temples, and those trips are usually fairly gruesome.

Arihan ::The initiate bows out, "Arihan will be with you momentarily. Stepping backwards he closes the door softly. The two are left to wait only a few seconds before the door opens again. Arihan walks through the open portal his pale grey eyes sweep over the two before he shuts the door and mutters a quick prayer, ensuring that non can eavesdrop on the meeting. Pulling back his hood the priest moves to take the seat opposite the two, "I was told that you were here on house business, can I safely assume that you are the representatives of Nasar?"

Kasyr briefly inclines his head towards Satoshi, before his attention redirects towards Arihan, "We are Lady Nasar's ..emissaries in this matter, yes." The robed figure pauses for a moment, before he quietly adds, "You had espoused an interest in collecting certain materials." That bit of prompting aside, the revenant falls quiet once more.

Satoshi, although she doesn't remove her mask, at least lowers her hood in response to the priest doing so. What's made visible is a head of ink black hair, presumably long were it not arranged into a lifted style that keeps it close and out of enemy grasp. Glimpsed among the locks are a pair of cat's ears, short, black, and prim where they reside unmoving upon the kit's head. The feline mask stares fixedly on Arihan as its wearer nods once. "We can acquire any material. The matter that requires discussing is what, exactly, you seek, and how swiftly." And, of course, just how much Arihan is willing to pay for it.

Arihan nods, "Very well, as representatives of House Nasar I know I can trust in your secrecy." he says leaning back into his chair, "My list is rather extensive and time is not of the essence I would rather it take a while and there be no witnesses than tomorrow and traceable. I require a child of every mortal race, as much blood as can be harvested from priests of the goodly and neatral gods, and information." The priest smiles, "Is that doable?"

Kasyr briefly steeples his fingers together, though the motion is somewhat hampered by the sleeves of his robes- which seem a fair bit longer than his arm. "It is feasible. I will need elaboration on what information you seek, however." The robed Kensai pauses, before his hands drift down to his lap, "That, and what races you consider mortal. Lycanthropes, for instance, seem to defy that description."

Satoshi is either very professional or has received requests more morbid than Arihan's, for she shows no outward signs of surprise, revulsion, or otherwise when he speaks. She simply listens attentively, nodding where appropriate. "Such requests are within our capabilities. You prefer blood obtained without a trail, we can do so. The price of course will reflect this, for it will require far more preparation to accomplish. Fifteen hundred gold pieces per race will see your supplies delivered and without guards following. Twice that for each priest. They are targets much less easily taken without notice than children. Information's cost depends entirely upon what you want."

Arihan waves his hand absently, "Those prices are more than fair for security. The information is fairly simple I just require a name. The name of the most talented weapon and armor smith in Lithrydel. He will not come to harm, I merely need something forged."

Kasyr glances over at Arihan for a few long moments before he finally states, "What kind of weapon and armour do you seek forged? That influences the answer. Once that is ascertained, we can be one our way." Beyond that, the robed figure remains still, save for the occasional rise and fall of his shoulders.

Satoshi doesn't look toward Kasyr, although her response follows swiftly behind is, without missing a beat. "However, if you don't wish to disclose what you seek made, for five hundred gold pieces, we can ensure you a list of each realm's finest smiths. You should have little trouble selecting one then."

Arihan smiles, "I think five hundred for a list will do." He says rising from his chair, "I will have the gold together in a few days time. When do you require the first payment?"

Kasyr is on the verge of answering when a profoundly obvious question occurs to him, "Do you require the children alive or dead?" The matter of a fee is, for the moment, ignored- if only due to that particular query.

Satoshi adds, "Alive or dead won't effect the fee. It only defines our actions. As for the first payment, you may leave it at the Hanging Corpse with the barkeep. We will retrieve it when your first ingredients are delivered to the coffin-maker. Any messages you need us to receive can be left with either of them."

Arihan nods to the female, "Understood. Alive is required, and unscarred physically." Bowing he adds, "Please pass my gratitude on to Lady Colette."

Kasyr takes that moment to draw himself up to his feet, if only to offer a brief nod, "We will pass on the message." Pushing away from the chair, the robed Kensai makes his way over towards the door, if only to pause, "Expect to hear from us soon." And just like that, he's making his way out.

Satoshi draws her hood back up, nods once to the priest, and follows.
