RP:A Night In

From HollowWiki

Summary: It’s a night in for Meri and Magik, they chat about her lesson with Mahri.

Treehouse D’Chath

Meri blinks, she wasn't expecting that answer. Well then. "Wait. You were supposed to argue with me."

Magik spawns a journal out of nowhere and skims the pages, "Nope. I, uh, don't see that anywhere in here."

Meri is a curious beast, as Magik has well learned, and so Meri's just going to do her best to take a peek at those pages that Magik is thumbing through right now. "Just makes me wonder what is in there..."

Magik snaps the journal shut and. Gasp. It's gone. If Meri did catch a peak, she would probably see a list of potential date ideas. Maybe. "Uh..be right back.." Black smoke. Down the ladder. He'll definitely be right back.

Meri :: Did Meri catch a glimpse at that list? Hard to say, it's gone in a flash annnnnd before Meri can even properly pout at Magik...he's running off? But then he's back. Needless to say, Meri's giving him one very confused look. "What..."

Magik doesn't fumble through his pocket at all. In fact. He's off again. Up the steps. He comes back down in black swim shorts. He grabs Meri's hand then leads her to the hot tub. Whiskey too. And beer. "What?"

Meri :: What is even happening with Magik right now. Weird, definitely being weird. Meri's feeling a little suspicious, but not quite in a bad way. Not even whiskey and dragging her off to the hot tub is going to fully distract her from his current behavior. "Uh huh.." Meri lifts a brow. "So you get to change...but what? I'm just gonna strip down?" Magik. She might. Your students.

Magik was about to step into the hot tub but Meri's words stopped him. He thinks for a moment then waves his hand. The area around the hot tub goes completely dark. The elf holds his hand out to form a small fireball. It's placed on the edge of the hot tub. Meri and Magik can't see out and no one can see in. It's like their own private booth with 'candle lights. Then He climbs in and settles, "There we are.."

Meri might be learning quite a bit about Magik and his abilities, but that doesn't mean that some of his antics still don't surprise her. There is a bit of a smirk as Meri attempts to peer out of the privacy booth, but she can't. Meri's eventually going to join Magik in the hot tub, it's just going to take her a few minutes longer. For obvious reasons. Enjoy the view Magik. "Clever. It's like you've got the candles going and everything. Very romantic. I maybe could get used to this."

Mahri barges in hoping that M&M aren't in some sort of compromising position

Magik smirks them winks, "Yeah, me too." He takes a long pull from his beer then places it just next to the small fireball. Once relaxed, his eyes turn to their natural blues color so he can fully appreciate the warmth of the tub, "Ya know, this might be the first time I've been able to properly enjoy this thing.."

Mahri said, "Hello, anyone home!?" Mahri's going to rumage through stuff... Mag, didn't know you liked those kinds of...things.. who-boy."

Meri freezes. She knows perfectly well that Mahri cannot see them and she certainly cannot see Mahri. She can hear the other lycan though. As much as Meri enjoys her company...Well. Look. Sometimes the blonde can be a little selfish, aye? So she lifts a hand presses a finger to her lips, signaling they should be veeeeery quiet. Once she's pretty sure Mahri has left the building, Meri smirks to Magik and teases, "Almost didn't get to enjoy it properly tonight either." Meri slides in closer to Magik, "She made me name my wolf yesterday."

Magik 's eyes flare up for a quick moment. He wasn't mad. He was just surprised that Mahri made an unexpected visit. He bites his lip as Meri makes the shh signal. Even though he can't see out of the shadowed area, he habitually leans back to get a glance of where the entrance to the bar area would be. Once it's obvious that Mahri left, the elf's eyes go back to blue. He drapes an arm over Meri and tilts his head, "Oh? Your wolf, as in..?"

Meri watches the change in Magik's eyes with intrigue. In the end, Meri has an appreciation for both. There was something intense about that fiery black, but given there setting? Blue was nice to see. Meri ends up positioning herself so that she can have one hand on her whiskey and the other on Magik. It kind of wanders while they talk, in a mostly innocent and flirty fashion. Mostly. "Yes. My wolf. Did you know that she can enter someone's mind? So it was me. And her. And the wolf. She made us say hello and then insisted that I name her. We're going to actually try shifting next time. An actual controlled shift that is." Well, hopefully there will be control.

Magik looks legitimately interested in what Meri had to say, "Mah has been in my head too. She helped me figure out why I was so sick." He then smiles as Meri continues, chiming in when appropriate, "That is..awesome, actually. What does your wolf look like? How did it, she, react? And..The name?"

Meri matches Magik's expression. Mahri has been inside his head? Meri's never been one to keep the conversation on herself, and so with a smirk she shifts some of the attention back on her fellow. "Mmmm. Should I tell you? Or keep you in suspense until you meet her? Or maybe...We'll trade. I'll give you a name and tell you what she looked like, if you tell me what it is like inside your head."

Magik 's smirk fades as he thinks for a moment. However, it comes back once he looks at Meri for a bit, "Deal, but you go first.."

Meri notes the way that smirk fades, even for just a moment. "Mmm, or maybe. We should save that for when you don't have a babe in your hot tub?" Meri wiggles her brows but then shifts the conversation on to what Magik is more interested to hear about, "Black, like Ohtar, but with gold eyes. As for a name, I settled on Sage. For several reasons."

Magik remains quiet for a moment, dodging Meri's first comment for now. However, he lights up a little as she explains her wolf, "Gold eyes? Well, it's definitely be easy to pick you out of a pack, that's for sure." And her name, "All reasons aside, that fits. For sure." Magik's hand starts idly rubbing Meri's shoulder as he settles in. First, a drink. "We'll. Circling back." The elf grins and wrinkles his nose at the hot blonde, "Babe in the hot tub, babe on the beach, babe at the bar..You seem to be everywhere with me when we talk so.." The elf closes his eyes for a short moment, "Inside my head is..dark at times. Confusing. Panic. Worry. Definitely lots of trees and paths leading to nowhere at times. Sometimes.." As cheesey as this is, he kisses Meri's cheek, "Sometimes those dark paths lead to beacons of light." Dork.

Meri :: It doesn't entirely escape Meri's note that Magik seems to be reluctant to answer, it's not something that she's upset by either though. Meri is fully aware that she's been hesitant to speak on numerous issues and so Magik is given plenty of chance to speak on it in his own time. Or not. They had time, Meri was not interested in rushing these conversations. Meri smirks lightly at all their babe talk but soon takes on a more serious expression, one that that fades when Magik plants a kiss to her cheek. "Beacons of light?" She pointing at herself. "Me?" Meri smirks. "Naw, babe. I don't know if I would go that far. But, I promise that I'll at least be good to you and yours." Meri was making jokes, sure, but she the way she was studying Magik suggested that her mind was probably still turning over what he just explained to her. Confusing? Panic? Worry? Hm.

Magik grinned and shook his head, "Compared to the last two.." All he needed to hear was that she was going to treat him right. Magik didn't feel it was necessary to completely explain what goes on in his head tonight. It's a lot. A change of subject! Kind of. "So when are you and Mahri getting together again to let the wolf out?" He's hoping he can witness this. Maybe. Was that a smart thing to do?

Meri latches onto the subject change rather than trying to grill Magik further about his exes, or that panic and worry that he mentioned. The blonde keep her eyes on Magik's while they chat, but her hands are not to herself. She's tracing the outline of his phoenix tattoo with one of her hands. "Mmm. I honestly couldn't tell you. I guess we decided to hide from her today." Meri smirks. "Would you like to be there when we try? I don't mind if she doesn't....And I suppose if things went awry, well it is hard to bite smoke, isn't it?"

Magik watches Meri trace his tattoo. No smoke tricks this time. Especially being in the hot tub. Although, seeing black smoke plume out of water would be pretty cool, right? He then looks back at her, "Perhaps..I mean, you have seen me in my wolf form..It's only fair, right?" "Or..I can be there but h--..you'd smell me. Nevermind." He chuckles, "I was going to say I could hide in a tree but I'm sure you'd catch my scent at some point."

Meri wasn't hoping to see any smoke tricks this time, she wasn't even looking for it. Her eyes were all on Magik...Sometimes ladies just like to flirt with their dudes. "You can be there, up in the trees, I don't mind. Even if I did smell you, it's not like you'll have a wolf levitating up into the trees to try and bite you." Meri snaps her jaws at Magik. "That I can only do when I am like this..." Meri motions at herself. "Just as long as we think about the what if's..." Meri smirks. "Biting you is really only fun when I have your permission."

Magik smirks devilishly at his woman's words, "Really?" With a wave of his hand then a flat smack to that fireball, the shadow and flames disappear, "What if I said you can bite me as long as you can catch me?" The elf tilts his head then practically black flips out of the hot tub. After a quick shake, his body ignites with his black flames for a quick dry then he's off down the hallway and up to the bedroom.

Meri lacks shame, yeah? Except, she wasn't quite expecting that shadow partition to just disappear right then and there. Magik. YOUR STUDENTS. Magik has a very unfair head start because Meri's forced to make decisions. Make herself decent? Streak through the house? Try and take her clothes with her as she runs dripping wet to his bedroom? Magik's gonna be in "trouble" when Meri finally catches him. Oh. No.
