Mage's Tower

Svilfon was standing at the bottom of the mage's tower, with his Xalious wood wand in hand. He had recently finished a discussion with one of the tutors here, and just as he was about to resume his hunting around Hollow he spies Rilid. The wizard knows who this man is and so he holds off his teleportation spell and instead offers Rilid a tip of his hat. "You are the one seeking to join our ranks." It was not a question; it appears today Svilfon isn't in the mood for light chatter.

Rilid was muttering under his breath as he felt the air whipping by, his goggles tightly secured as he felt the muscles of Lorn; his summoned dragon move and flex as the long snake like body weaved through the air, it's changing rainbow and sometimes see threw body would make the red mage an odd sight, Riding an almost invisible creature at range and flying at great speeds threw out the air. Once he saw the ominous tower in the distance he simply looking at lorn and whispered, "Release." And the dragon dissipated beneath Rilid who now fell quite quickly through the air, his black runed robes fluttering about his being as he dropped threw the air closing his eyes he summoned one large dire hawk, it appearing in a blast of feathers and grabbing the red toned mage around the shoulders to swoop in and drop the mage in a cloud of rolling dust and and limbs to the entrance of the mages tower where a male tipped his hat to him, and stated Rilid's own intentions. From the floor at the mages feet Rilid smiled and replied, "Yes, I am." Then standing quickly and sticking out a earth red hand, "nice to meet ya." Another flash of gruesome red toned teeth," I'm Rilid, though you already know that."

Svilfon lowers his gaze just for a moment to the extended hand, before his pale eyes return to Rilid. "I am Svilfon the wizard, Magister Templi of the Mage's Guild. Judging by your... entrance... your request to join our ranks seems fitting." Ignoring the extended hand now, the wizard lifts his own in a sweeping gesture to encompass the guild's tower. "You can be entered as an apprentice to our guild, though you are not my personal apprentice. Until your loyalty and dedication has been proven, you will not be allowed to share our true secrets, though you are free to use this building as you see fit... just remember that within our guild there is peace; a harmony of sorts that is above petty politics. If you betray us, or share secrets learned within these walls to an outsider, your life will be forfeit. I, Satoshi, Tiphareth and Rheven will hunt you down and tear you apart. But if you are truly dedicated to the arts, to learning, to growing, then you will find both the guild and our resources are invaluable. Will you stand with us? Will you agree to our tenets and rules? Think well before you agree, for the path of arcane mastery is not an easy road to walk."

Rilid 's red hand now found his chin as he thought over the list of options in his head, thinking over the rules and he remarked, " Last time I was trained, It wasn't my choice, Last I was part of something I did not understand it or care for it,." Now the hand left his chin resting lightly at his side as he remarked, " Being part of something I believe in, and understand and most importantly I agree to will be a nice change of pace." Now both hands laced on his head, the mass of dark red-brown hair being entangled in his hair as he remarked, " Sounds like it will be a blast, so yes I will stand by you, follow your tenets and rules, as for it not being easy one to walk, I've been on it since I could walk it, this is just another step I have to take on that journey."

Svilfon nods his head and for just a moment the smallest fleeting smile plays across his lips. "Then, Rilid, from this moment on you are an Entered Apprentice of the Mage's Guild." The wizard tips his hat to the spellcaster, before carrying on. "I, as others within the guild, can be contacted for advice and lessons. You will listen to our advice and ensure you remain on at least somewhat amicable terms with the leadership of the guild. When we feel you are ready for promotion, you will be tested. Until then, welcome to our headquarters. You may train with those who teach here freely. Do you have any questions?"

Rilid smiled, the monochrome mage remarking lightly, "Sweet." As his eyes once more took in the tower with a small amount of awe trying to take it in all the more, then his red eyes moved back to the mage before him as he remarked, " Yes actually, Do I get a hat?" his red eyes sparkling with a slight glee as he sat, both arms up still entangled in his red hair.

Svilfon, depsite his horrible mood brought on by what he learned earlier, cannot help but snicker at the man's words. "Only the truly worthy get hats... but I'll see what I can do." Svilfon offers Rilid a short bow; a respectful gesture between those who share love for the arcane, before thin tendrils of fire begin to whip up from his feet and wrap around his robed body. "Study hard, Rilid, Entered Apprentice of the Mage's Guild, for I will be watching." With a final grin the flames erupt into bright life, tearing Svilfon from his spot beneath the tower, leaving in their wake nothing but a cloud of smoke which is soon blown away by the lazy Xalious winds...
