RP:A First For Vasha

  • A FIRST FOR VASHA
  • The Restuarant

The constant chink of wooden and glass plates is sounded. Stools have been pulled up to counter and tables, and constantly through a window near the door. The floor is boarded with mahogany slats, matching the ruddy color of the countertop, and nearly all else. Quaint and homely smells emit from the kitchen to the south, hidden behind big, red double doors. Upon each door is a windowed porthole. A list sits atop the counter, ready for your perusal.

Aldred lets himself be announced by the heavy dropping of hooves against the mahogony floors of the establishment. Black swirling pits fall onto the one in the room,"Ah, you must be Vasha."

Vasha takes one step back as the centuar boldly aproached her. Eye's as wide as saucers the young mage tries to answer him, but sadly fails her first attempt. Trying again she stammers, "Yes...yes, that would be me. And you must be Aldred." Holding out her slim hand she says, "It's a pleasure to meet you Sir. Now how can I help you?"

Aldred reaches forward with an appendage, grasping the outstretch hand within his hand just firmly enough. As the hand is released he speaks,"Do not worry yourself. I feel the tension in your voice. And yes I am Aldred, I wish to have a few runes put onto my palms. Ice runes to be exact. What might that cost me?"

Vasha is surprised at the gentleness of Aldreds grip and begins to relax. This is the young mages first up close and personal experience with one of his race and so far it hasn't been unpleasant. She just hoped it stayed that way, "Well the price would go by what you want the runes to do exactly?"

Aldred nods slowly, raising his digits to stroke his chin momentarily before answering, "Well, I would like them to strengthen the Ice magic that I already posses. Nothing much just enough to make casting a bit easier."

Vasha thinks his request over and nods once, "I can do that for you. Is 500 gold too much?"

Aldred shakes his head with a thinly stretched grin upon his features, "No that sounds fine. If I find the work satisfactory you may get a bonus."

Vasha gestures towards a table by the wall and smiles, "Well then, if your ready I'll do them now. That table should do for me to place my tools on." Walking over she places her pouch down and removes her thing; needles, ink, cloth's, and most important of all her rune stone. Letting her gaze rise up to meet Aldred's she gives him a wink, "Just let me hold your hand, palm up and try and relax."

Aldred walks over to the table, hooves once more providing a thunderous boom against the flooring. Slowly the centaur lowers himself to a level at which the artist could work at and removes his gauntlets, presenting the first of his palms to her.

Vasha is awed for a moment at the sheer size of the centuar and how tiny her hand looked holding his work roughened one. Giving herself a mental shake she gets down to buisness. Lowering her eyelids she sends herself into a light trance and reaches out with her mage energy to the rune stone. Sending her awareness into the trance seemed to come easier each time she did it. The stone seemed to draw her like metal to a magnit. Slowly her eye's open and they seem to glow a bright green for a minute before fading away. Picking up a needle she dips it into the ink and presses it into the flesh of Aldred's palm. Time seems to stand still as the mage softly chants the spell for the power he wanted infused into the tattoo he and it takes on a pleasing shape on his palm. Before long she finishes the first one and lets out the breath she didn't realize she had been holding. Laying down the needle she reaches for the cloth and gentlely wipes off the extra ink and the small amount of blood that had formed. Looking up she asks, "Is this to your liking? If it is then give me your other hand and I'll do that one to match this one."

Aldred raises his hand and allows a bit of his mana to run to the area. The rune begins to glow cerulean and then fades. Aldred now speaks, "Aye, this is perfect." With this said he now presents his next hand.

Vasha takes Aldred's callused hand firmly in her own and begins the process again. This tattoo would match the other one exactly; if it didn't then they wouldn't work. Her soft chanting is the only sound in the otherwise quiet restaurant and it seems to echo before fading away. Time passes quickly and the mage finishes the tattoo and wipes the centuars palm clean. Looking it over she gave a nod of aproval, satisfied at a job well done, "There you go...all finished. I hope they are to your liking. I want my customers to be happy with their tattoo's and feel they got their moneys worth." Turning towards the table Vasha cleans her tools, places the stopper into the ink jar and puts her things away into the pouch she took them from. Letting her gaze return to Aldred, without inwardly flinching at his size, she smiles, "If you want any more done just let me know and please tell your friends about me. I could truely use the work." she chuckles.

Aldred allows a grin to slip onto his face as he tests the work. In one single fluid motion the centaur rotated his hands in opposite directions and places them to match each other exactly. A small chant passes his lips and upon its completion a blue semi-liquid begins to drip from his hands to a point and solidify into a pole about four feet long and an inch in diameter. The centaur now stands once more holding in a single hand a javelin of ice formed in only a matter of seconds. The javelin is wedged into the floor with one forceful motion of the right arm and then Aldred proceeds to dig through his bag until coming across a satin bag filled to the brim with gold coins. A careful eye looks in and without counting he throws it to the woman, "This should be enough for your wonderful work." The bag is then sent through the air to land on the table in front of her, "Enjoy it."

Vasha studies Aldred as he makes a javilen from ice; anything concerning magic caught her eye like a moth to a flame. She wanted to learn about the different forms of magic as much as possible. As the bag of coins settled on the table with a loud clink her grin widened, "Thank you...thank you very much and I'm glad your happy with my work. It truely was a pleasure meeting and doing buisness with you. I hope I will see more of you and it always doesn't have to concern buisness" She wanted to learn more about the centuar and his race.

Aldred nods with a simple grin, "Ah but the pleasure was all mine."

Vasha bowed deeply to Aldred, for he showed the young mage that he had honor and wasn't like some of the people she had met so far in these lands. He had paid her for her work and didn't try to get something from her for free. Blushing a bright red she moves her hand in an arcane motion and in the blink of an eye she disappeared.
