The Cenrilian Times - Church Supporters Behind Explosive Attack on Merchant Street

Early this morning civilians and shop owners living on Merchant Street and nearby areas were rocked awake to the sound of an explosive blast that shattered the windows of several of the stores. The source of the explosion is believed to be magical; as broken runes were found outside of the Cenrili Bank, which is believed to be the target of the attack. The Cenrilian Guard and the Volunteer Brigade were first to respond to the scene, with General Brommson giving orders. The investigative efforts are still underway, and new volunteers have arrived at the scene ever since, helping to board up windows and move debris for safety. It is advised that children not be taken down this street, as there may still be shrapnel on the streets.

When asked about the situation, General Brommson seemed more than eager to give her comment. "Let it be known that we will not accept acts of destruction in this fair city of Cenril. For far too long these people have lived in the shadow of corruption. I fully intend to clean these streets of that corruption. Expect rebuilding, expect the cultists to be cleared out, expect whoever is responsible for this, expect the supporters of the church to be apprehended. Expect the unexpected; expect great things for this city. Cenril will rise anew. These people are hardy folk; they will survive even this. We did not fall to the Werewolf, we did not fall to the Sea, we did not fall to the Fires, we did not fall to the Gangs, and we will not fall to this." Her words were remarkably well received by those present.
