    • After a meeting between Macon of Larket and Queen Hildegarde of Frostmaw, wherein the two were unable to agree on the terms of Larket and Frostmaw's future friendship, the relationship between the two cities has taken a rather unsavory turn. All indications highlight that war has been declared.

April 2016

Frostmaw at War! With Satoshi vanished and Hildegarde's recent death, however temporary, the city of war earns it's namesake once again. Dissidents within the giant community rise up and exile the previous 'outsider government' and any others they consider not to be native. Determined to rule themselves once again, these malcontents raise Balgruf to the throne. Hildegarde, now exiled from her own nation, gather allies from around hollow to march on the frozen north and retake her home

    • Tragedy! Hildegarde's army camp in Xalious was bombarded by catapult with projectiles most foul to draw the dragon out. As she marched on her attackers, her forces were pinned in the mountain pass and rained death upon from above by giants lead by Trajek and Balder. They drove their attackers off, but at great losses to themselves and little to the enemy. Spirits dashed, the allied forces retreat to treat their wounded and count the dead.

    • An official posting has been made upon the tavern board, after recent issues involving the Sylvan Elves in Frostmaw becoming displeased with the Drow, and in turn resorting to calling out the City of War in the matter. Frostmawian citizens have in-turn voiced their own complaints about the discontent and rumors Elves have raised, many feeling slandered and personally insulted, thus resulting in the posting before tempers lead to bloodshed in typical Frostmaw fashion. The post is readily available in the city's tavern, and invites any unhappy Sylvan Elves to leave Frostmaw permanently.
      • To those Slyvan folk ill at ease,

It would appear gratitude, understanding, and open-mindedness are not features a number of the Sylvan folk possess. I hope this is a small number, however the recent mutterings behind hands and sideways glances given to the people of Frostmaw--most especially my honorable and gentlehearted Steward--in past weeks proves otherwise. Frostmaw opened its doors to you, granted you refuge, shelter, food, and life, where otherwise you would have been hunted and slain. You have made homes here, lives, crafts, and friends. And you repay it with this slander and blatant disregard for respecting your hosts. Your quarrel with the drow is not Frostmaw's quarrel, for they have never wronged us and have always kept the peace. Frostmaw does not fight the battles earned and built by others, do not think to hide behind our skirts while likewise whispering that we are weak, traitorous, or vile. Such two-faced, mewling tactics are not welcome in the City of War. We are not your personal mercenaries. You chose a war willingly, face it like warriors. Likewise, any who dislike Frostmaw's methods and alliances are not obligated to remain in the realm--the gates aren't far, please use them immediately. Although an unpayable debt is owed to us for what we did for you, we would prefer to wipe it out of existence and wish you on your way, rather than to further tolerate the discourtesy of an ungrateful guest. Begone, Frostmaw has no room in its lands for rumor-mongers, malcontents, and backstabbers. Fight your own battles, and do not think to come crying to us once again, for you will find our doors firmly closed to thankless beggars. Fairweather friends you have proven yourselves. Dwell long and hard on this: in the past conflicts, which side stuck to their words and agreements? Which conducted themselves honorably, offering fair and just terms to a soundly defeated foe? And in opposition, which resorted to harassment, ambush, and cowardly tactics? Which spent more time in-fighting and name-calling? Perhaps the drow are not the problem in this matter. Frostmaw will no longer play host to a 'guest' so disrespectful, slanderous, and ungrateful. When a soul is without a bed for the night, and is offered the home of another, the proper response is not to accept the offer while insulting their family dog, their wife, and their choice of decor. All Sylvan Elves who carry such beliefs are here-by banished from Frostmaw and no longer permitted within our borders--those who have made homes and lives, who have found happiness, contentment, and comradery without throwing our hospitality in our faces, you remain welcome as family. The rest, you have made your bed, it is time you lay yourself down in it.

    • Frostmaw's queen officially recognizes Hildegarde the Silver, Captain of the Queen's Guard, as her Steward. At present, the position does not include or require further duties for Hildegarde, but rather it acknowledges her rank in the city and the respect she's earned among the people. As Steward, Hildegarde is authorized to act and speak for Lady Frostmaw in any moments of the latter's absence. It has been assured that Lady Frostmaw is not intending on resigning from her office or abandoning the city, having been quoted with, "My position in Vailkrin and the Mage's Guild requires my attention at points in time. I wish to insure that Frostmaw is never without a figure of authority should I not be present when a need arises. I will never turn my back on Frostmaw." As such, the Steward can be contacted concerning Frostmaw matters and respond in similar ranking to the Queen, allowing the city to run smoothly at all times.

February 2014

  • February 20
    • As the city continues to rebuild, its people are active at all hours. The curfew has been lifted, bodies placed upon the pyres to be put to rest, homes bolstered and fortified. Little by little, Frostmaw restores itself. The fort, half-demolished in the prior battles, is still heavily under construction, with Lady Frostmaw present and immersed in the project--some report that they've yet to see the queen rest since she returned from slaying Hrathgar. During the work, Satoshi spoke with her apprentice, Ezekiel, and hired him to design the new defenses for the fort, as a test for his promotion in the Mage's Guild.
      • A disturbance in Frostmaw Tavern earlier was caused by, surprisingly, Hildegarde the Silver. The exact details of the situation are unknown, but the knight seemed distressed as she shouted and threw a table. Perhaps the pressures of war sit more heavily on some than others.

  • February 17
    • Frostmaw continues to recover from the war's end. The people's spirits have been lifted by the ongoing success of the Titans of Winter Tournament. The tournament has entered the semi-final rounds, with Frostmaw's beloved Dragon Knight in the running.

  • February 3
    • While defending the city itself from an attack by the Exile Army's chimera-like creations, the Earthen and Frozen Sentinel have inadvertently caused damage to Frostmaw's fort. The building has had portions of it collapse entirely, while others suffered structural and minimal damage. Repairs and improvements are underway, while the city works to recover from the war.

January 2014

  • January 21-26
    • Skirmishes, battles, and clashes surge around Frostmaw as the war rages with the Exiles. Chartsend, Gualon, Larket, and Vailkrin forces join in the frays, alongside the City of War's own soldiers and The Eyrie's aerial warriors. Overall, Frostmaw appears to be winning, as their numbers, arms, and training are superior. Although the Exiles have claimed many lives with their forest-fighting, despite possessing meager armaments. Their mounted deathknight squads provide trouble for the much larger Frost Giant warriors, as Frostmawians rarely do battle against anything smaller than themselves. The battles continue, although rumor spreads that the Exile Leader intends to face Frostmaw's Queen personally soon.

  • January 21
    • The final battles to end the conflict between Exiles and Frostmaw have begun, with the enemy forces sending beasts of the air to test The Eyrie's strength. Foe and friend alike fell in the aerial battle, with aid coming from unexpected sources--including the the legendary Cyrothain. Eventually, the Exiles' wyverns were downed or fled, and the reanimated dragons slain with the combined might of Frostmaw's warriors. Many of Eyrie's riders died to defend the city, and Frostmaw pays its honors to them.
  • January 20
    • Wings have been sighted on the horizon as the Exiles send in aerial forces of their own to clash with The Eyrie. The distant, but fast approaching, forces seem to consist of various captured Frostmawian wildlife, and a handful of poorly reanimated Undead dragons. The Eyrie prepares to meet the challenge...

  • January 15
    • The axe has been returned, the final battle is imminent. Forces on both sides prepare themselves for the conclusion of the Frostmaw War. The Exiles arm themselves with Frost Giants, captured wyverns, Winter Wolf packs, forsaken Monks of Aramoth, and the stolen Undead of Frostmaw's plague victims. Frostmaw's giants and The Eyrie's riders are ready, allied alongside Chartsend legionnaires, Larketian knights, Vailkrinian undead warriors, and Gualon's orcish troops.

December 2013

  • December 25
    • After months of attacks, skirmishes, battles, and retaliations, the city of Frostmaw has delivered to the exile camps the Axe of War. The axe grants the exile forces a final decision, to be made within two week's time: concede defeat, or face the full wrath of Frostmaw in a last battle to end the war. The city stands prepared for the answer, its forces gathered, plans drawn, and arms at the ready.
  • December 10
    • Posters can be found throughout Frostmaw, and placed upon other city boards, declaring Zane banned from Frostmaw, under penalty of death. A details sketch of the vampire is included, provided by those that witnessed his crimes--crimes which include wanton poaching, vandalism of city property, harassment of Queensguard, and threat to the crown and her people. 60,000 gold is offered for his death should he be found in Frostmaw.
      • An additional party is offering 80,000 gold, for Zane's death, and proof that he was tortured beforehand. Rumors are spreading that this is being offered by the Assassin's Guild, as a recruitment drive.

November 2013

  • November 30
    • All casualties from the siege at Aramoth's Academy, in the western region, have been accounted for. All wounded have been tended to, with families compensated for their losses. Few troops of the Chartsend garrison survived; leaving only two soldiers along with their captain.
      • An artefact from the Academy has been removed and placed into the custody of the throne, for the sake of protection and the greater good of the people. Few are aware of what said artefact is, though.

October 2013

  • October 28
    • Numerous witnesses claim to have seen the patron deity of Frostmaw, Aramoth, join the army at the gates in order to beat back a skirmish of exiles. The army found victory and many citizens are rejoicing; praising Aramoth and his infinite might.

  • October 5
    • Chartsend's Desert Legionnaires are withdrawn from Frostmaw to tend to matters in their own lands. Shortly after the western warriors depart, skirmishes have begun to break out outside Frostmaw's city walls, as portions of the Frost Giant army seek to retaliate against raiding parties of Exiles. Said raiding parties have met a difficult obstacle now that The Eyrie's agile fighters patrol the air, providing a secondary, swift-acting, and potent means of defense the Exiles are unused to combatting with. When asked about the aerial forces' involvement, Lady Frostmaw had only to say, "Frostmaw has been challenged, of course her skies will join in the fight as well. And so too will the rest of it."

September 2013

  • September 18
    • A new captain of the Queensguard has been named, with Hildegarde the Silver succeeding the former leader, Tharn. The prior captain, after having been missing for two weeks, has returned, only to die of injuries inflicted by the Exiles. The exact circumstances are unknown, with Lady Frostmaw refusing to provide details. Upon her insistence, Tharn was to be given the traditional funeral pyre, as well as all the victims of the Ice Plague--despite a limited supply of lumber in Frostmaw. However, when the funeral priests were sent to retrieve the bodies of the deceased from their temporary storage, all one hundred and twelve victims were missing. Frostmaw's queen assures her people that the theft of so many Frost Giant corpses will not go unanswered. All warriors of the city are ordered to prepare, as the City of War readies itself for war upon the Exiles and the Ice Devils.

  • September 9
    • Lady Frostmaw has returned to the city, appearing worse for the wear and strangely triumphant. When asked where she went, no answer is given, however she makes promises that the source of the illness will no longer be a problem. But that it is also time to focus on finding a cure. Her bodyguard and captain of the Queensguard, Tharn, is still missing.
      • The illness in Frostmaw, now being dubbed the Ice Plague, seems to have stopped spreading and water is once more being distributed more readily. Caution is still being used throughout the city, however the Lady of Frostmaw assures her people that no magical sickness will infect Lake Frysta again. At the same time, those that have fallen ill have gotten worse with each passing day, for no cure has been found. The Ice Plague seems to affect Frost Giants specifically, or any small animals that drank heavily of the once contaminated water. More die by the day as their bodies waste away from lack of nourishment and severe fevers. Frostmaw has felt the largest loss today, as the majority of a platoon was stricken with the plague. To make matters worse, the dead are not able to be put to rest by traditional means with funeral pyres, as all spare lumber is being devoted to preparations of war. Wood supplies are limited with the camp having been massacred, and Ice Devil ambushes being frequent.

  • September 6
    • As the strange malady continues to spread in Frostmaw, more Frost Giants have fallen ill and two have died, with still no sign of a potential cure. Ice Devil attacks are becoming more frequent, as The Eyrie patrols report on their constant scouting missions over the forests. The City of War prepares itself, calling home warriors and gathering forces, although there are whisperings that something is wrong with Lady Frostmaw. She has not been seen in nearly a week's time, and her bodyguard Tharn, is likewise missing, whereas the two have frequently been present to oversee all issues. Those people with alternative means of contacting the Queen have found their magical messengers returned without success in delivery, leading to a thickening of the uneasy shroud that settles over Frostmaw.

August 2013

  • August 27
    • Six Frost Giants have fallen severely ill, two of them elderly and the other four young children. The illness carries symptoms of high fevers, chills, delirium, and refusal of food or drink. It is also believed this sickness is of magical origin, as there has been no success in healing through herbal, natural, or divine means. Whether this illness is connected to the contaminated water supplies of Frostmaw are yet unconfirmed. Citizens are urged to report to the city shamans should they feel ill in any way, in hopes of catching it in early stages or preventing an outbreak.

  • August 26
    • Until further notice, Frostmaw has issued a ban from drinking any water supplied by Lake Frysta. There is reason to believe the lake has been contaminated, and until investigations prove otherwise, all are warned against consuming the water.
  • August 20
    • A score of Desert Legion from Chartsend have arrived in Frostmaw, under the command of Eliason. The City of War has welcomed the renowned fighters, giving them a place to stay at the Royal Academy of Aramoth, where they are spending their time training for the possible trouble to come. Lady Frostmaw has paid them a visit personally to thank them, while also warning the school to be on alert for potential Ice Devil attacks. A trainer, the Frost Giant warrior Jorbik, was left at the school to teach students and Legionnaires alike how best to combat the Devils.

  • August 18
    • The lumber camp east of the Royal Academy of Aramoth was destroyed today in an unprecedented and unheard of attack by an Ice Devil pack. No survivors were found. The first to the scene were the knight Hildegarde, Lady Frostmaw and her personal guard, Tharn, and King-Consort Kasyr. Upon arrival, the four were ambushed by the Ice Devils. The creatures were destroyed and further investigations are under way for what could have led to them straying out of their homeland to attack a camp of fair size. Frostmaw reaffirms its warning to all citizens and travelers that it is unwise to enter the hunting grounds, ruins, or forests alone, or at all.
      • In lesser news, fisherman on Lake Frysta have voiced complaints and alarm at finding numerous fish dead beneath the ice. While lakelife does expire often, it is rare for carcasses to not be eaten by the other creatures living in the waters. Each fish found was untouched and shows no outward signs of illness.

  • August 13
    • A murderous attempt was made on Frostmaw's queen and the wizard Svilfon. The attackers are believed to be Exiles of the city and former monks of Aramoth. Although the ambush was well set, the Exiles were unsuccessful in capturing or killing Lady Frostmaw or the wizard. A city-wide warning has been issued that recommends not traveling alone outside Frostmaw, and to report all suspicious activity to the City Guard immediately. Rewards are being offered for any information brought forward.

  • August 12
    • Outside the western gates of Frostmaw is the unmarked grave of the Wraith Bozrah in the form of a patch of blackened ice where he fell at Lady Frostmaw's hands. The foul ice has been under guard since the battle between Wraith and Queen, however, as of this morning it was discovered that a portion of the ice has gone missing. The guards saw nothing, blinded by a sudden snowstorm during the night, although they make mention that they heard laughter in the storm. Investigations have begun in determining who or what stole the corrupted element, and the guards have been doubled. A city-wide warning has gone out that any who approach Bozrah's grave will be arrested without question, and those that resist will be executed. Rewards are being offered for anyone with information concerning the strange theft.

  • Throughout the past weeks there have been reported sightings of an increased Ice Devil population. Despite an apparent rise in numbers, the ethereal creatures have not been especially hostile. In the last year there has been a significant drop in reports of Ice Devil attacks. It is uncertain what has caused the decreased aggression and increased numbers.

July 2013

June 2013

  • June 30
    • The final day of the Festival of Aramoth has concluded. It began with the Royal Joust, a jousting competition open to all ranks of citizenship, and all types of mounts. The competition was fierce, and two were slain in the matches, but in the end Frostmaw's own knight, Hildegarde the Silver, triumphed, when she unhorsed her opponent, the Cavalier Noelle--who turned out to be Lady Frostmaw in disguise.
      • The festival closed with an amazing show of prowess during the Gladiator Gauntlet. The entrants, Hildegarde, Misaki, and Kasyr, were subjected to five waves against various Frostmaw beasts. Each wave came with more dangerous creatures, and the final wave consisted of three Exiled Frost Giants that had been granted a Trial by Combat to pardon their crimes. The resulting battle was one of legend, and left the arena floor destroyed and much of the stands damaged. As such, the arena has been closed until repairs can be made. The one who emerged victorious was Frostmaw's King-Consort, Kasyr. Misaki fought bravely, only suffering defeat at the very end, and the knight Hildegarde was downed by an unfortunate and lucky hit during the second wave. The ceremony announcing the winner of the Fight Fest has been delayed due to these events, and will take place the following day.

  • June 27
    • Day Two of the Festival of Aramoth went off with a bang. One of the morning events included a Caber Toss, a sport loved by Frost Giants but new to most other inhabitants of Hollow. This did not seem to sway any from trying, however. Purses of gold were rewarded not only for skill, but effort, quick-wit, and fighting spirit.
      • In the afternoon, Lady Frostmaw hosted a Snowball fight in the arena. Numerous young and young-hearted people attended to battle with snow and strive for the grandprize, with young Strend proving the victor alongside the avian Misaki.
        • Following this event was a proud moment for Frostmaw's tavern keeper, Drargon, as he revealed his newest brew for the Ale Drinking Contest. The new ale, named Cryothain's Tears for its pale white appearance and powerful bite, was a huge hit--and packed an even stronger hit for the unsuspecting Undead in attendance. Many tried to hold out against the ale's potency, but in the end only one was left standing/conscious, Vailkrin's Vampire King. His fortitude has supplied him with a lifetime supply of Cryothain's Tears.

  • June 26
    • Frostmaw's Festival of Aramoth has begun, with the Royal Ball. Many attended in all their finery, to enjoy drinking, eating, dancing, and entertainment--some of which was unplanned and unexpected. As the ball drew a close late in the night, the start of the Fight Fest was announced, an open invitation to one and all to engage in as much combat as they can before the end of the festival. The one who does so has been promised 60,000 gold as a prize.

  • June 19
    • Announcements have been posted in the taverns of various cities, inviting one and all to a ball in Frostmaw to celebrate the completion of the Royal Academy of Aramoth. It promises food, drinks, entertainment, and more for those that attend, while also stating that formal attire is mandatory. The ball is set to begin in the early evening (4pm Hollow Time) of next week (Wednesday the 26th).
      • Along with the royal ball, Frostmaw will be hosting a four day festival with a wide variety of events catered to every sort of festival-goer. The main event is a Fight Fest that will run the length of the festival, with a 60,000 gold prize to the winner.

  • June 5
    • Brief alarm was caused in the city when rumors started of a bear having entered Frostmaw's Tavern, inexplicably wearing a dress. The rumors were later disproved by Lady Frostmaw as, in fact, being the Knight Hildegarde the Silver in lady's wear. The source of the misinformation was a severely inebriated Wood Elf by the name of Alesahr Viriwind. Witnesses to the scene have made mention that there will possibly be a formal Ball in Frostmaw soon, although they lacked further details at this time.

May 2013

  • May 22
    • From deep in Frostmaw's wilds, an enormous explosion was seen and heard from as far as the city's heart. It was described as a pillar of roaring fire, with tendrils of flame shooting off it and into the woods. The stray tendrils, wherever they struck, burned for a long time each before dwindling, the craters quickly buried in Frostmaw's perpetual snowfall. None of the fires seem to have spread into the trees, and captains of The Eyrie have stated no innocents were harmed by the explosion. Lady Frostmaw has confirmed these statements, saying that the only casualties were known poachers being punished for their crimes.

March 2013

  • March 20
    • The final match of the Titans of Winter tournament is set to happen in the coming days, a meeting of two of Frostmaw's own: the wizard Svilfon, and Hildegarde the Silver. With the approaching end to the tournament, the storm over the northern region too seems to be ebbing. Winds, sleet, and lightning have all but vanished, and only a heavy snowfall remains. The skies remain thickly occupied by the saurian inhabitants of Frostmaw now that they have all awakened from their Winter slumbers.

  • March 8
    • The semi-finals are kicked off with Svilfon versus Vehara, where Frostmaw's wizard came out victorious. Frostmaw's Winter storm also seems to be waning in ferocity after nearly a month. Snowfall is still heavy, however the wind and sleet have relatively disappeared.
      • The strange activity and noises in the ruins continue, although they have grown muted, as if the source has either begun to depart or return to hibernation. Information is still unclear about the source, with the Lady of Frostmaw offering only one comment, 'When have you ever known the ruins to be mild, logical, or quiet?'

[A unearthly howling rolls out from the western ruins, a sound that carelessly knocks aside the comfort of hearth and home, casually burrows beneath clothing, mercilessly cuts through flesh, to sink icy fangs into bone and soul of the city's occupants. It is a screech that kindles fear even in the breasts of Frostmaw's fiercest, instinct urging them to draw their weapons or loved ones closer. A dragon's defiant roar, a banshee's fatal screech, a lycan's bloodthirsty howl, it is kin to each yet more primal than any. Perhaps it is simply the keening of the storm's wind twisted into a macabre scream as it races through the winding passages of crumbling, ancient stonework. The ruins have been known to create strange noises before, after all. Or perhaps it is the voice of one of the ethereal occupants of the timeless battlefield, awakened and hungry.]

February 2013

  • February 22
    • [The Winter storm's heavy snowfall has progressed into sleet, driven nearly sideways by gusts of alternatively temperate and bitingly arctic wind. The saurian aerial activity grows in size and enthusiasm as the flocks of wyverns, drakes, and Frost dragons eagerly challenge arcs of lightning and bursts of thunder alike. Frostmaw's remaining wildlife has, for the most part, withdrawn to wait out the storm and avoid the eye of newly-awakened and hungry saurian beasts.]

  • February 19
    • The first match of the Titans of Winter tournament has taken place, a fierce battle between the Knight Hildegarde, and the Secondboy of House Al'reim, Seriis. Hildegarde proved victorious in the end, knocking Seriis from the tournament and herself moving forward to the next brackets.
      • Following the end of the match, a heavy snowfall has started in Frostmaw, the beginning of the storm that has been building for days now. Scraps of thunder and lightning can be heard high among the cloud cover. With the storm's rising, Frostmaw's saurian wildlife has grown more active. Wyverns, drakes, and a few species of dragons that have been in hibernation during the heaviest of the Winter season are now awakening, easily glimpsed diving and soaring in large numbers among the storm clouds.
  • February 12
    • As the second annual Titans of Winter tournament preparations get under way, an immense storm brews over Frostmaw. Black, heavy clouds have loomed over the region for days, bringing with it an energized quality to the air and wildlife. Those attuned and familiar with Frostmaw claim it will be a powerful storm, the last one of Winter, and well timed to greet the tournament's opening days.

2012

October 2012

  • October 14
    • Construction of the Royal Academy is still ongoing, and now has reached a quickened pace with the approach of Frostmaw's notoriously brutal Winter season. It is the hope of laborers and designers alike that the building's exterior will be completed before November at this rate, just in time to brace itself for the first of the many storms to come.
      • The restless air continues to hang in the Ruins, growing with the approach of Winter. The numerous beings that reside there have been seen to roam close to their borders, and while none have been hostile--save for the always aggressive Ice Devils--their increased presence has been met with discomfort by workers in the area. Those that have gone near the beings have reported mixed feelings of tension, longing, eagerness, and avidity, as if they are awaiting something long promised and desired. Singing of an ethereal nature has also been heard coming from deep in the Ruins, although none have been able to identify the language or languages used, only remarking that it invokes images of Winter in the mind.

September 2012

  • September 28
    • While all lies quiet in the city at present, it is less a quiet of lax peace and instead akin to the patient waiting of a hunter. Citizens and visitors alike have commented on this feeling permeating the air, seeming to originate from the Ruins, as all oddities of the northern lands tend to.

August 2012

  • August 17
    • Laborers seeing to the construction of the Royal Academy of Aramoth have begun to voice complaints about attacks from Ice Devils. Although the other ethereal inhabitants of the ancient ruins have grown quiet recently, the normally elusive devils have become more hostile, trading occasional solitary ambushes for unprovoked assaults. Lady Frostmaw has issued a call to all capable warriors, offering [pay] for the slaying of these violent beings. The job is considered to be extremely dangerous and those interested are forewarned to only accept if they're truly certain of their abilities.
  • August 14
    • Frostmaw/Satoshi Azakhaer: Calling all skilled warriors, hunters, and sellswords in search of coin. Frostmaw is paying a high price to any that are willing to lend your strength in an on-going project. Must have above average skills in combat, and cannot balk if faced with highly dangerous, unusual, and violent beings. Speak with Satoshi for further details about your prey and your pay.

July 2012

  • Despite the looming threat of possible war, Frostmaw carries on its day to day activities without pause. The clean-up project set for the old ruins is well under way, with the restoration of the gates, bridge, and some of the buildings, along with paving of the entrance road. Efforts continue to restore this land to its former glory and build a Combat Academy in tribute to Frostmaw's patron God, Aramoth. Reports have been made that the various spirits and entities haunting the ruins have become a good deal less hostile in recent weeks. It is speculated that either the War God favors this honor to him, or that perhaps something else has quelled the restless.

May 2012

  • May 15
    • The Summer season has arrived early in Frostmaw, heralded by an unusually large amount of thunderstorms striking the forests near the city. Small forest fires have broken out although all have been quelled swiftly so far. One particularly large storm came with reports of a Kirin sighting.

April 2012

  • April 15
    • Frostmaw's arena is closed until further notice as crews work to repair severe damage inflicted upon the stadium by a Grey Dragon's rampage. The dragon, known to have repeatedly assaulted people of the city, was killed by Frostmaw's King, Queen, and Knight-Captain in the process. The structure is expected to reopen within a week's time.
  • April 1
    • A small skirmish outside Frostmaw's western gate took place between a raiding party of Exiles, Winter wolves, and ice wyverns, against the city's Justice Redovian and its Queen Satoshi, alongside helpful travelers and the dragon/rider pair of the Eyrie, Firewing and Jextar. None of the raiders are believed to have survived although the body of their leader, ex-general Hrathgar, was not found among the dead. Little further information is available, as the occurrence of small raiding bands are commonplace and easily quashed by Frostmaw's warriors, leaving little to be reported.

March 2012

  • March 2
    • The ancient ruins of Frostmaw continue to produce strange noises, and those attuned to spiritual and arcane workings have reported sensing unusual patterns coming from the area, although nothing belligerent has been detected, everything being described simply as "Odd." A shaman healer of the city has said he senses conflicting emanations of peace and unrest coming from the old battlefield during these times. Those that have attempted to travel to the zone in hopes of discovering the source have returned unsuccessful, often with stories about being warded off by a 'large animal-like ghost', halted by impenetrable walls of frozen fog and snowy winds, misled by arctic will-'o-wisps, and other such ethereal oddities that seem set upon deterring intruders without harming them.
      • The Lady of Frostmaw has been seen coming and going from the ruins, but always at a distance. Sight of her is lost whenever attempts at approaching have been made. Most citizens have written off the rumors as their queen working on a personal project for the betterment of the city.
  • March 1
    • The Titans of Winter tournament ends with the final victory going to Eboric after a fierce clash with Frostmaw's King Consort. So ends the season of Death with bloodshed and celebration enough to properly ring in the season of Rebirth for the northern people.

February 2012

  • February 20
    • The Semi-Finals of the Frostmaw Tournament have ended with the advancement of Kasyr Azakhaer, and the Warlord Eboric to the Championship round.
      • The Lady of Frostmaw's presence has been absent from the last number of rounds, replaced by the diligent wizard Svilfon. Witnesses note seeing her in the western ruins and abandoned battlefields, supposedly tending to the burial of the long-forgotten dead out there.

January 2012
