Information on Kaaname
Having started his magical career serving as an apprentice to Brenwyn, Kaaname adopted a similar love for studying all things magic and magical-theory. Unlike his senior, however, Kaaname found more entertainment to be found in the field, often traveling to locations pointed out from tips submitted to the Guild to investigate arcane anomalies. During one such travel in Vailkrin, Kaaname was assaulted and sired by a vampire. His wife, Ynntrasu, who was in the region with their daughter was killed by the same vampire, whose identity has remained unknown to the present day. Rumors surfaced that Kaaname traded his life for that of his wife's, though such claims are punishable by expulsion if mentioned on the Tower's grounds. The widowed Provost now serves as a magic-theory scholar for younger students who wish to join the Mage's Guild upon age.
