Description

  • Name: Sir Baelok Parellius
  • Gender: Male
  • Homeland: Long Ago in Cenril, but spends most of his time in Vailkrin in his undeath.
  • Position of Note: Former Knight of Cenril. After death, resurrected to fight with the Forsaken Knights during the war of the Immortals. Recently brought back to watch over Raevyn McGowan until she separates herself from Nasada's hold.
  • Relationship with the people across the land: Baelok tend to keep a low profile for the most part. Known to cause a fight or two in Vailkrin from time to time, but has been a bit inactive as of late.
  • Relationship with played characters: Baelok hates pretty much everyone that has flowing blood. Wishes for the death of mortal kind. He is sworn to protect Raevyn at all costs and will not hesitate to kill anyone that gets in his way. Developed a brief softness for Raevyn's friend Celaeno, but that was only after a lot of wearing down.
  • Current Status: Missing. Last seen in Larket fending of guards so that Raevyn and Celaeno could escape with a newly uncovered tome.

Baelok Parellius

Formerly the undead zombie known as 'Rawr', Baelok is now closer to the man he once was in life. As it turns out, the lifelike mask that Bastion had delivered was a key item in a binding ritual. It appears that it was promised to Baelok in exchange for his word to keep Raevyn safe from harm. While Celaeno and Raevyn were discussing their place in the Necromancer's Guild, 'Rawr' picked up the mask and slipped it on, setting off a strange transformation.

Physique

Baelok now towers over Raevyn at a height of six foot five, and seems to have gained much more bulk. He is barrel chested, with muscular arms and legs, almost as if he had not even been buried so many years prior. Across his pecs is a band of strange inked letters that the girl believes is the series of sigils that allow Baelok to keep this form in his undeath. His facial structure was oddly not much effected. While the holes and divots were mostly filled in, he still carries that skull like appearance. Bald. Sunken, milky white eyes void of iris and pupil. No nose present. And still without lips, showcasing large yellowed teeth at all times. Surprisingly, even without lips, he seems to have no trouble speaking in any sense.

Style

The undead death knight wears a custom black and silver breastplate beneath a black, reinforced scale mail duster. His hands are protected by a pair of black, spiked gauntlets. Over gray cotton pants, he wears black greaves, paired with spiked knee-guards. His feet are protected only by black leather boots enchanted for speed. In order to defend himself and the one he is sworn to protect, Baelok wields a large two-handed sword that is often carried upon his back.

Attitude

Once a noble and honorable man in life, Baelok is now, essentially, a miserable bastard. He is angry. Murderous. Uncaring- Even for the girl he is sworn to protect. To him, she is just a job, and once they are to part ways he will not care less if she just up and expires. And it is because of this that when they are together, he is often to be found criticizing and insulting the girl, taking any chance he can to be that cold miserable shell. To knock her down a peg on her best of days. Although, in all fairness, she is not the only to suffer this abuse. Any that cross his path are subject to his ire, as the man seems to always be looking for some sort of fight. He has a strange bloodlust that desires to be sated. When he is not being a complete ass or guarding the young necromancer, Baelok might be found stalking near a pub of some sort while he nurses a glass of whiskey and smokes upon a cigar. It's not like either provide any sort of benefit- Old habits die hard.

History

There is not a whole lot currently known about Baelok Parellius, outside of what he claims. ...Which is very little. As it goes: Long ago he served as a Knight to the city of Cenril. His death is something he claims to not recall, although Raevyn feels that this is a lie. Who would not remember such an important part of their life? From death until this very day, there is not much information shared, things that the necromancer thinks he is hiding. It is known that he was called upon from the grave by an unknown benefactor whom Raevyn had originally thought was Larewen. Baelok will not reveal whom he signed a contract with, but with time, the truth will come out.
