Mermaid-Star Tattoo Sleeve - (Armor: Arm +10 bonus)

Description:

On the underside of Khitti's left forearm is a scene depicting a mermaid with purple hair and an orange tail preening herself on a rock, surrounded by coral and ocean flowers. It's framed by large waves of varying blue hues and flows into the water of the nautical star just below it on her wrist. The points of the star itself are split in color, alternating between dark blue and black. Water surrounds and encompasses this star, colored in lovely blues and light shades of green, almost as if were caught up in an ocean wave.

History:

This, as well as the star on her right wrist, was inked by Meri not long after Khitti and the psion first met, back when Khitti was still a vampire. The fire star on her right wrist represented her love for Brand, while its mirror (the water star) was dedicated to Dominic (Brand's former other half;an entity created by a fractured mind thanks to some really heavy trauma in Brand's past). Despite Dominic melding back into Brand not long after Khitti got the tattoos, the sentiment still remains--while Brand favors fire out of all his elemental magic, water/ice is certainly his next strongest. The mermaid portrait is one of a real mermaid. Nemona is the one that (unwillingly) provided Khitti with the scales needed for her vampirism cure, and when Khitti was reborn, saved her from drowning when the gods saw fit to drop her into the sea near Cenril. To this day, the mermaid and Khitti still help one another and Khitti may also secretly have a crush on her.
