Limited Item Transfer Allowance

Limited Item Transfer Allowance (LITA)

We understand that our players put a lot of work into Hollow and into their characters, so it is understandably frustrating when their characters reach their natural end and it’s time to create a new character and lose all that’s been gained.

With this in mind, the admin team are introducing a Limited Item Transfer Allowance (LITA) for players.

What can I transfer?

Quite simply, players will be permitted to transfer a limited amount of items/gold to their new character. We’ll break this down into categories below.

Gold/Silver/Copper

You can transfer up to 200,000 gold (200k). This may seem like a large amount of gold but considering that earning this amount takes a lot of hard work and statting, it seems unfair to let it go to waste. Especially for statters who are willing to lose the high level stats they’ve earned in order to start a new character.

Custom Items and Quest Rewards

Not transferable. You can, however, sell back your custom items at 50% value, get the gold and then transfer that up to the 200k limit.

Exception: While lore items CANNOT be transferred to your new character, you may surrender them to the admin for them to put back into play at their discretion. In this way, you leave a mark on Hollow lore and history. You can propose an item from your inventory that you think is worthy of this distinction for admin consideration.

Non-custom Items

As these fall under a wide umbrella of items, we've tried to categorise these as best as possible whilst remaining reasonable:

  • Consumables with no effect and other miscellaneous items with no apparent use, you can transfer up to 10 types
    • For example: If you transfer 5 pies and 6 lilies, this counts as transferring 2 types of items. You may still select another 8 consumables with no effects
  • Non-custom pets can be transferred up to 10 types.
  • Clothes up to +2, you can transfer up to 10 types.
    • Clothes above +2 cannot be transferred.
  • Restoratives cannot be transferred.
  • Item Exception: If you have a specific collection of items (e.g. collecting spoons, collecting flowers) and you don't want to lose this collection, you can petition the admin team to have your collection transferred across inventories. You must include this petition in your application and explain why this collection is important to you.

Rules

All transfers must be made by and sanctioned by the admin. Each player gets ONE TRANSFER PER YEAR so as to prevent the abuse of this system. These transfers are limited by player, not character. If you wish to apply for this, you must send your application to Applications where it will be reviewed by the admin team. Changes may be made at admin discretion.

How do I apply?

You have to send your application to the Applications inbox for the admin to review.

You can copy and paste the following to send to Applications:

  • Name of Current Character:
  • Amount of time with current character: (approx).
  • Name of New Character:
  • Amount of gold you wish to transfer:
  • Consumable items + miscellany you wish to transfer (list 1 to 10):
  • Non-custom pets you wish to transfer (list 1 to 10):
  • Clothes up to 2+ AC you wish to transfer (list 1 to 10):
  • Are there any items you feel deserve the distinction of lore or historical relevance? YES/NO
    • If yes, please state which item and why you think this should be the case.
  • Do you have any special collections you wish to transfer? YES/NO
    • If yes, please state what and why you think this should be permitted.

All of these questions MUST be answered to the best of your ability.

The admin team will then take your request into consideration. During this process, you may be mailed by administrators asking for additional information that must be provided.

Please note that you are not guaranteed a transfer just by applying and you cannot appeal this decision; it is final. Players that item transfer outside of this permitted allowance will be breaking the rules and can be appropriately punished.
