Description:
The Kiwi is a shy, flightless bird found in remote mountainous regions of Xalious. Roughly the size of a large chicken, with a long narrow beak, extremely long, thick legs, no tail and vestigial nubs in place of wings. Its brown plumage more closely resembles shaggy hair than feathers. It is the only bird with nostrils at the end of its beak, which it uses to snuffle for grubs and other forest-floor treats.
