IC
The acronym IC stands for In Character. This term refers to when a player of any Role-Playing Game (RPG) does something within the game that his or her character would normally do. For example, Bob enters Kelay Tavern with a smile on his face. In this case, since there was no ooc following Bob's name, the action is taken as an In-Character action.
OOC
The acronym OOC stands for Out Of Character. This term refers to when a player of any Role-Playing Game (RPG) does something within the game that his or her character would not normally do. For example, Bob oocly bashes Joe. In this case, there was an ooc after Bob's name, the action of 'bashes Joe' is taken out of character and will not count to any RP.
