- Hyssop is about 10–12 species of herbaceous or semi-woody plants. They are fragrant, with upright branched stems up to 60 cm long covered with delicate hairs at the tips. Little blue flowers blossom on the upper parts of the branches during the summer. The leaves are narrow and oblong, reaching 2–5 cm in length.
It must have mutated somewhere along the way because it now attacks innocent (and maybe not-so-innocent) people foraging in the woods and open fields.
