An extremely rare flower that glows with a variety of different colors, offering powerful protection against errant magic.

History:

In an event which is as rare as wizard's teeth, the powerful and sacred Xalious Tree flowered for the first time in living (and undead) memory. Only a few people were lucky enough to find the flowers which were hidden from most by a complex series of spells that required the right combination of knowledge and intuition to defeat. Though, little is actually known about their precise properties, they seem to offer a strong protective aura for those few who carry them. How long until the tree flowers again is unknown, even to the highest ranked members of the Mage's Guild who are privy to the secrets of the Tree, birthed when the Archmage Xalious gave up mortality to become the God of Magic, making the flowers both valuable and cherished for all who own them and all who still seek them.
