Description:

Ranok's armor follows a simple philosophy. Protect the vitals, and the rest of the wounds can be patched up if you win. Mobility and flexibility at the cost of protection, the armor suits to serve. Metal of a bone white alloy serves as the plates, protecting areas such as the chest, back, forearms, shoulders, outside of the thighs, and upper arms. The spaces where there is no plate is large, but covered with ghroundium underweave, the cloth stacked up to serve as protection that's as good as any chainmail while being more flexible. While tending to be heavier then average, the armor is well made and the man that wears it is more then able to deal with the weight. In this case, his hands are backed with small plates on the back of the knuckles, terminating at the end of the first knuckle to allow for keeping the fingers deft. Flows into his sleeves and under the vambraces that sit upon his forearms.

History:

Made when creating a set of armor custom tailored for himself as soon as he gained access to a forge, Ranok decided to forgo the complete coverage full plate would have granted, taking mobility and ease of wear. The armor has been regular thing since its creation, and Ranok is rarely seen outside of it. An aspect of something greater then the sum of its parts.
