Fight:Ymheshphilun Wages War

From HollowWiki

Ymheshphilun and Ramsi VS Kain, Lenobia, Rinonia, Shadryn, Sammi, Terra, and Shishi.

Victory goes to Ym, if I do say so myself. At least from how the RP went.

The RP

Sammi wanders along slowly, deep in thought, head down and ears drooping miserably

Anyone in the area was suddenly aware of a sound, and an eerily familiar one to Sammi. It whispered evilly, like the wind that heralds a deadly snowstorm, like dead leaves brushing against bone, like a small army marching to war. It grew gradually, getting louder and closer, until it was right beneath them--then, right at it's climax... it stopped completely. Dead silence.

Sammi stops dead her face going white unsure which way to run- for that was the one thought above all other in her mind, to flee and not look back

Terra happened to be in the area. An uneventful stroll alongside a tiny yellow-bodied companion seemed to take a turn for the worst. Moments like there were expected in Vailkrin where bones and evil went hand in hand, but here in the paved streets of Kelay? It warrants a pause, legs frozen to their spot even as her mousecub continued onwards, investigating. A pale-faced Sammi is spotted but before she could call, make an inquiry about the noise and its range, it stopped. Peace? Or calm before the storm?

Ymheshphilun suddenly exploded from the ground between Sammi and Terra, his massive black exoskeleton reflecting the rapidly fading sunlight in a way that just felt -wrong-. His three compound, pupilless eyes were possibly the blackest things either of them had ever seen, and his legs pulsed in revolting waves, rippling down his body, propelling him out of the hole. He shot ten feet straight up, then held that part of his body upright as the other thirty feet of it slithered out horizontally. His eyes, those unwavering, unblinking, emotionless orbs of darkness fixated themselves on Terra's, not leaving her for a moment as he finished exiting the ground.

Sammi whimpers faintly, her eyes flickering around. Seeing Terra she bolts toward the elf, screaming, "RUN!"

Terra fell witness to a color that deep before - it was known simply as Death, associate with the harbingers. A widening pit of unease - a chasm, really - doesn't help settle the nerves of the empath as a half-step backwards was taken, leaves crunched beneath booted feet. Pika, the loyal pet that had accompanied her on the trip simply rises on his back legs, paws held in front while his head cocked towards the side, "Pi?" A hard swallow then, worried about the disturbance her friend had caused, and the vampire is left to glance around in attempt to seek shelter or a way to combat a giant ... bug. Not high up on her list of favorite things. Seems none of these were viable options as the stranger seemed to be coming towards her, fear palpable even without empathetic abilities. The one word is obeyed - she ran. Over broken foliage and grainy pebbles, paved stones and blood spatters, there's nothing to deter herself (or Pika, for that matter) from the latter of the fight or flight policy.

Ymheshphilun eased forward, unhurriedly picking up speed, matching their pace in only a few seconds. He could go far faster than this, of course, though he felt it unnecessary. He lowered his entire body to the ground, allowing all his legs to grip and pull, rippling in sickening waves down the sides of his body. His claws snapped with gruesome intention; his mouth made a grinding, nearly salivating sound. He picked up speed again, beginning to overtake the two runners.

Sammi makes the mistake of looking back and stumbles with a scream, slapping both hands over her ears to protect them.

Terra was not a hero and didn't like being put into the position where it felt like that was the most appropriate action especially when it risked her own life. It's against logic, better judgment that she'd dig boots into the ground, head back and latch on to the biceps of the girl to give her a good, quick tug. "Run, you moron!" Though it seemed a rather hopeless endeavor given that the creature was plenty capable of catching up to them, outflanking the pair. This could only be a temporary solution as they progressed towards the east.

Shishi and two blonde seven-year-olds step outside of the temple and are greeted by screams and centipedes dashing down the road in front of them. The vampiric father, his hair still a bit damp from some splashing around done at the Druid's Tree, and his daughter at his side let out simultaneous, "Eh?"s as the scene zips by the stationary audience. The familiar sound of his angel reaches the assassin's ears. -'Run you moron'- ...Heavenly. Marital spat aside, the vampire assumes he won't have many chances in life to run after a giant bug, so he'll take the life experience today and dashes after the charging centipede while his son shouts after him, "Blue! That thing's gross! Don't!" but it was too late and the blonde duo has to chase after their father.

Ymheshphilun had gained quite a bit of distance on the two runners, and was right behind them, literally snapping at their heels with his claws. He rose up again, taking his upper body and head to a height of nine feet, and aimed his top five pairs of legs at them. Streams of a substance not unlike spiderweb shot out, aimed for their legs and torso; his intent was to trip them up and hold them, rendering them incapable of fighting back.

Sammi screams in terror, snared almost instantly and slammed into the ground, writhing helplessly

Terra could have done without hearing the familiar call towards a father who was more child-like than she realized. Granted, there may have been a part of her (a large, ring throwing part) that would have liked to see him swallowed up by the black creature that had ascended from the depths, but right now he's a distraction that caused a backward glance.... a fruitless, ill-thought effort that, all she saw were the depthless eyes and the cavern of teeth and saliva that awaited her should one step go wrong. As soon as she turned back, prayed to one of the numerous ascendi, the beast rose on the backs of his numerous legs, those black rings visible far and wide... especially now that the webs shot forth, caught one leg and tripped her and every struggle to get out, every roll, every kick, and every shout only made the webs tighten around, strong enough to keep her ground with a fair bit of her tied into the trap. There's a knife at her waistline if she could wiggle just a little bit more.... This game of reach and run would continue for some time, much to her delight.

Shishi's children, bundled up against the cold weather, can't quite match the speed their father is displaying, just managing to trail behind him. Arius shouts a warning through panting breaths, "Blue! Most centipedes have poisonous mandible things!" and the father is left to wonder during his dash where his son is learning words like that. Sensing some kind of chance when the creature rose to shoot his snare, the assassin takes one long step that no doubt opens up a freshly stitched wound on his torso and dives forward, landing on top of the last segment of the giant monster, wrapping his arms around it and trying to dig his feet, which dangled off the back of the beast, into the ground in an attempt to slow or distract the dark colored creature.

Terra said to Tristram, "... I feel like I should blame this on you."

Tristram said to Terra, "I just got here. Bugs are not my forte."

Ymheshphilun slowed, but only because he had caught his prizes. Shishi went mostly ignored, save a quick extension of his stinger to try and inject firevenom into the vampire. He circled, using his elongated body to block off any exits. Finally, he came to rest only inches from Terra's face. His antennae vibrated, scrabbled over her for a moment, then plunged deep into her ears, going down, down, further and further, eventually touching the brain. Alternating waves of pain and numbness would course through her nervous system, then they would pass, and a huge, ancient, single-minded -presence- would be felt inside her mind. One thought would enter her, one foreign idea: ~Why do you fear me so? I only wish to help you.~ It was a lie, naturally, but he tried to keep it well-concealed.

Kain wanders up to the gathering, and sighs in relief as he sees Ramsi.

Sammi tries to bite at her bonds, sobbing freely

Terra doesn't know what's worse... the feel of this web, sticky and tight against her or the tiny hairs that scraped across her face, down the jawline and back up towards elf-tapered ears. There's only enough time for her mouth to form the shape of a scream, the start of it but no sound and both eyes are open wide, glazed over as the pain subsided, re-emerged, and became replaced by that of something alien. There's no respect held for the beast, no matter his age or power. Everyone lost that right when they penetrated someone else's brain. Words aren't formed, couldn't be articulated, and the only thing that she's very capable of expressing in that moment is bug-eyed fear.

Shishi squirms back and forth, flailing his legs to avoid the stab that comes from the afterthought stinger. Narrowly avoiding being injected a couple of times Shishi gets a gruesome look at whatever this monster is doing to his wife. The sight has his eyes widening and quickly shifting in color from blue to a glowing crimson. Instantly the effects of his irises' change are noticeable as shadows from beneath the centipede spring to life and quickly wrap themselves around the beast's body in a thin line. Solidifying and becoming sharp, the darkness latched onto the monster begins to apply pressure. If this were to be ignored by the bug in favor of his prey then the effect would be similar to that of a cigar through a cigar cutter and the centipede would be without his last two segments. Meanwhile Orange and Yellow had caught up to the scene where it had stopped and kept their distance while whispering to each other about their best course of action. Near Terra and the creature's head some shadows start to move a bit unnaturally on the ground, but Shishi isn't yet ready to take the risk of cutting the antennae and having them stuck in Ter's head. That'd be gross.

Ramsi steps through some bushes. The child comes out, dirty, pale, ghostly. Her eyes blackened like the centipedes, she would watch from a distance. Her eyes glanced at Kain, she smiled darkly, like usual. She then looked at the patrons who were trapped, she then spoke in a creepy, cold voice, "Ah, what do -we- have herrre?" The child would say, she walked a couple steps forward, not knowing how far to go. She would then take her blackened gaze to the centipede. Wondering, ~What the muffin do I do...~

Sammi shouts, seeing the man running toward her, "Kain, don't!"

Kain turns and puts his knife away, after slicing through Sammi's bonds and draws his sword. Lowering his faceguard, he growled angrily at the creature. Seeing it was using it's antenna on the woman, he grinned and thrust at it's largest eye. Either the creature would have to withdraw it's tentacles, or stay low enough for Kain to reach the optical socket's of it's exoskeleton.

Shishi 's blonde little boy quickly waves his arms at Ramsi when she makes her appearance and walks toward the centipede, "Hey! Don't go near there, girl! It has dangerous mandibles!" His sister looks at him with a raised brow, but then nods and waves the other girl over, "Yeah. Come over here instead."

Kain said to Sammi, "Ye git Ramsi 'n git outta here. I'll keep this thing occupied so ye two kin escape."

Sammi nods and scrambles for Ramsi, hesitating with a terrified whimper seeing the girls eyes, "No....No, Ramsi, fight him....please!"

Ramsi would turn her gaze towards the other children her age. By the looks of it, she was long gone from normal right now. She shifted her sling to grab her sword to lean on it and stare at the children. She then would make her way to the children, she wouldn't hurt them, but she would just try to scare them a little. "Ye rrreally wanna tell meh what to do?" She would say harshly and in a hush. The zombie-like child put her sword against herself, taking her good hand to tighten the bloody bandages on her head.

Shadryn stares out from the shade of the trees, raising her humanoid head to gaze into the path, towards the sound of the ongoing rampage. Stumbling from her hiding place, the scaly creature ambles out into open, only to stop and stare at the beast and its captives, shirking back from the road and its dangers.

Ramsi said to Sammi, "Why would I fight him? We arrre -one-."

Sammi shakes her head, tears flying and tackles Ramsi, screaming, "NO, NO, NO, NO!"

Kain said to Ramsi, "No ye ain't! This thing be usin' ye fer somethin' 'n it be killin' ye! Ye know that, when ye be able ta think in yer right mind! Ye told me so yerself!"

Ymheshphilun ignored Kain's freeing Sammi for the moment, and, disappointed at getting no response except abject terror, withdrew from Terra, instead of trying to take her over. That was when he felt the pressure on his hind end. Twisting round with a loud, polyphonic *skraaaaanph* noise aimed directly at Shishi, he pulled free, then turned back to Kain, rearing up and out of the way of the sword, this time not taking any more chances with darts and instead just blasting forward into him like a battering ram.

Shishi's little boy seems oblivious or impenetrable to the girls attempts at intimidating him as he cutely nods a couple of times, "Yah. Isn't that bug nasty? Don't worry. Blue said he'd cut it to pieces. You know?" Leralynn raised her hands up at her sides up in a confounded shrug as she said to her brother, "He did not say that~!" to which the boy just shakes his head and asks Ramsi, "Isn't that sword heavy? Did you get hurt on your head? Blue's stomach has a big hole in it."

Kain hissed and braced for impact, shield upraised, only a heartbeat before he was plowed over. Adrenaline pumping he ignored the pain, and rolled to one side, fighting to get his feet under him as he pulled in a ragged breath. The massive bruise on his abdomen from his previous encounter with this thing throbbed with each breath, but he figured he could worry about that later. Slashing at one of the antenna, he tried to focus on the battle in front of him.

Lenobia was just trying to pass by the crowd before she spots the kind gentleman she met the night before, Kain, into battle. Her eyes widen in worry as she stops and waits to see if he will be okay.

Ramsi would get angrier at the boy's words. "Ye 'Blue' will not hurrrt him!" She would probably say the bug was nasty if she was normal, but she wasn't normal. She lifted her sword. "I did hurrrt meh head a couple days ago... Nasty trrrolls. It's just been gettin' worrrse." She replied calmly. Wow, this boy was actually making the girl calmer. Weird. She then was tackled. Her sword dropping. A bang of her head once again. "Get off of meh!" She would yelp to Sammi, trying to push her off.

Terra was no longer aware of the surroundings; of the battle, of the fight for her freedom, of Sammie's release. None of this registered as she remained tangled in a twisted web, still glassy-eyed from the encounter with the creature. Never before had such an event taken place and the amount of violation she felt was ... beyond anything that occurred prior to this event. Unable to focus, to form a coherent thought or phrase beyond the occasional mumble, she remained tied and for the most part, danger-free... Except for being in the middle of a walkway while a giant, black centipede paraded around.

Sammi shakes her head, holding Ramsi down firmly, screaming back at the creature, "I'll kill her if you dont' leave Hollow!"

Shishi rolls off the crazed Centipede once he's broken out of the dark hold Blue had on him and, more importantly, when Ter's ears were no longer invaded by slithery antennae things. The vampire's scarf gets pulled off by a leg of the beast or something in the process and the vampire's mind is immediately filled with numerous orders to tear to shreds anyone he looks at. Springing to his feet and shaking off the familiar screams that he treats as white noise on a daily basis, the assassin skips and hops over a segment of the monster towards Terra. For a second he pats himself down looking for something to cut her ties with until wisps of shadows float to his fingertips and provide him with the sharpness he needs to snip away the webbing holding Terra down. The shadows float away again when he's got her dewebbed enough so that she can stand and Blue grabs her near her shoulder and pulls her up to his feet, "I slept in today, but things like this still happened... Can we run now?" he asked while trying to answer the question himself, tugging her westward towards Orange, Yellow, and escape.

Terra could move, but wasn't entirely sure how. Conversation was progressing. Was it directed towards her? The elf had defaulted into survival mode, shut down for the most part. Probably wasn't all that unusual given the circumstances. There's tugging and forward motion but it's all irrelevant as she stared forward.... and despite her current dead status, it was the first time her eyes were really and truly lifeless.

Kain focuses his anger, using it to drown out the pain from the many bruises he had sustained with the creature in the tavern. "I'll make armor outta yer hide!" he screams. "Come on bug!" Focusing on the creature's mouth, he was hoping it would try to bite, giving him the chance to ram his blade between the mandibles or into it's eyes, as he held a tight, ready stance, constantly shifting his weight from one leg to the other.

Shishi's son shook his head at the girl, "He'll smush him for sure!" It is then that Ramsi is tackled and Blue moves past Yellow and Orange with a wobbly elf in tow, "We're leaving now, Orange! Bring your brother!" said the assassin as he moved on by. Leralynn then nodded quickly and grabbed hold of her brother's shoulder tugging him away form the scene as well. Terra, tugged by Blue, followed by Yellow, tugged by Orange, that was their order westward.

Ramsi shakes her head. "No! Sam... Please don't hurrrt meh." She would close her eyes and calmly say it. Hopefully to trick the woman to let the child go. "I love ye Sam. I don't love this bug, meh loves ye." She would say in her most innocent tone. She wasn't exactly in the mood to fight.

Kain said to Sammi, "Keep watch 'o 'er eyes! They be black when the bug be controlin' 'er!"

Sammi ignores Kain slowly gripping tight around Ramsi's throat with one trembling hand and picking her up by that, looking at the creature, "SEE! I'll do it..."

Ymheshphilun singlemindedly focused on Kain, he being the one directly in front of the Beast From The Depths. Shishi, Terra, Lenobia, Shadryn--all were ignored for the moment. He flashed through several options before finding the best one, and grabbed the sword in a massive, scorpion-like pincer claw. He squeezed, attempting to break the blade in half or at least hold it. With his other, he grabbed Kain himself, applying pressure to the armored dwarf, knowing that it wouldn't kill him, but it probably would make him easier to deal with. At that point, Sammi's scream registered. Still holding Kain, he whipped violently around towards the feline, eyes boring emotionlessly into her own, testing to see if she was bluffing. When it became obvious that the risk was too high, he shifted his gaze to Ramsi, and paused for a moment as he sent her a message.

Ymheshphilun told Ramsi, "*sends a massive burst of energy, probably enough to break free* Get near me once you escape. Together we can win this."

Lenobia whispered something to Kain.

Ramsi opens her blackened eyes and stares at the centipede. She then grinned and turned her gaze to Sammi. Getting a massive burst of energy, she tries to shove Sammi to break free. She would then sprint over to the centipede following his orders staying near him. She would watch Sammi in a dead-like look if so.

Sammi squeals lunging for the girl as she runs, "Ramsi!"

Kain said to Lenobia, "Don't worry 'bout me. Keep Ramsi away from this thing!"

Lenobia stands by and watches the whole thing starting to unfold with horror in her eyes. she quickly tries to hide out of site, but were she can still watch the battle. Lenobia couches on the ground and places her hands on the earth ground and locks her eyes onto Ramsi. She takes in a deep breath making the connection from her magical hands to the young girl's feet on the earth. Lenobia chants healing spells under her breath and putting all of her might into the power. Lenobia's dark blue eyes dimly glow as the power is surging through her, hoping it the magic is reaching the girl and helping her break her right mind from this possesion the beast has over her.

Ymheshphilun extended some of his legs for Ramsi like a loading ramp, a gesture for her to climb on. Simultaneously, he threw Kain at Sammi, trying to "kill two birds with one stone". The dwarf's sword had been held more tightly than expected, and it was wrenched free from his grip. Then he faced them, snapping his jaws ominously, moving the rest of his body behind him in a line, to add more momentum to a charge should it be required.

Kain growls, debating his options. If he let go of his sword, he might not get it back. Scratching that idea, he instead reached down and pulled his knife. While the blade was only three inches long, it was forged of a very strong mythral alloy, and folded seven times. Driving it between the exoskeletal plates of the claw holding his sword, he worked the blade in, looking to damage the nerves, tendons, and/or muscles that worked the claw. The pressure on his trunk limited his breath, but his armor held enough to keep the creature from crushing him. Working with one eye fixed on the creature's head, he was ready to pull himself up and kick at it's eyes, if given the chance. [Then he got flung, and the sword went with him.]

Ramsi would climb onto the centipede before Lenobia would take over the possesion. She stood on top of Ym. She then looked at Ym and sent a message.

Lenobia drains more of her power into her spell and the ground to the girls feet, pleading with her in her mind that she will not leave the comfort of the earth. That the druid inside of Ramsi would rather stay closer to where it is more at home for her. Lenobia bites down on her lip from the force of her labor.

Ramsi told Ymheshphilun, "Sammi knocked my sworrrd out of my hands. I want to get herrr instead..."

Lenobia bites her lip to hard as she gets angry with herself for not being successful and her lip start to bleed. She lets go of her lip and melts into the ground; appearing from the earth next to Kain and the other wounded warrior. She summons up more energy from mother earth and heals their wounds to merely scars on their skin and tells them in a hushed tone. "Kill it!" She glares at the thing like daggers as she sits, exhausted.

Ymheshphilun told Ramsi, "I may still have a use for her yet. While it would be immensely gratifying to see her destroyed, it would be more... profitable to see her enslaved. Was that clear enough?"

Ramsi told Ymheshphilun, "Yes, it sounds clearrr."

Shadryn watches the people interact, the creature interact, and decides to approach the battle in her own way. Slowly, she walks forward, possibly going unnoticed as much more was going on. Confused and not as well versed in this problem as the others, the abnormally tall figure sweeps her legs forward in a run towards Ramsi, willing to drag the feline off her feet by the collar, should she get the chance. There is no gentle care as the lanky figure carries out her plan of action to toss the girl somewhere, anywhere from their current position.

Lenobia whispered something to Kain.

Kain said to Lenobia, "Understood."

Sammi whimpers and bolts away, her instincts getting the better of her and her own desire to live winning over.

Ramsi would be pulled by the dragon. "Get yerrr hands off of meh!" She would yelp harshly. Once her feet were on the ground, she planted them for a quick second. Swiftly shifting her feet to make rock hold her there and not be pulled. Though, she couldn't keep the rock up for long, it broke and she was thrown away from the centipede. "Gah!" She grunted in landing. She would roll on her stomach and push one hand up to stand. Hopefully she could.

Lenobia said to Kain, "Hopefully my healing will help you fight stronger."

Lenobia quickly tries her healing power once more as she crouches into positions and summons whatever energy she can muster from her own being and the earth. She locks her eyes on Ramsi again and throws every drop of healing energy into the action.

Kain screams, his arm nearly pulled from it's socket as the creature hurls him bodily, but Kain's deathgrip on his sword handle forced it out of the other claw. Flying awkwardly due to the slight resistance, before the blade slipped free, Kain slammed to the ground with a crash and tumbled a few feet before clattering to a halt. Badly in need of healing, he sighed in bliss, as the magic restored him. Working his right arm in an effort to get the armor back into the right position where he could make full use of his swordarm, he advanced on the beast. Looking like a battered miniature iron golem with a wild beard, the warrior uttered, "Ye be messin' up me armor, so I'll make new armor outta yer hide. Release Ramsi! Now!"

Ymheshphilun suddenly, and without warning, focused all his attention on Shadryn. Blasting back towards her at top speed, curling the back half of his body around to try and cut off any escape routes, he aimed and fired twin venomous darts with a slightly audible "click" sound. They were directed at her torso, and should they strike flesh her body would rapidly turn numb, causing the female to lose her sense of touch for the moment and probably stumble and fall.

Kain drops his pack, and goes into full combat mode. "The pipe be in the small pouch on the left hand side," he tells Lenobia, then turns his full attention back to the beast.

Ramsi would then look in a distance. Spotting a fountain from far away northern, she makes a flick of her wrist. Making water float over to her. She then swirled it above her and started flinging it at Lenobia like a whip. Trying to hit the woman with it. She had a evil grin on her face.

Lenobia flinches as she gets hit once, slicing her skin and making a bleeding wound. This breaks her concentration as she melts into the ground once more; appearing in an unknown place as she is hiding. She shouts to Kain, "You want to try that now?!"

Kain sees that he can't help Lenobia at the moment, but sees that Ramsi is distracted with her watery assault on Lenobia. Rushing at Ramsi, he reached out an arm, trying to catch her in something like a running clothesline, but with the intent of grabbing her, rather than knocking her over.

Kain said to Lenobia, "Yeah! Provided I kin hold her still 'n shield 'er long 'nough!"

Lenobia watches Kain's attempt from where she hides and stands ready to run with pipe and herb in hand.

Ramsi would laugh simply at the woman's wound. Her water then splattered in air, since she was now grabbed by Kain. "Let meh go!" She would try to move her hand to sweep rocks off the ground to hit Kain. Though, she failed not getting the right motion down. She gritted her teeth and pushed to get free. "Ah!"

Lenobia runs with all her might towards the pinned Ramsi as she takes in a long puff of the healing rainbow weed. Her eyes started to glow as she stopped right at Ramsi letting the concentrated colorful healing smoke right into her mouth as she is screaming.

Rinonia walks into view with a simple hum as she notices her friend getting carried off by someone else and she covers her mouth noticing the scent of a familiar creature that she wanted to electrocute. She stares over at the centipede with hoping that it won't recognize her as a few bolts of lightning begin to gather around her right hand.

Ramsi would cough the smoke out. She would try to slap the woman with her good arm. "Get that away frrrom meh!" But the smoke got into her, making her eyes change to their mint green again instead of black. "Stop..." She would say weakly. They would change black again. "Heh. Didn't get enough in meh." She then tightened her lips.

Shadryn raises a scaly arm to deflect the darts. One bounces off and shoots her arm high in the air while the other misses its aimed mark, but hits right beneath her shoulder in a softer patch. The dragon gives a low grunt, stumbling back as expected, growing more disoriented as she toughly shakes her head to get rid of the dizziness, white locks of hair swirling around her head in a storm. With a roar, the dragon tries to hold her tiny, limp form up before losing her concentration where the sluggish shape shifting begins. First with her arms as they grow larger, heavier and her fingers begin to take on bestial talons. Slowly, that same arm swipes forward in the air to strike the many large centipede figures that appear to dance in her line sight, one not from her drug induced illusion.

Ymheshphilun told Ramsi, "As long as I am near they cannot take you away from me. *said during her being black-eyed*"

Kain continued holding Ramsi, then pinned her to the earth, to hold her more firmly, as he noticed the change in her eyes. "Tickle 'er. That'll make 'er breathe."

Lenobia blinks surprised at the slap but mostly that it worked. Lenobia breathed in deep all the smoke left and concentrates it more right into her nostrils making the colored smoke linger longer and stronger, clouding her vision perhaps. Lenobia's eyes glow brighter as she backs away from her arms reach for another slap. As the cloud of smoke surrounding her head is thick she makes the blades of grass grow and tickle her all over.

Ramsi would try to spit in Kain's face to make him stop. Hopefully hitting him. Instead of breathing through her mouth, she would pull her body upward. Stretching to calm her down. ~Don't breathe... You don't want to go back.~ She thought to herself.

Ymheshphilun felt the heavy talons on his tough, exoskeletal hide, and pulled away from the slowly morphing dragon. He shot another dart, aiming for the spot that had penetrated, this time the venom being one desgined to suffocate the dragon. With that accomplished, and being at a safe distance, he blasted into the small gathering of Kain, Ramsi, and Lenobia, trying to scatter them. He was unable to succeed without hurting Ramsi, however, and so ended up facing Rinonia directly.

Kain ignored the gob of spit on his faceguard, frowning as he saw her fight not to breathe. "Sorry Ramsi," he uttered, pushing her face to one side, then dropped his weight over her abs for a moment, forcing the air out of her. While it would blow away some of the smoke, it would also force her it inhale. He only hoped there would be enough that she sucked in to do the trick.

Rinonia chuckles at the creature as she releases the powerful bolt of lightning from her right hand and aims it towards the creature's body a few inches underneath from its head. She grins as she twirls her left hand a bit as a strong wind begins to blow into the area from the west creating a wall between herself and the creature as she stares at it with a curious expression, "We meet again I see?"

Lenobia quickly dodges out of the way of the creature.

Ramsi widened her eyes. She tried to breathe, she got the wind knocked out of her. She gasped for breath, for she was not that heavy, she was very light. Lighter than fifty pounds definitely. She would suck in the air. She spoke just barely. "Ye... can... neverrr make... meh go back." She then started breathing quickly. Getting more air.

Lenobia sits on the gound where she fell, frustrated. "Work already!" She grunted as she got up and threw down the bag of herbs, all of the healing herbs all aorund Ramsi and lights them on fire there. Letting the thick smoke fill the air all around, she leans in quickly to whisper to her ear.

Kain said to Ramsi, "Go back ta what? That thing ain't yer friend, but ye know that I am, Sammi is. I be riskin' me life ta keep ye safe. It be killin' ye."

Lenobia whispered something to Ramsi.

Rinonia said to Ramsi, "Listen to them Ramsi because this creature is nothing but a parasite that wants to control you."

Ymheshphilun was struck instantly by the lightning, and in a repeat performance of the other night, he absorbed the energies into his neurons, channeled it through his body, and out his antennae, right back at Rinonia. It seemed that lightning wasn't going to work very well, although he did twitch some after the burst of energy had fired. Then, oddly, and without warning, he rammed his claw into the ground. He seemed to search for a few seconds, then pulled out the body of a man, probably one of those drunken idiots who attacked people for no reason outside the nearby tavern. He placed his antennae inside the corpse's head for a moment, then it's eyes snapped open, the same pure black color as Ramsi's. It strode forward, an expression of contempt marring it's features, marching towards the elf with painfully clear intent. In the meantime, the centipede searched for another body to reanimate.

Lenobia pulls away quickly and says out loud, "I swear if this does not work, I have nothing left." She grips the ground after saving up some energy and pushes it through her own being right to Ramsi, Lenobia's eyes glow fiercely as she lets out a scream of agony.

Ramsi whispered something to Lenobia.

Ramsi would refuse for the energy to go into her body. She clutched the ground tightly. Turning her visage to the other way not facing Lenobia. She held her breath again, though, there was no reason to. So, she breathed normally again.

Lenobia groans lightly as she faints to the ground flat, no energy left at all, she faints.

Rinonia glances around as animated body of a drunken male was marching through the wind towards her, "I see it seems lightning won't be enough to deal with you fool creature this time." She walks towards the animated male as she twirls her hands around in the air swiftly gathering the water from the air around her and forms it into a javelin. She sighs as she places her left hand on the watery javelin watching it swiftly turn into ice as the animated male runs towards her. She tosses the icy javelin with all of her strength cracking the animated male's skull as the wind disappears around them.

Kain keeps his position, straddled over Ramsi's abdomen, leaning forward with his hands on his shoulders. The smoke seeped into his faceguard, causing his eyes to water, and he coughed a bit, but held his position. "Come back to us Ramsi. Ye know if it were yer friend, it wouldn't be forced ta possess ye, 'n take *coughs* over yer mind. Ye gots ta *cough* throw off it's control 'o ye, 'n think *cough* fer yerself." Though unable to see the creature, which was mostly behind and to one side, he was focused on Ramsi more than anything.

Ramsi growls and sucks in wind. Coughing a bit, she replies. "Ye don't underrrstand. Smoke can't do anything, ye fool!" She shouted lightly with harshness in her voice. She then started coughing more, her body aching again. She closed her eyes tightly at pain of her soreness. The smoke making her head throb. She would take one hand and press on her forehead. "Urrrgh..."

Veriun comes casually walking along the road, or so his approach would suggest. Dressed in his usual armor, wings folded up behind him—however, there is something... grand about his entrance, so to say. A man in black and white, strolling down the path towards a situation like the current one. Barely even raising an eyebrow, one of the appendages on his armor blinking slowly, (omg, time-bomb!?- like) he strides forward with barely any sound from his boots. Stopping a few paces away, he peers into the smoke with a slightly interested expression--though his gaze suggested something else...

At the moment the icy spear struck home, the dead body collapsed. Then it sat up again, pulling the spear out and tossing it away. It stood, and charged once more. A second one had been found (there are a lot of drunken fools around here) and it began attacking Rinonia. The centipede himself, The Beast From The Depths, Ymheshphilun, The Destroyer And Omega, slithered forward as well, sensing victory was at hand. He fired two darts at the elf, these tipped with venom that would set blood on fire with just a touch.

Kain said to Ramsi, "Then tell me how ta help ye, lass. *cough* What kin I do... I'll take ye away from it. That'll work, right?"

Ramsi said to Kain, "I'll neverrr tell ye! We arrre -one-!"

Rinonia said to Kain, "Can you get Ramsi out of here?"

Veriun sighs and speaks in a plain voice, not looking at the 'heroes' at all. Rather gazing critically at the beast approaching, as if sizing up the enemy of a board game. "The link must be severed for it to work permanently."

Rinonia stretches out her arms as a powerful gust of wind begins to twirl around her body just before the two darts of poison hit her right arm and repels the animated human back a bit, "Blast it...how do I beat these guys?" She glances around swiftly as the wind around her body begins to fade away swiftly leaving her defenseless. She charges towards the human and places her hand on his face with a grin on her face,"Zap." A few thousand volts of lightning course through the animated human's body as she glares over at the centipede.

Kain glances at the mage and nods. "Yeah. If ye kin keep it occupied a bit longer." He then glances over toward his pack, wondering if he should bother trying to get it, and sees Veriun. "Toss me my pack, would ya bro?" He then turns his attention back to Ramsi. "Ye be needin' ta get yer own mind back." Grabbing her tightly, he picked her up, and snatched up his pack, then carried the squirming Ramsi westward. He planned on taking her to the Dragon's head inn in Craughmoyle, though if need be he'd take her all the way to Venturil to break the link between it and her mind.

Ymheshphilun's "bodyguard #1" was knocked back by the sudden wind, but kept coming, swinging a fist for her head. The second one, the one she zapped, flew backward and collapsed, once more totally dead. Ym, finding one of his servants gone, blasted forward, using his body like a battering ram, trying to bowl the mage over.

Kain said to Veriun, "Sever, as in kill it?"

Ramsi pounds on Kain while he brings her west. Her connection slowly unraveling as they walk. Her eyes slowly turn back to her mint green and all that detailed stuff.

Kain continues westward, easing up his grip as Ramsi comes back to herself, though he continues taking her west to Craughmoyle, where he rents a room and pays for her to get a good meal and full nights sleep.

Rinonia grunts a bit as she feels a hard fist against her hand causing her to lose her balance a bit. She shakes her head a bit barely noticing the centipede charging at her and barely dodges with one of the centipede's legs cuts her right leg, "Go I'll keep it busy just take her out of her." She collapses on the ground breathing somewhat heavily and tries to get up from the ground.

Veriun raises and eyebrow as the beasts body slides along the ground. Seemingly he, too, was in risk of being hit. Whether he was to take it as an attack against his person or not was up to law; it chose not as such. He spreads his wings in an amazingly swift manner and seemingly becomes many as he jumps over the entire 'battlefield' and lands well balanced on the other side, where the giant bug once was positioned.

Ymheshphilun whirled with a speed that seemed nearly impossible for something his size to execute. Unfortunately for him, this motion cut the undead off from her, so it was once more just The Abomination and Rinonia. He fired strands of web at her, meaning to entangle her, simultaneously emitting another polyphonic, piercing wail whose vibrations could be felt in the air. It wasn't just a wide-spread soundwave--it was a tight beam, focused on his current target, a sonic -attack-.

[At this point, Veriun oocly had to go. We'll say he flew away because he got bored or something. :D]

Rinonia sighs as another strong gust of wind wraps around her body to protect her from the webbing that was cast around the wind and the sonic boom that was caused pushed her back a bit causing her to crash into a wall. She breathes heavily as she picks herself from the wall and the Abomination, "C'mon, you ugly creature. Come and get me." She runs off from the area hoping it chases after her as she notices her pet ice falcon in the sky.

Ymheshphilun noticed her look skyward, and did so himself carefully, noting the barely visible presence of her air support. He hesitated, then reached into a tree and plucked out a crow, crushing it to death with a claw. Placing his antennae inside it's beak, he sent a charge through it, reanimating the ebony bird. It flew skyward, aiming to distract the Ice Falcon, then Ym charged after the quickly retreating figure of Rinonia.

Rinonia continues to run as the ice falcon is distracted by the crow charging at it as she continues to run from the creature. She continues for a bit more until she feels head about to split in two and coughs off some blood. A few shakes of her head and she continues to run as the ice falcon manages to get away from the crow, and charges towards the centipede creature with violent force.

Ymheshphilun kept his eyes not only on the elf but the aerial chase as well. The crow pursued it's secondary directive and flew after Rinonia. Ym paused, and reared up again, firing nearly a solid wall of webbing at the incoming bird. He was -not- in the mood to have his face attacked in that way again.

Rinonia glances over at the sky and begins to chant swiftly in an elven tongue while running away from the centipede creature. A thick gray fog begins to appear swiftly unto the scene surrounding everyone in its path slightly blocking their vision besides the caster of the spell. The elf used this chance to escape from the centipede creature heading towards mountains where it would be difficult to be found.

Ymheshphilun was somehow affected by the fog. Perhaps it was the fact that it was a dark gray fog--more impurities in the cloud would cause more distortion in his heat vision. The crow returned to him, and landed on his head. Then, having chased away or knocked out everyone he battled this night, he smashed his way back through the ground, burrowing deeply until he was out of sight.
