Prisoner Cages

Welcome to the sixth annual Titans of Winter Tournament! Here we gather where the Frostmaw shamans have molded and shaped this area, altering the original state into some fresh hell. The previously empty cages are now all full, each one containing members of Frostmaw's horrors: angry mammoths, seething frostmares, chittering snowflake imps and a single irate ice devil. The cages are sealed with enchanted wax that drips like sands through an hourglass - and they are all dripping rather rapidly. The snowflake imp will be released in mere seconds, throwing an extra obstacle into the already fraught terrain. Good luck to Nikola and Valen!"

A tournament. It has been a while since she actually fought someone that she didn't need to kill. A cage in the middle of nowhere. Not the worst place she anticipated this would occur, Truth to be told she hopes for a large stadium with more shouting people that she could ever count... Maybe for mere few seconds because that would be noisy. Cold hard cement stone floors and high ceiling. Thick bars fill the walls of the cage, quite a sight to see enough for someone to start changing their lives even they haven't done anything wrong in the first place. The prison cell has numerous smaller ones including beasts and creatures of every kind. The seals that hold them appears to be impenetrable but she knew these beasts are added for more spectacle. She wore a simple sleeveless cotton robe with a fabric as her belt. It was thick enough to keep her warm for the trek up here but clearly not enough to protect her from anything. Her forearms and legs were bound with combat wraps though slightly unnecessary as she is currently in her draconian form. Tail on her back, scaly legs and forearms and a bit more in her neck and the side of her face. Her belt holds numerous pouches, a smithing hammer and a length of metal chain. "Greetings. May the best fighter win". She smiles before placing a palm above her fist then bowing to her opponent. Then she turned to Leone and bows, as it is quite an honor for one to join such prestigious tournament. Smoke escapes her each time she exhales. Strike first and strike hard. As soon as she is done bowing, she snatched a couple of pouches from her belt and threw it toward her enemy, Followed with a step forward, with a quick eye one would see lightning surging on the very scales of her legs. The normal human body can be thrown away if they are electrocuted. It is because their muscle spasms and releases such powerful force. Doing the same thing on her own leg muscles but with her being a blue dragon and immune to lightning, the spasm of muscles was something she could control, durable dragon nerves and muscle structure to withstand the violent force to propel her forward and raising her arm for a powerful punch using the same principle she used on her arm as her first strike.

Valen would have appeared, stepping out of the shadows to greet his opponent with a soft bow of his head. Eyes looking around to see the cages that contain all manner of hellish beasts. The devil certainly looked menacing, and he hoped that one would be last but it wa snot the one that worried him. It was the Frostmares. Seeing as how the imp looked to be the first to be released, he knew he could at the least hold it at bay. He had to admit though, maybe he could make it a pet after this fight? The Vampire certainly did not want to hurt it by any means. He would be wearing the armor of his home today, black and red in color, looking more like some Shadow Knight rather than an academy teacher. It afforded the most protection around his chest, as that area looked to be a bit more built up, with a cap on the back with a red underside, and around his waist were covered bottles of some unknown liquid, each with a different marking however, except for two, each of those on opposite hips. At the greeting a smiple smirk would play across his face. He had to admit, the lady was beautiful. "I am sure you will be exceptional Deary. Do not hold back, and be ready to face...The Darkness!" As they both bowed, He would let the shadows have a bit of leeway and immediately make himself appear to have whisps of the stuff just radiating from his visage. The thrown couple of pouches, no doubt given her Draconic strength, would be swift and just. However, as a Vampire, he would dodge one and the other would be sliced open with a tentacle of shadow that seemed to shoot out from his personage. He wanted to see just what was being thrown at him. Valen's eyes would grin even wider as he sees the faint signs of electricity, and immediately another blue came to his mind. So, this was the one who had a picnic with his ex-husband? Well then, time to give her the Full Valen Experience. As she shot forward, a daring tactic made by a daring opponent, he would allow it to connect. The only way to see what you are up against, is to gauge just how strong their conviction is as well as how strong their fist. Pain surged through him as he was knocked back, reeling. Bad move, he would think. That hurt....badly. Vision swimming, he would regain his senses, before dropping down into his own shadow, to appear up and out of hers behind her, with a horizontal judo chop right towards the back of her neck, with all of his Vampiric Strength, as if to say that it was his turn, and hers had been fun! His face was starting to feel a bit numb though...problematic.

Nikola smiles as the man destroyed the pouches and immediately a cloud of metallic dust escaped from them, probably enough to blind him? she doesn't know but it did allowed her strike to connect. Preparing for her next attack, she removes the chain in her belt and threw it... not to the man but to the imp, the metal chain was easily manipulated by her magnetism, normally magnetism would not work at this distance but she is holding the end of the chain, and that piece is connected to the next chain link and so on and so forth allowing her full control, She tied the beast and turned to the man. Gone. With a sudden surge of magic, her aura pulsed around her, some of those magnetic dust would've stuck onto the man, allowing her to see where he is but it was too late. His hand was already about to land on her neck it was impossible to dodge, she tried to lower her head to lessen the blow but still struck in the cranium. The world easily began to blur around her, nearly falling forward as she pulled the chain all her might. Causing the imp to violently get dragged in toward her position. She thought of using the beast as a flail and try to flatten her enemy with it but If the man would not move the imp would hit both of them. She may not have blocked the chop on the back of her head but this one she can. metallic dust upon her pouches began to crawl onto her body, materializing all over her form, improving her armor further as she brace herself for the impact.

Valen 's next thought was how when there was lightning, it always brings him down. Unfortunately for her, that metallic dust had been avoided, as far as his eyes went, as her punch had knocked him out of the 'blast' radius, and he had to admit that being blind would have been a lot worse than a possibly fractured jaw. His disorienting hit had been a success, but what was she doing with that chain? Oh. Well then that is a thing. In his head he cursed Mythayus for not showing or telling him about magnetic magic, as even he had never heard of such a thing, and also thought that after this he would extend her a job at the Academy as an assistant. Talent like this, should always be appreciated. Crap. The Imp was coming. Metal on the lady aside, a grin would form on his mouth as he extended another shadow tentacle tow rap around the oncoming Imp, wings of shadow would also sprout from his back, and with a leap into the air, boosted by those wings of his that he had grown accustomed to relying on in times of need, would pull the imp towards them as they were both doing now it seemed,, leap -over- the imp, while using that tentacle to force the beast harder towards the Female Dragon. With that out of the way, He would prepare his next attack...Sorry Impy. Waving his hand above him a spear of shadow would form, and he would launch it towards the pair. At about halfway, it would splinter into smaller shards and harden in a sort of spray of shrapnel.

Nikola 's attack is about to miss. Truth to be told it wasn't the best attack she could think of. She could not see anything while encased in metal but she can sense a couple of things, for example, the imp that she is pulling was speeding up, even overtaking the chain alittle. At that point she knows something is going on, The rear side of her 'statue' begins to crumble leaving a 'Nikola-Shaped' mural as cover. Following the shadow tentacle that was holding onto her imp, she pulls the imp, altering its course. It has been dragged three times now, its speed would be impossible to dodge after being accelerated this much. Flinging the helpless creature onto the man's spear in hopes it would disrupt the spell. The first strike landed earlier but she doubts she can do the same trick. She took her hammer and surge her muscles for a throw. The imp was suddenly obliterated as numerous spikes tore up the creature. She is in the middle of a spell so its now or never. She roared and threw her hammer with all her might, detaching the chain from the imp only to snake it around violently in hopes to destroy the spikes before it struck her, two hit the mark, one grazing her shoulder and the other her hip. Her hammer is aimed to the man but just like the imp earlier, she doubts it would land. Though wounded she began bursting toward the vampire with her arm raised about to land another powerful strike.

Valen 's spell would not be disrupted, even though the shards that hit the imp would be rendered inert though definately leave the imp seeing better days, a few would certainly carry on their trajectory. The shadows though were starting to take a toll on him as well, and with a quick motion he'd take one of the bottles on his hips and drain it in a matter of seconds, before feeling rejuvenated. Blood, would always be the coin of his realm unfortunately. The tentacle would have released by this point, and then he saw the shards graze her figure, noting that his aim had been better than he had realized. Seeing that hammer come towards him now, he had not even seconds to react though his mind immediately went into tactition mode. With another decisive thought, perhaps not one of his better judgements, putting all of that Vampiric strength to work he would swing his right arm in a wide arc and knock that hammer right out of it's trajectory, with a slight step to the left, and with a howl of immense pain, bones snapping as bones were shattered, and hand now at a very awkward angle with the arm bone sticking out just underneath. His cries echoed in the room, shadows groaning under the weight of his voice as well as if they could sense his pain. Seeing the Female try the same tactic twice, he was ready and had already figured how to counter this. As she advanced, with his still good hand, wings still out, tentacles would shoot out towards her as his eyes turned red, the color draining from him noticeably at the power expended to perform this feat, but pain was one hell of a motive. Their goal? To latch onto her arm, each tentacle possessing the strength of one of his arms, and should they connect...they would attempt to wrench hers from it's socket in mid-lunge. Should it miss, the next step would be to simply thrash about her head and upper torso to attempt to deter her from attacking in close quarters.

Everything was happening so quickly but her hammer was knocked out of the air. With all her might she pushed her fist forward in hopes to land a final blow but tentacles began lunging toward her limb. It was not a good sign. She could not stop but that doesn't mean she is out of options. Using her electromancy, she energized her legs causing muscles to stiffen and lock in place, halting her advance. it is clear that pushing the attack further would cost her a limb... She instead attempts to pull back, with the tentacles still wrapping upon her arm, she calls forth her chain as it began to coil around her limb, rapidly circling the arm enough to cause it to spark and heat up, flowing her own lightning on her scales trying to burn off the tentacles. If successful, she'll be able to tear away from the man and be able to jump into safety. If not she'll attempt to roar a lightning onto him at point blank range.

Winner: Nikola

Nikola was able to yank out her arm and rolled a couple of feet away, she wills the chain to go forth and look for her hammer before rushing back toward her opponent. However something appears different. Its clear that using that much shadow is exhausting the vampire, she growled making sure that this isn't some trick for her to lower her guard. He isn't moving, She takes safety precautions as she walked on a safe distance before suddenly jumping forward again. Standing at close range as if expecting him to retaliate in anyway, but when she got nothing, she placed a finger against the man's nose and push him, hopefully he falls on his hind. "Boop." If he falls she'll soon extend her hand to help him stand. Bow and thank him for the wonderful bout.

Valen does indeed fall back, dazed, stunned, but altogether smiling as he accepts that hand and stands back up, giving her a hug even making sure to avoid where he had cut her. Dragon blood be bad for him.
