Venue

Kelay Way

Kelay: the most famous part of the land. Something is happening. But you don't know what and by the looks of all the villagers around, and their confused expressions, neither do they. For the moment though it seems relatively calm, whether it is the calm before the storm though is yet to be seen. Perhaps more can be found out in the tavern to the north? Perhaps shelter in the great cities to the east and west could be found as well? You ponder which direction you should take and wonder if it will lead you onto your destiny be that glory, or death.

Thea vs Muraski

Thea steps outside the tavern after issuing her challenge, waiting for her foe to come through the doors. The winged Druidess smirks once the thief makes his way into the venue, one hand resting around the hilt of a small, enchanted blade. Having had enough of their verbal arguing, the Pixie is ready for action now. A cluster of thorny vines spring forth thanks to a nearby thistle bush from the sparse foliage in the area to hold her target still, grabbing his ankles akin to the way a bird would snag its prey then wrapping tightly. A Druidic tongue accompanies the raise of her right arm which soon releases a flying dirk not aimed for the man's frame, its trajectory instead the earth at his feet. The shiny object buries just deep enough into the soil to serve as a conduit for Thea's intentions . She holds up its twin and continues to chant, a cerulean arc forms between the exacting weapons housing several thousand smaller ones in a venerable lightning storm seeking to electrocute her opponent.

Muraski had begun his exit of the tavern and yet upon his way out, suit, dress shirt, and fedora would be left with Ranok. He would then proceed towards the exit only to find that suddenly vines had begun to spring from both sides of him, in an attempt to hold him in place. They find the planty shackles make their mark, unallowing his movements to proceed much further then the front of the door. As the dirk is thrown, the man's frame moves to a crouched posistion, the only one he could muster, but instead of finding it aimed for him, he found it aimed at his feet. The thief lifted the weapon from the ground, it's pointed just barely in to allow it an easy pull from the soil, stood, and threw it back at the Queen with the precision of a man who had been in his proffesion for many solid years. Hands then reached for one of the two crossbows upon his hip, a follow up attack to be made, as one single poisoned bolt is fired from it's grasp directly at the woman's chest. The poison, should it hit, would merely slow her movements down, inevitably making her unable to move, and that would make this battle all the easier.

Thea watches the plant-like cuffs make their move, a slow grin easing over those full lips. A grin that would soon fade upon seeing the theif seem to not only escape, but remain unharmed by any of the lightning incased between herself and the chosen mark. The Druidess pouty lips fall slightly in a frown, eyes then widening at the oncoming assault of her own weapon. She quickly shifts to her natural state some mere inches of height and lacey wings make haste in maneuvering on air to allow her flight. The arrows intended to pierce an ample breast manage only to scathe her right ankle during the finale of the Pixie's aerial acrobatics. Slowed a bit though she may be, viridian eyes narrow on the male and that adept tongue begins to dance once more, summoning forth a massive swarm of various venmous allies. Insects, arachnids, even the occasional reptile and scorpion answer the call of their High Druid. Some possess stingers, some pinchers, but all have one common thread in their aim as they move in a steady cyclonic motion to surround Muraski, looking to bring him down with a fatal dose of their venom.

Muraski had never found himself out of the grasp of the shrubbery's cuffs and as she began to once again channel spells, he thought now might be a better time then ever to change that. A sabre was gripped from hip, a slash upon each of the two plants to free himself from their confines and yet it was but to late for him to have noticed the animals as they began to surround him. Muraski attempted to flee, out run the creatures, a simple turn about the tavern but at last, that didn't seem to help his case as they were still nearby and even though he'd stepped upon a few with his run it was not enough. Some animals had taken their toll upon his legs, a scorpions sting, a snakes fang, and a bee's stinger. The thief needed but a place to hide and as he looked about from the side of the tavern only one idea made sense, the trees. He leapt for a branch only to pull himself up into the leafy confines, to hope he hadn't yet been seen. A quick glance down would allow one to notice that most the animals had left him be, unable to scale the tree, there would be but few to come at him except a few bees. Their stings would pester him but his will to focus upon the fight at hand had not changed and with a fluid movement he pulled two daggers free from the sheaths upon his waist. The blades were once more tossed towards the woman, a clever distraction to allow her eyes to wander from the real attack. The net Ranok had not given him but moments before was placed upon the end of each weapon, each crossbow pointed at Thea's side, then fired, and the two bolts would find their away from the pixie whilst the net hopefully trapped her, forcing a quick plummet from the sky. The force of firing both at once however, knocked the man back into the tree, a loss of breath to be had and a momentary fade from reality in which to give the Queen time to make a counter move.

Thea, now feeling the effects of that poison from earlier is quite slowed in her movements. Nearly so much so that the intended net manages to grasp her left wing in a failed attempt to escape. Wincing, she curses under her breath only to realize where her foe has opted to take 'refuge'? Oh what a grave mistake made by her opponent as the Druidess now makes the call to some of her closest companions in all of nature. The very trees where the thief hides. Trees that soon uproot from the earth and encircle the 'Merchant', bough and brush all moving to insure his capture as they then take turns with pummelling motions of their branches in a hammering effect, trying to drive Muraski into the ground like a living nail.

Muraski 's dagger missed their mark entirely but as the net sank in, all seemed to matter little. Soon however, the dazed man found that the forest had began to shake, the woods began to move, and the world begin to shift as trees uprooted about him. Senses still withdrawn, the shaking of the earth ended in a plummet for the man as he fell from branch to ground with a swift thud. The lifeforms that resided upon the ground swarmed after him, more venomous stings to make their marks yet before one could truly understand what had happened, the tree had begun to swing. Insects, scorpions, snakes, and others found themselves squashed as the thief rolled to move from the hazardous spot in which he lay. The trees attacks to slam forth upon his poison assailants, a squish to be heard as they missed the human but slaughtered snake, scorpion, and insect without mercy. The venom within Muraski began to take it's toll and little could be done to assist the wounded man yet a thief is never without a trick up his sleeves. A hand would reach into his pocket, a vial removed, to smash upon the ground and allow him to make an escape from the barked attackers. As he slowly moved himself to a stand within the fog he'd created a branch swung randomly would knock him loose of the assailants and land him once more into the open streets of Kelay. Upon freedom from the unearthly hell, he would begin to crawl, unable to walk in full motion away from much of anything. His final attack would be simple, as a large sound was made from his throat followed by a large glob of spit to fly from his mouth directly towards Thea, a rock would be lifted and thrown towards the Queen in it's wake, aimed for her head, yet with his remaining strength none could be sure it'd hit it's mark.

Thea takes the opportunity of distraction provided by her summoned arborous friends and manages to free her trapped wing from the confines of the net, though leaving it quite sore. Bleary-eyed, she watches the trees in their assault, hoping to find her opponent pulverized, or at least badly beaten by such an attack and the undeniable effects of so many varieties of venom. Much to her dismay, the vial of some sort is broken and there he stands before her yet again. She shakes her head thinking him nearly as indestructable as a cock roach at this point and moves to higher ground, no thanks to a wing that now feels somewhat disconnected. She takes solace there in the branch of a nearby oak. She watches him quite literally spit into the wind, the pebble is then dodged with an accompanied chuckle, still yearning to further damage him.

Autohit Round
Thea now somewhat rested moves from her spot there in the trees and takes full advantage of any weakness Muraski carries, wanting to render his hands completely useless. She smirks to him as similar vines to those that bound his feet earlier now move to wrap about both his wrists and pull him face first to the earth, "Since an apology from you is not going to happen, I will at the least see to it that you are unable to write anymore slander on the boards for some time..", With this said, she makes the necessary steps to clear the area and a massive branch repeatedly beats down on those bound appendages, leaving in their wake only broken bone and torn ligaments held together by swollen flesh. Brushing herself off, the Pixie affords the man one final glance and mutters, "I may be a lot of things, but I am not rude. Perhaps if you see your way to being a man and apologizing, I would consider healing those wounds for you. Until then, I hope it hurts. Quite a lot."
