OOC duel, that Heyx and Satoshi did not actually fight eachother. At the time of this writing, the two have never met.

Heyx wandered sullenly into the mud-drenched forests of Vailkrin, a gentle brush of light emmitted from the thick canopy over head sweeping over the shimmering, murky, dark brown water that formed the dark pond. Caressing the girl's grey skin, the light eagerly reveiled the white-lacy short, victorian dress that covered Heyx's curvy figure. Lurid, blue-hued gaze swept over the land, eagerly combing through each bit of rock, each twig half submerged in the vile water, each tree log afloat within the morbid depths of the murky battleground where this bout would take place. Evening sun setting in, casting a shadow of despair over the area hewn with drab hues of orange, brown, black and dark green. Heyx, the Bad-Luck mage as she fondly reffered to herself, was at home here, her chaotic, shattered mind subtly taking in the presence of another. Not quite sure what this girl could be doing here, the Drow approaches slowly, white trimmed shoes closing the distance with each squish into the mud. Now, sure of another's existence, the child-like demeanor melts away, replaced with a stoic disposition, signature of the woman as she entered battle. Instantly, she decided she would challenge herself with another random attack, similiar to the one she had thrust upon the Frost Giant naught half a week before. Appendages extend, a plethora of quiet arcane flowing freely from neon purple lips, sifting through the murky, foul-smelling air that cursed the place with its existence. Then, gently, a silver sheen began to encase the girl's lithe fingertips, flowing freely through the air like a butterfly would on a warm summer day. Dripping with the magical substance, the hands of Heyx flutter silently over the edge of the pond, releasing their magicarus into the befouled liquid. Slowly, simmering almost, the energies swim along the surface like a long eel, flowing and flowing through and through until they are at the edge of the water that touches the land Satoshi has graced with her feet. Then, wickedly, a jet of liquid shoots up as a silvery whip explodes from beneath the surface, swirling through the air like a wicked rope ready to lash a thick bit of flesh from the feline.

Satoshi 's absent wandering passed the pond is quickly brought to an end with the appearance of that enchanted whip striking for flesh, feline reflexes bringing her right arm before her body all that spares her a wound to her more vulnerable chest. Hissing in angered pain, forearm sporting a wide gash, the mage stumbles back through the muck, eyes darting about until they fall upon the white-clad drow, the culprit successful at catching her off guard. Hastily the feline begins murmuring soft words, the incantation creating a hazy blue mist in the vicinity surrounding Heyx until, with injured arm coming up to point harshly at the other mage, the mist condenses into countless tiny spheres. Or, what seem like spheres at first. The angry buzzing coming from them denote otherwise after a brief pause. With a growl, Satoshi flicks her wrist, a silent command to the newly conjured swarm of icy bees gathered around the drow's original location to attack. As one the sphere of bees dive for Heyx, icicle stingers brought forward and clearly eager to plunge into all flesh made available. What appears as simply a weak harassment is quickly going to be revealed as otherwise, for any skin pierced by those stingers will keep the bee latched to it, the enchanted chill that created each insect forcing it to dissolve on contact, seeping algid magics directly into the bloodsteam where fortunate enough to plunge passed muscle and fat. From there, Heyx will be forced to endure the slow and painful effects of frostbite as the chill creeps through blood to crystalize it. Movements, in time, will become excrutiating, concentration will become near impossible, and strengths will be sapped with each moment Satoshi's chilled spell lingers within the drow's body.

Heyx watches, a maniacal giggle punctuating the gentle chirping of some undead bird off in the distance as her spell suceeds in parting blood from vein. Watching the somatic components of her enemy's spell fluidly unraveling before her, the girl steps slowly to the side, inching towards the water. Satoshi, dressed as she was, screamed glaciesmagus in Heyx's keen eyes, allowing the girl to anticipate a frost-based spell as it was. Understanding that ice and water do not make a lethal combination, she figures whatever Satoshi can throw at her would hardly warrant much other than a basic mana barrier and a quick dive into the repulsive water. But, oddly enough, that weak-willed frost strike did not come, a swarm of angry glacies insects screaming in its absence. The swarm, as it appeared to be, was severly dangerous to the girl. She knew not how to counter a flock of bees! Quickly, she raises a hand, releasing a furious torrent of raw burning ignis magus, the stream of fire blazing through the massive group of mana-bound bugs. It burned through the lot of them, the simple spell penetrating and sizzling over the surface of the water, weakening though ever charging forward towards Satoshi. Now, mind you, not all of these little nasties have been ridden of. The small group left fuzz through the blurry foliage that hangs down from the weeping willows and other assortment of disgusting, rotting plants here. Hard to notice, they blur over the girl's dress, a dozen or so tiny stingers flowing into shoulder, and few into the back of her right hand. The magic is released, gently cooling blood and sending a shiver up the young Hexenmeister's spine. Now, for the offensive. Not yet feeling the full effects of that vile spell, Heyx charges forward, sporting a wicked grin from ear to ear as a pool of mana forms over her hand. Resembling a thick, blue-tinted gel, the acidic substance was hurled forward with the thrust of the mage's appendage. Tiny driplets falling off the thick glob of magicarus, sizzling and burning through foliage and rotting leaves alike as it made its venture towards Satoshi.

Satoshi is not idle once her first spell is set lose, lips already moving again in that hushed rhythm of her spell-casting. Heyx's repelling of her insects is duly noted and promptly forces a hiss into the feline's whispered words, the sight of the approaching flames alarming the pyrophobe into triggering her spell early. A ring of blue light around the mage's feet brightens as it leaps swiftly upward, carrying with it the quickly freezing waters that saturate this area's lands. Hasty triggering of the spell results in a thinner ice barrier than intended, enough to blunt the dying fires but not enough to stop the acidic attack following not long after, the mass punching through melting ice with ease and straight for the cat. Once more she hisses as uninjured arm is brought up and crossed diagonally over her in reflexsive defense, the heavy glob colliding and eating through her sleeve, to meet the glacial bracer beneath. With a flash the enchanted bracer freezes the acid, but not before some spills upon exposed skin to leave angry burns and providing the feline with two damaged arms now. And from there, the unhappy Satoshi swiftly growls out enraged words as she shakes off the solidified substance, a call to the dampened earth at Heyx's feet. In a mimicry of her prior defense a ring of light is formed and jumps skyward. Save, this time instead of a wall of ice, spears of the element are created, all turned inward at angles as they lunge for drow flesh. And like the bees, any of this bewitched ice that breaks skin will add more to the chill hardening veins.

Heyx allows a bright grin to spread across her pretty face, contrasting starkly with the grim background before her. Watching as both her attacks have an effect, the girl steps back now, hoping to heighten the distance between the two. Ice magic, as she understood it, was most devestating up close, and the cold energies that would pass through this air would at least be slightly weakened and wettened before reaching the mage. Still, questionably a good movie, it allows for more energy spending on Satoshi's part as the upburst of icicles creeping beneath the ground are hurled forward, travelling furiously through thick mud as they intently seek their target. Heyx prepares her defense, a single hand cast outwards. But then, she feels it. A frigid cold, overtaking her from within, melds gently yet painfully through her shoulder and right hand, causing the girl to twitch in reaction to the unfamiliar feeling. Casting aside her worries for the moment, her one good hand sparks to life, watching carefully the mana that travels beneath the ground. Then, it is loosened. A skyrock of mud and dirt bursts like a bomb before Heyx, showering her in murky brown as crystalline, translucent ice spikes out, jutting from the Vailkrin soil to find her petite figure. Jab! One spike slides through a bit of garb hanging under her arm, penetrating the silky substance and sparing her skin. She twists furiously, the spike tearing off nearly the entire sleeve over her right arm as the stiffening appendage is freed from its clothe prison. Turning once more, she catches a bit of ice to the face, the spike sliding across her cheek in a manner similiar to how Serina had caressed it just the night before. Reminded of that touch, of the chilling coldness that slid over her skin, peircing through nerves and muscle alike, but not in full penetration as to render her speech-impaired, Heyx snapped. Furiously, with her injured hand, she reached up and gripped the side of her head, blue fingernails digging agonizingly into her scalp. A steady stream of crimson runs down her dark cheek, aiding the powerful shriek of madness that booms into the area, no doubt having an immediate effect on Satoshi. Now, in her rage, Heyx thrusts her left arm outwards, a steady trickle of hateful, biting arcana sliding from her tongue. Purple energies flow like fire from her fingernails, subsiding as they sink deep into the mud before her. Now, it was her turn. The mana, compacted tightly, would dig through the mud until it was below Satoshi, before detonating in a magically-infused explosion that would cause the force to be pulled up in a circle around the girl, undoubtly forcing mud ten to fifteen feet eye, where it would enclose the girl before falling over her, causing a deadly coffin of wet dirt.

Satoshi immediately drops to her knees as the shriek tears through the air to her sensitive ears, hands--one slick with her blood, frantically rising to clamp over her head, trying to ward off the painful sound. It's from this lowered position against the earth the feline is able to faintly detect the approaching earthbound mana, in time enough to call out in arcane words to the moisture soaked earth. Heyx's explosion is set off, yes, but its intended effect is altered by the cryomancer's interfering spell. Rather than a mudslide falling upon the feline, she's pelted with dry dirt clods and rocks burying her loosely up to her chest, the waters that once laced through the earth levitating around the magus in obedient single-line formation, level with the opponent mage's torso. Heyx is given a smirk from the half-buried mage before the globes of water of set lose with a word, racing toward the drow as if sent by archers are a barrage of frozen arrows, as always carrying that desire to pierce flesh and further feed the spreading frostbite. And that's hardly Satoshi's last attack. There's still enough energy within her for one last nasty trick, and with a groan she frees her torn arm, dipping claws into the wound to coat them in blood to be pressed to her mouth as half-sung words fall from her lips. Now is the time the frigid magic coursing through Heyx's likely adrenaline-rushed pumping veins is truly called upon, crystals of frozen blood responding to the Snowfall Magus, contracting and expanding at random intervals, jagged edges commanded to begin tearing Heyx's circulatory system apart, to severe bloodflow to limbs, to pierce muscle and flesh, to reach open air from the inside out.

Heyx watches carefully, her fury mingling with her racing thoughts, clouding her vision. The arrows are loosed, yes, but as Korbus had done to her with his crossbow, the girl knew how to counter these. Forcing her mana into a spherical shape before her, the pink, translucent blurred energies shimmer as light flowing through the canopy overhead rains over it. One by one, the ice arrows explode into the shield, either embedding themselves slightly in the half-bubble of raw energy, or sliding off like raindrops and landing with a plop in the mud around Heyx. Then, she discards the shield, standing proudly before the incarcerated mage. She had won. This girl could no longer attack her. But then, a screaming, biting pain explodes into her arm as the crystals begin to shred and tear at the tiny blood vessels in her appendage. Wicked, tiny bruises begin to rapidly form up and down upon the grey skin of the howling girl, good hand clamped tightly over the agony that rung through her being. Gritting teeth, she forced warmth into the limb, the temperature of the arm rising rapidly to combat the wicked coldness and tiny shards of frost that were held within. Slowly, the small ammount of crystallined ice inside of her began to melt, forming thin welts filled with water in patches about her skin. Breathing heavily, chest heaving, clutching her grossly damaged arm, the girl was okay. Just in alot of pain. She raised her blue eyes to the imprisoned Satoshi, proud she had combated against her final attack.
