Duel:Ardan v Rumiko

From HollowWiki

In The Vicinity Of Kelay..Somewhere

Ardan : Footsteps call out from the darkness, as the righteous knights frame begins to come into veiw. The fog which covered most of midnights air, would prove to make things a little more diffucult. Fingers entertwine as a horrid crack shoots through the air, the man nervous habbit of popping his fingers comes forth again. A sigh passes forth from his lips as he sees yet another women of small stature in front of him. It was hard enough for the holy man to try and strike down a woman, let alone a woman on the small side. Never the less, his right arm arcs, leather bound digits grasp the hilt of his blade gingerly. Another sigh, and his body was sent forth, legs carried his lithe frame across the field, his weapon being ripped from it's home. The distnace between the two was brought to a mere three feet before the paladin brought down his sword, hoping to cleave the woman in half.

Rumiko stood in the pale moonlight, eyes faced towards the streets of Kelay as she waited, itched for the one she was to fight to come and face her. As he arrives, the autumn fae sighs, half hoping he'd vanish as her last opponent had. In no time at all the male was upon her, verdant eyes not widening in the slightest as she pulls her scythe before her to block the oncoming attack. With a feral growl, the queen of Enchantment pushes her weapon forward in hopes of forcing Ardan back a few steps and into range for her next move. Swinging her most faithful of weapons before her, she mirrors the others attack-- aiming to slice him from head to toe.

Ardan grins as his arms feel the force of the two weapons connecting, he hasn't been in an actual fight in quite some time. Boots dig deep into the ground, the grin fading to a somewhat surprised look as he begins to be forced back by the woman. The bracelet which resides on his right wrist, begins to glow a faint blue, power begins pumping into him from the magical item, more then enough for what was needed to combat the woman. But as he began to press his weapon against hers, she pulled hers away, sending his inches from her form, also spinning him to his left from the momentum. Eyes gaze back at his foe, only to see her weapon coming down. His legs contort to spin his frame spinning to the left even more, left arms flies up to meet the weapon. Crimson liquid sputters rather hastily from his left forearm, as her weapon was left embedded in it. Using this, his continues the spin, hoping to throw her off balance, bringing his blade around in a arc this time, a rather loud scream bellowing out, from pain and anger.

Rumiko grins as the male is sent spinning, said movements from her lips showing her filed fangs that gleam in the low light of the moon. When her scythe embeds itself within his forearm, that malicious grin fades to a devastated, shocked look; she knew what was to come next. As Ardan spins to the left, not only is the autumn faerie thrown off balance, but her weapon is torn from her grasp and a scream is let out from betwixt carmine lips. "Damn!" As the sword comes around again, she does only what she can- one arm coming down to cover her stomach and the precious cargo she holds within, and the other, unshielded arm moves before her face, taking in the majority of the attack while it landed the edge of the weapon upon her cheek. As the blood trickled from her face, she attacks with her talon covered gauntlets-- aiming to gouge out his eyes.

Ardan eyes grow wide as he see's the apparent mother to be, protect her baby. The momentum, and the bracelet would have been far more then enough to cleave her head from her shoulders. Doin what little he could, to slow it seemed to be enough as it did not do any serious harm, but as his optics gazed unto the women blood, a feeling of disgrace, and horror took over his mind, "Killing soon to be mothers? Is that what I have come to?" He asked himself, oblivious to the fact that his eyes were soon to be no more. His right hand releases the blade, as the womans talons met their mark. Blood poured freely from his sockets, as he reached up to grab her arm with hers. It shouldn't have been to hard as her fingers were in his eye sockets. If this were successful, he would attept to spin the woman around, and hold her frame against his as to protect both of them. All a while, in too much shock to scream, nor do much of anything from the pain.

Rumiko growls softly as soon as she hears his words. "Oh come now... don't give up now, they are protected!" Her thoughts came as freely as the talons did landing on, and in their targets. At this the fae frowned, she hadn't really meant to hurt him so bad, was instinct really- too late to stop now. Another sound flows forth as he grabs her arm, not a scream, not words, no-- she squealed. The queen of Enchantment had not a thought in her head that could place what the man was to do next, being he couldn't see and all. As they start to spin, the woman removes her hands from Ardans wound only to grab at his shoulder, holding tightly as they went around. Motion sickness got the better of her and the autumn faerie lost her lunch, but not before using her knee to try and stop the spinning, by planting it within her opponents middle with a hard thrust.

Ardan’s grip on the woman releases feeling the force of her knee strike dead square to his abdomen. A grunt pass through his lips, as he falls to his knees. Right arms meets the ground, as he tries to catch himself, only to find his blade within his grasp once more. Honor was something this man held true to himself, and what honor was there in trying to kill a woman, let alone one that is bearing a child. Anger filled his body as his grasp clinched his weapon, slamming the blade into the ground, pushing his body up through the pain. He tears the holy weapon from the dirt, and thrust it directly into the air, as a blinding white light radiates forth from it. Sending his own lifes energy out in a dome as he could not tell where the woman was. The woman was surely caught within, as her wounds began to heal, "I'm sorry..." He whispered, as his final attempt was finished, frame falls hard against the floor as his body passed out from the bout.
