Kovl floats into the clearing hesitantly, not knowing if his opponent has the honor to meet him in the open or if he is hidden in the shades of the branches of the trees. Why the kitsune proposed a gamble was beyond the pixie's knowledge, but the tiny creature loves a good challenge. It was not long before he spotted the kitsune, and Kovl, making his appearance known to his opponent bowed to him before attacking. Not seconds after his bow, the pixie whispered words under his breath. A thunderous boom exploded loudly with no apparent origin around Alphonz. If the booming noise hadn't been an illusion, one would expect the surrounding trees to shake in its wake. This was a favorite trick of the pixie, and it's familiar booming sparked the pixie to action. Zooming through the air at top speed, the tiny creature flew to his opponent. In midflight, his right hand skimmed over his many pouches. Kovl adjusts his flight trajectory to a foot above the kitsune's head. A handful of pixie dust now in his hand, Kovl releases a handful above his opponent. Should the dust meet Alphonz, it would cause a sneezing fit. A fit which the pixie hoped to distract and sabotage his opponent's attacks.

Alphonz grinned seeing the pixie standing before him. The mockery of honor in a duel seemed to make the kitsune snicker slightly. The loud banging noise caused the kitsune to grab his ear in pain. Damn that was loud. Though he covered his ears his eyes never left the pixie. As the pixie would start his attack run the trickster released both ears digging his hands into his pockets. With a flourish his hands ten small pellets could be seen being held between his fingers. The first five he hurled onto the ground in front of him. Upon contact a thick grey smoke wall formed before him. With a flick of his other wrists the next five pellets soared out. Before they smashed into the ground the kitsune quickly averted his eyes before the blinding flash of light would go off. Using pellets distraction he gave one last flourish of his hands as two serpentine like daggers seemed to appear in them. The trickster started to run towards the smoke screen quickly shrugging the three headed python from his shoulders. With a dull thump the creature slithered away from prying eyes. Before the trickster pierced his own smoke veil he gave a flick of his left wrist letting the dagger soar through the air to the last place he had saw the pixie.

Kovl 's quick glance down to his opponent had revealed handful of pixie dust which was to meet the kitsune was no longer above his opponent. The pixie's eyes were opposite to the flashes and billows of smoke behind him. Frustrated his prank was not effective, the pixie turned, noticing a knife heading his direction. Without thinking, the tiny creature's wings instinctively took him out of the dagger's trajectory. Now, where had his opponent gone? The pixie's eyes scanned the smoke, unable to spot the kitsune. Kovl reached into the tan satchel hanging on his left side. Finding a shrunken needle and thread strapped within the side of his bag, he withdrew the tiny weapons. As the needle and thread left the satchel at his side, it grew larger, a tiny instrument to humans but large enough to be a sword and a rope for this pixie. Threading the needle, the pixie darted above the smoke, whispered a few words, and a poor copy of himself was created where he used to be. The illusion was only visual. The buzz normally associated with the pixie's flight did not sound. The edges of his illusion were blurred. Only someone who glanced at the unmoving, floating pixie illusion would be convinced of its reality, but the pixie hoped for only a second of his opponent's ill-guidance.

Alphonz gave a small curse at not hearing a scream of pain from his tiny foe. Never the less he had to keep moving on. Rushing through the smoke veil the trickster had to quickly think of a new plan. With this in mind he quickly scanned the tree line sniffing out his trusty companion he rushed for a tree praying the small gambit would work. Grinning he spotted the illusionary pixie and hurled his dagger at it. Merely hoping to gain the pixies attention. The real trap lay in the tree where his snake had hidden amongst the foliage. Its natural coloring perfectly suited to disguise the creature as nothing more then a thicker tree branch. With another set of flourishes from his hands two more of the serpentine daggers appeared. With his trap in place he merely hunkered down preparing himself for the pixies attack rush. Though should the pixie get close enough the three headed python would launch itself from the tree in an attempt to ensnare the little enemy. Should the trap fail the trickster always still had a few more plans to fall back on.

Kovl 's eyes caught another dagger aimed at his illusionary frame. Tracing its trajectory, the pixie found his opponent among the trees. Unsure if the kitsune had noticed him hovering above the smoke, the pixie darted to his location. Midflight, his superior smelling senses had picked up on the python's scent. Where is that python? Oh. There it is. Flinging itself off the tree at me! Kovl's wings stopped flapping in fear of the immediate danger ahead of him. The three-headed snake's fangs were appearing awfully close to the pixie. Flinching, the needle in his hand pierced the mouth of the fox's friend, but not before its snout met the falling pixie. Together they fell to the ground, and the pixie let out a yelp. The snake began to entangle him on the ground. Quickly, the pixie reached in his bag of tricks and flung pixie dust without precision at the entangling entity. This particular dust would shrink the snake's size so that it met its proportionate height to the pixie much like the snake would have proportions to a human.

Alphonz gave a cry of happiness seeing the trap had sprung perfectly. Seeing his companion starting to shrink the trickster had to act quickly. Time for the final plan. Rushing forward the trickster gave a flick of the wrist hurtling the left dagger towards the pixie. The blade in his right hand he kept a secure grip on. As he came within a few feet of the still writhing pair he gave a slight leap into the air. Screaming at the pixie." Kitsune special attack fourteen! Solar knee!" He grinned lightly. Of course this attack was a double fledged trap. Should the pixie try to escape the knee the shrinking snake's three heads would continue to lash out and try to disable the pixie, while at the same time the trickster would launch his last dagger at the pixie. Of course should the pixie be to preoccupied with the snake to notice Alphonz ,and his solar knee, he had no problem dropping the knee on both his pet and the pixie.

Kovl watched in horror as his foe cried his attack and lunged after him. It had a name? It had a freaking name? Although the pixie had not known this item would come in handy, he quickly reached into his bag. What was that he was reaching for? Kovl's hand caught grasp of a... wait. Is that a shoe in his bag? The tiny shoe grew in a blink as it left his bag. Made of simple leather, these shoes were perfect for casual strolls. They were nice quality and should anyone wear them, their soles would feel a bit of heaven. The pixie felt it necessary to steal a single shoe for a previous practical joke. It was too bad such a nice single shoe would have to meet the demise Kovl has chosen. Flipping the shoe so its bottom faced his attacker, Kovl scrambled into it quickly hoping the kitsune's double attack would be blocked by the soles of this beautiful leather shoe.
