Kelay Town Square

You have stepped into the center of this magnificent, little village. To your south stands a commodious, white building. Slender, decorative columns and a menagerie of flowers line its anterior, while several maple trees, ever with the seasons, provide ample shade along the narrow walkway which leads to two large, red doors, the building's only entrance. What appears to be an older, log cabin sits to the north. A worn, stone path leads to its small, brown door, slightly hidden by tall shrubbery surrounding the area. The dusty road continues to your east and west.

First Encounter

Alara walks along the stone path with a strange looking cape draped around her. Upon closer inspection, one could tell that they are her wings and a long tail trails along behind her. Rather tall for a female, one could tell that she is not human nor elf, but something else entirely. She wears a bow across her shoulders and a quiver as well. Snow white hair flowed over her back and shoulders and it just seemed cold around her as she moved along.

Ysari didn't like coming to town too often, and generally just passed through when she did. today she intended to do little different, she just wanted to continue the search for her familiar in a different area today. The short girl was dressed in light attire, though darkly colored attire, a dress which gently flowed down to her ankles and down her arms, the right sleeve ending at the wrist, while the left one had, for whatever reason, been torn off just past the elbow. she had a glass-like gauntlet on her left arm and hand, underneath that one could see a tri-colored Celtic trinity tattoo, red/black/blue, with a slightly glowing cyan core. her right arm had a bracer and a staff in her hand, both made from the same material as her gauntlet. her long silky platinum hair was currently tamed by a few pieces of ribbon intertwined within it. All of her clothes were the same dark-blue color. As she slowly walked down the street, the girl was looking more towards the ground, as if watching her step.

Alara whistled and a large bare came out of the forest and walked by her side, a smile growing on the draconian's lips. She stopped and the bear did too, eyeing the stranger from head to toe. This being a second trip out of the forest she didn't come upon many people and the different races there are in the world of Hollow. She pulled the bow from her shoulders and held it at her side, while words were not spoken to the stranger. The bear stood up beside it's friend, grunting and snorting as well.

Ysari looks up to see from whence the whistle sounded, to discover, somehow, yet another of the interesting races of hollow, he kind-of recognized a draconian from her first... incident upon arriving in Hollow some time ago. She took a half-step back when the bear made it's appearance, initially placing the staff forward in a somewhat lousy, though defensible stance. After a few seconds, when she realized that she wasn't going to be assaulted, she relaxed her pose, and saw that she was being studied as well. She planted the staff, which was slightly taller then herself, onto the stone right in front of her, and leaned on it slightly, taking the moment to study the two creatures before her.

Alara laughed at the defensive stance the other took, "Putting half your heart into that defense isn't enough to make us worried. You need to mean it to intimidate someone." Again she laughed then looked to the bear, nodding her head with amusement. The woman's voice sounded harsh and cold, but by the looks of her grey eyes, she was just having a bit of fun. Taking a deep breath, she pulled a yellow lily from her hair and spoke in a strange language, when the stones below their feet started to shift and part as plants began to grown and cover them. "And there is plenty more where that came from. So stranger, what brings you to this village?"

Ysari | The almost perfect expression of 'oh crap' on Ysari's face was probably priceless when the stranger began speaking, she watched as she cast some form of spell and returned her attention to Ysari. Asking now what brought her to the village... Unable to voice a spoken reply, Ysari raised her left hand and decided to try her luck with telepathy again. Drawing upon her energies, she slowly waved her hand and letters started forming, written for the convenience of the stranger rather then the writer. They were a little shoddy, as the girl was far from mastering it's use, hopefully they were at least legible... "Just passing through." she returned her hand to the staff, a slight ting sound came from the metal-on-metal interaction.

Alara smiled and instead of reading the words she looked away to her growing plants, "Most seem to do so. They pass through and forget that there is a beautiful forest around them with life that they couldn't possibly imagine." Again, she whistled and the bear left and she stepped aside to let the stranger walk on. "Just remember, as you pass through, there are always eyes watching from the plants to the animals, from me to the elves that live in this forest."

Ysari hesitated, she was quite familiar with the surrounding forests, life and scenery, as a wayfarer she generally stayed to the wilds, she felt no need to defend her position, but in all reality, she was still trying to fight her anti-social nature... Ysari waved her hand across the writing from before, watching as it vanished. She paused a moment before writing something else, considering the wording first; "I am a wayfarer, I understand this law." She remained in her place, somewhat eager to get a response, and see what would happen.

Alara says "It isn't a law but the way of life in this forest. We all watch and prepare to attack those who endanger this beautiful world. It doesn't matter who you are or what you are, we do not play favorites and will punish those, even friends who think it wise to test us."

Ysari sighed, erasing her last words and starting anew once more. "I have no intention of harming the world, though there may be times where I can't avoid some" she figured she might as well be honest about that, some of her powers were still quite volatile, and she had little no no control over most of her element.

Alara nodded her head, then turned and vanished through into the forest. A flick of her tail, the last to be seen of her.
