Axe of Creeping Rot - (Weapon +10)

Description:

A single-bladed axe, created by the elves that formerly lived in Sage Forest, this weapon is big enough to fit Eboric's huge hand, thus uncomfortable large for lesser men. The bottom of the blade hooks down in a sort of a beard, and intersecting patterns of silver wire, hammered into the blade, give it an ornate look that belies its deadly purpose. The axe is enchanted with druidic magic, able to infect a wound with that most powerful of nature's weapons: decay. A wound inflicted by this axe will begin to rot at a swift rate, the severity of the rot directly relative to the severity of the original wound. Each time the axe is bathed in an enemy's blood, it grows stronger. Likewise, the longer it is inactive, the weaker the magic becomes. Faced with fighting a Ghroundium golem, Eboric brought the axe to Satoshi, who enchanted it with arcane spells to rust metal in the same way it rots flesh.

History:

The axe was created for and given to Eboric in return for assisting the elves with their flight from Sage Forest.
