Armored Golden Cockatrice Mount - (Pet (+10)

Description:

A three meter tall scaled bird with golden feathers, possessing a deadly petrifying gaze. Golden Cockatrices are also occasionally used as lightly armored war mounts, assisting their riders in battle with their beak and claws. 'Bloodbeak' was the name given to Quintessa's Cockatrice mount whom has since become bonded to the changeling. Highly aggressive and strongly territorial, cockatrices are known for their foul temperament.

History:

Originally gifted to Quintessa by a noble benefactor in Vailkrin, Bloodbeak was first simply fitted with an exotic saddle and used as a way for an apprentice mage to travel back and forth between the Necromancer's Guild in Vailkrin and the Mage's Guild in Xalious. Over time his hex blade mistress found it necessary to have him fitted with steel scale mail armor which she enchanted to protect him against the natural elements.

Though Bloodbeak views Quintessa as his one and only true owner, Karasu Swiftclaw is often seen riding this unique armored bird around Lithrydel, indicating that she has earned his respect.
